Always a great breakfast but the scrambled eggs on toast are the best. Lovely, friendly service and great value. You can tell only the best produce is used. So warm and welcoming. I’ll be going back!

Was visiting Stitches and happened to wander up through the alleyway to the side of the shop. The Buttercup is near the top and we popped in for lunch - our first visit. What a gem of a find. We both had omelettes which were well-filled and accompanied by a salad which had obviously been prepared with care. We finished with the Scone of the Week which was a Wimbledon Scone: baked with pieces of strawberry and filled with fresh strawberry and cream. A delicious lunch and The Buttercup will now be our regular place of call when visiting Leominster. As an aside: this alleyway is well worth a visit at the moment with marvellous display of knitted flowers.

Visited The Buttercup recently for a quick cuppa and cake. The place was lovely and clean. Very good service, excellent tea (with a separate pot of hot water) and wonderful homemade cakes. Loved the ginger cake. A little gem in Leominster.

I was working in the library and popped in here for a coffee to sneak back in. Unlike the well known chains, this little place has a take out price for hot drinks. Even better, the coffee was delicious. So nice to drink something that was not over priced AND generic. I also bought a slice each of coffee and walnut cake (vegan, I think) and Victoria sandwich to take home (and, yes, share!!!). These, it turned out, are made specifically for the cafe and were cut with a generous hand. I'm eating a piece of the coffee cake right now and it is divine! Visit and support this place. If it's coffee and cake you're after you won't be disappointed.

This little cafe has an extensive selection of food to choose from. The all day breakfast was enjoyable and the soup with cheese scones on the side was popular. It was novel to be in a cafe where everyone was reading books or papers rather than being engrossed in their smart phones or computers. It only takes cash so make sure you have enough.

This was my first visit to Leominster and sadly, as I was working there I had only. short time for lunch. The Buttercup is next to he Library and very close to the short stay carpark, which was convenient. The staff were very welcoming, and when I explained that I had little time they really pulled the stops out to serve me quickly. There is not a huge choice, but a good range of jacket potatoes with salad on the side and a variety of single fillings that can be added to.

Spotted this little gem as we had a wander around Leominster before continuing on our long journey. Good choice available for lunch including various daily specials. We both had jacket potatoes and they were lovely (one of the best I have had when eating out), with plenty of filling and lovely little side salad. Unfortunately didn't try any of the cakes on offer but they had enough to tempt and suit all tastes...some interesting combinations available!

Spotted this place as we parked our car on a day out to Leominster (actually specifically a trip to the cook shop) and noticed that although it was tucked away in a shopping mews it had a steady stream of customers. By lunch time we were in search of a friendly place with good quality food to take our two year old grandson and after trawling round Leominster surveying various eateries, we decided to return to The Buttercup. There was still a steady stream of people so we took this as a good sign. The place was spacious enough to accommodate the pushchair and it was bright and unpretentious so we took a chance. So glad we did! The food, fairly simple fare, was delicious and well presented, and the coffee was made congenially to our plea for 'extra hot' - so many places get stuffy or annoyed with that request! Nothing was too much trouble, staff were delightful especially the blonde lady who served us, and every morsel was eaten because it was so good. We would definitely visit again and would like to thank all at The Buttercup for providing such a lovely experience.

Went in for a quick snack, ended up with what was more like a main meal - my friend had prawn sandwiches - the bread was lovely and chunky, plenty of filling, nice side salad. I had prawn cocktail - not one of your silly in-a-glass affairs but a large portion of prawns on lettuce with lots of salad and bread - wish I had had the granary bread instead of the white. All very delicious. Slightly pricey but there were other cheaper options on the menu such as cheese on toast, egg on toast etc.

Visiting Leominster and called in here for a drink. Ordered a large hot chocolate and a large milky coffee. Not cheap! When they came the hot chocolate was the size of a small in Costa and the coffee the size of an expresso. Took it away with the biscuits ( which didn't come back ) for one that was still about a small in Costa. Milky coffee made with half Water! Would I go there again. "Wild horses" comes to mind.

Pleasant surroundings outside, unfortunately the food was not too a very high standard. Ham and piccalilli sandwich, ham tasteless (wafer thin and breaded, supermarket family pack springs to mind). Should have been advertised as a Piccalilli sandwich, Coffee was fine.

I absolutely love being in this place and it has a beautifully calm feel. However I am totally astonished by the dolls-house size servings for lunch- at normal lunch prices. I almost asked them if they hadn’t accidentally given me a kiddie’s portion - for a cheaper price- as for over £9 I got two slices of delicious small rye toast, about 7 very small lettuce leaves, 4 olives and a small pot of delicious dip. All very tasty but absolutely not a main course. I know I these are locally sourced ingredients but this felt really wrong. I will definitely return for post lunch coffees but will make sure to eat somewhere else where I can fuel up for lunch before hand.
