I've reviewed before but have to review again because it's just *that* good. I've been here about 5/6 times now for food, wouldn't go anywhere else now if we're after a curry. The food is unreal, tastes homemade - not like the generic sauces you get in every other Indian restaurant. Portion size is brilliant (do not order more than one portion of onion bahjji 🤣). They definitely don't scrimp on meat, the lamb is my favourite, always so tender! My kids absolutely love it here as well. Management and staff are always lovely, really friendly - I even got a compliment on how old I look so brownie points there ha! Would definitely recommend, little hidden gem in the middle of Sheldon, who'd have thought! Thanks staff again for another lovely dinner!

This is a pub with a troubled past but has reopened under new management and completely different focus. It has an Indian kitchen good selection of beers very friendly staff and the customers seem happy and content. A truly remarkable remake and an assist to the local community

Fui allí 3 veces en 8 días sábado 18ª comida fue genial, pero no vino tinto ni media pinta vasos. Luego fue el viernes 24 con amigos sin vino tinto, ni media pinta de vasos tenía que tener media pinta en vasos de pinta. Y tampoco agua tónica. Pero la comida estaba buena. Luego fui nuevamente el sábado 25 con mi familia y amigos para el cumpleaños de mi sobrino y de mi sobrino y nuevamente la comida fue excelente, pero nuevamente no vino tinto o rosado. y jengibre seco, pero me dijeron que el jengibre seco era un cliente cuando traía el suyo. La próxima vez que vaya, tomaré mis propias bebidas, así que si no tienen lo que quiero, beberé las mías.

No idea why it was so quiet! My partner and I were the only people in the restaurant section on a Saturday afternoon which was concerning - but the food and beers were all spot on for the price paid! Not the spiciest or richest curry I’ve ever had, but certainly not the blandest! Keep it up guys, I hope it picks up of Christmas!

If you want the best curry in the west midlands visit the mount taven in Birmingham. The English food is just as good. We also go for the kids birthday's,in fact we are back next week.

This place has been turned around from a few years ago, good food ,staff are friendly and you can see your food being cooked from fresh. 5 🌟.

The first visit to the mount was a disaster was given a booth, we asked to be moved to a table as the booths are very small was offered a table in the dark and unsuitable so decided to leave they were apologetic and gave us some free starters as we decided to have a takeaway instead, we were told to request a table next time. So now to today’s visit 9/3/19 we had requested a table by the window as instructed when booking well in advance. when we arrived surprise surprise we were given the same table as previously in the dark and totally unsuitable and so rickety the drinks were spilling and no way could you have eaten a meal on it. We complained this was not what we had requested and was told the ‘girl’ had not written our request down. Not apologetic at all when we said we were leaving and even though there were empty reserved tables they were not willing to give us one of those to rectify their error. Sorry won’t be returning as the customer service is just not up to scratch so it’s two strikes and your out I’m afraid.

Have become a regular the food is amazing, usually have curry but thought id try the steak for a change the hubby was so jel he never had it. If you want to change something or add something to ur meal they are happy to do so, the chilli an garlic mushrooms are delicious but i suggest a glass of water if ur a wimp like me. All the staff work hard an are friendly an welcoming.

Lovely Indian food freshly cooked, unlike most in the area. The staff are pleasant and very helpful but because when the phone is in use you are unable to pay by card the delay is dreadful and the queue at the bar builds up (I waited for about 15 mins to be served 2 drinks and it was not busy).if you are calling to book the card reader creates a noise on the line so you are unable to talk to anyone on the phone i.e book a table etc. I hope you take this as constructive feedback as its loosing you business from not having decent broadband.

After hearing good reviews, I was really looking forward to our visit but have to say was a little disappointed. A group of us went for a friends birthday and as it was a celebration we ordered a bottle of prosecco, when my husband returned from the bar he said he had paid £20 which seemed a bit steep but obviously you do pay more when you are eating out but when we looked at the bottle it was actually m&s cava which you can buy from the shop for about £10 !! My friend ordered two different starters which when they came out they were the same dish but different names when she asked why she wasn’t told this when she ordered she was told that they didn’t realise it was the same dish ! The food was nice but nothing special and the place seemed very disorganised.The only real positive was the friendly waitress that served us.

I go here regularly and I have to say it's the best food around my area...... The staff are always very welcoming and nothing is to much for them if you want a nice place to eat then I would give the Mount tavern a try... Five stars ✨

Took our kids from local boxing club for Christmas meal. Excellent service managing to get 20 different meals out on time from Curry to pizza ! Great quality food. Would highly recommend to families.
