Beautifully decorated, lovely furniture. I met a friend here for breakfast . When we arrived one member of staff said hi but when I went to order drinks another was eating and looked at me like I was being a pain for ordering drinks.
A simple thing that could have been changed was there was no sugar on tables. We found this strange you had to go to the front counter and I had to ask for a teaspoon for both my friend and I . The member of staff was shocked and had to dry some for us to use !!
Menu basic, food came quickly and was hot but more like breakfast at greasy spoon cafe than anything else. No interaction from staff to check if food was ok or we had everything we needed just dumped down . Not sure they wanted us there to be honest
No toilets on site either.
Great cafe visited here recently, best breakfast within miles, cooked perfectly, plentiful, hot, served by very friendly and courteous staff. Coffee was also very good
will be back soon highly recommended.

Beautiful food, friendly service and a really memorable experience.
The food was just so tasty. Glorious flavours and deliciously fragrant. Adored the pomegranate chicken and the King of Persia too! To be fair it was all delicious…the meat with the mixed kebabs was so tender!!!
Will definitely be going back asap!!!
I've reviewed before but have to review again because it's just *that* good.
I've been here about 5/6 times now for food, wouldn't go anywhere else now if we're after a curry.
The food is unreal, tastes homemade - not like the generic sauces you get in every other Indian restaurant. Portion size is brilliant (do not order more than one portion of onion bahjji 🤣). They definitely don't scrimp on meat, the lamb is my favourite, always so tender!
My kids absolutely love it here as well.
Management and staff are always lovely, really friendly - I even got a compliment on how old I look so brownie points there ha!
Would definitely recommend, little hidden gem in the middle of Sheldon, who'd have thought!
Thanks staff again for another lovely dinner!
First time we ordered tonight+it didn't disappoint 🙌 We both had pizza and it arrived before allocated time piping hot it was delicious. We will definitely be ordering again it was fabulous 👌 highly recommended 😀
I was looking after my elderly father for the day & we came for a potter around Uttoxeter. I wanted somewhere for us to eat & chose this based on the TA reviews. We weren't disappointed. The service was cheerful & the food was great. I'd particularly recommend the Rocky Road! This is a great value café & I will return next time I'm in town.
Cannot quite understand some previous reviews as they do not align with our experience. On both our visits the cakes and snacks were excellent, well accomplished cooking and tea and coffee were good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Furniture is simple but is not poor condition and is sufficient for this establishment. Excellent little cafe with superb patisserie.
Best breakfast I have had in a long time and I have quite a few!! It is hard to beat Rick Steins breakfast but I have to say as breakfasts go this is up there!! Hot plates!! Old school catering at its best. The ladies were lovely. It is a bit rough and ready in the cafe but that’s what gives it character. Food was all piping hot so you could take your time eating it. Not like most places trying to be something they are defo not!! Lovely!! X
I am a Coventry kid who can’t stand the likes of McDonalds and Starbucks so I have really tried to like the whole FarGo village experience but previous events haven’t made this easy. I came to The coffee festival which I found out was only in one establishment which gave me the chance to have a wander on a Saturday afternoon. I had a drink in the Twisted Barrel but still can’t get my head around a vegan menu so came here for a meal and a drink ironically brewed at the Twisted Barrel. Lovely food, relaxed atmosphere and not a bad price considering. FarGo village has become my favourite place and today has made me advocate the independent restaurant which is something I always wanted it to do.
