Received a warm welcome in the cafe which is very nicely decorated inside. Good menu choices for lunch. Between us we had soup, veggie breakfast and oatcakes. All the food was nice and good value for money. Cash only which wasn't a problem.

Requested a Pannini and received a rubbish baguette. They did not have bottled water and charged 50pence each for tap water.

Not sure how you’re classed as veggie friendly when veggie breakfasts don’t even include a vegetarian sausage for same price as a traditional breakfast? How difficult is it to cook and stock vegetarian sausages? It’s 2022!!

Visited for breakfast whilst on a break in Uttoxeter. Very reasonable prices and a great selection of lunch and breakfast options. Ordered oatcakes which is something we rarely get to try as we are Nothern. A full English and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was cooked hot and fresh and the meats were very tasty. Well worth a visit

After a wander around Uttoxeter, came across this little cafe. Outside was clean and tidy looking which drew us to it. Inside was warm and tables were well spaced. We were able to choose our table and a waitress was with us shortly after. Friendly service, followed by good food. We decided to stay for dessert, the fresh cupcakes and apple pie were great. All in all a good experience

We happened upon the cafe by chance and what a lucky chance that was. A haven of warmth, friendliness and excellent food on a dismal, chilly day. The staff were absolutely brilliant, helping with what (as a Coeliac) I could eat from their traditional menu. in the event, my husband and I chose the breakfast. - he had the mega breakfast! -and thoroughly enjoyed the well cooked and well presented plateful of fresh food. Everything was spot on - accompanied by an excellent coffee. We would highly recommend seeking out this slightly out of the way place - you won't be disappointed.

Heading north to visit family and looking for somewhere to stretch our legs and take some refreshment, Uttoxeter was the chosen destination, mainly because we'd never been. We were lucky to spot the Old Saddlers Yard tucked away off the High Street (opposite Greggs, as it happens) and took an outside table. Filled oatcakes went down very well, the cafe was clean and well-run and there were obviously plenty of regulars popping in and being greeted by name, which is always a good sign. It's old-fashioned to be sure but it must be a winning formula, and that quiet sunny yard is a definite plus.

Although l have driven through Uttoxeter many, many times, l have never actually been into the town. We were hungry & we were told of this place. What a lovely surprise. Very clean, very friendly staff & breakfast beautifully cooked & presented. One of the best l have had away from my own kitchen. Got two lovely cups of tea from teapot & they didn't skimp on the milk. Will definitely call again

Proper sized panini too - non of these small ones you get in some places.Plenty of room, free WiFi and lovely staff. All topped off my a reasonable price for good food.

Took my elderley disabled mum to Uttoxter for a few hours on Wednesday 5th August, we arrived early and I remember me and my wife going to a,little cafe about 2 years ago, what I dint know was it had new owners, it is situated down a alleyway and mum managed to park her mobility scooter outside the cafe. We went in and I had the large breakfast whilst my mum and my wife both had small breakfast and my son who has autism had a small breakfast without egg and the owner put on a extra bacon for him. we all had drinks and the bill was really reasonable..We will def come here again when in the area.

Stopping in Uttoxeter was an unplanned stop en route South. In need of a break and refreshment we headed up the short pedestrianised main street and spotted Roses down a small alleyway. This is clearly a popular cafe and was quite busy. Our coffee was excellent ant the generous portions of coffee and walnut cake left us ready to carry on our journey. This was such a great place, and independently owned, that we made a point of visiting several days later on our journey North. Roses was busier than ever but we were served quickly, enjoyed our snack and were soon on our way again. Our next comment is hopefully helpful, rather than critical. The toilet is immediately opposite the kitchen. Not sure what can be done about this, but it could do with attention. Also, only providing a hand towel does not help with customer hygiene - paper towels or hand drier would be better. This being said, would not hesitate to return to this delightful cafe.Oh, they also have free Wifi.

We called in by chance just of the high street down Saddlers yard. Slightly too many tables made the job of getting around this tea room a bit of a problem. The prices are almost too reasonable (very low) I had a breakfast that was new to the menu called breakfast in bed. This consisted a 10" Yorkshire pudding filled with bacon sausage beans mushroom & a hashbrown with a couple of rounds of toast. Although top marks for thinking outside of the conventional box, but it didn't quite work for me. Also it would be better served with a good quality local sausage, even if the price was a little higher.

Had to write a review for Roses cafe after my last visit! Under its new owners, Jane and Carol the place has become a lovely place to eat, relax and have a cuppa. They have really turned the cafe around! Possibly the cheapest place to eat in Uttoxeter, the food was delicious, fast to arrive and complemented by lively chat and a warm welcome! Overall it was a lovely visit, and will be returning asap!
