The best restaurants in West Midlands

Another visit whilst visiting family in the area. If only we lived closer we’d be here as often as we could. The food is just incredible, there is a really varied menu to suit all tastes and the range of more traditional dishes alongside a fantastic range of speciality dishes makes it hard to choose! Whether you choose traditional or speciality the quality is the best. My Vegetable Dhansak was superb and my husband’s Himalayan Special Chicken was too. Starters were just as good, they make the best Chana chat puri I’ve ever had and this is always my choice when here. My husband opted for the Chicken bhutuwa which was superb. The Himalayan is the best in the area for both eating in and take away food. Staff are always lovely, really welcoming and friendly and service is brilliant. Can’t wait until our next visit.

I've walked past a few times and had assumed it was another basic Stourbridge High Street takeaway! I'd heard other things though, so gave it a try. We weren't disappointed. Nice interior, service friendly enough, but the food was so tasty! Some great starters (a feta cheese pastry roll and beef sausages) and the main was excellent. I opted for the adana kofta: minced lamb with spices 'reformed', which came with rice and salad. So good! Look forward to going back!

Great food, always polite and lovely staff

We were visiting Stratford for a flying visit. We wanted to find somewhere for lunch. We saw the barge, thought what a lovely setting. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quick service what a delicious Pizza, authentic and tasty. Drinks good too. Would highly recommend, we would call again next time in Stratford.

First time here tonight . We both very pleased with our meals, good value for money and a quick service for a takeaway meal. We will be back soon .

We have just had the best Sunday lunch ever, the Chef Linda is the most amazing chef ever. You could actually taste every bit of the meal, we have never had such good meal before and will definitely return. It was too much for me so I have a doggie bag for tomorrow.

Absolutely fantastic food, service and flipping great value for money. Would recommend this place for anyone who wants a cracking curry. Thanks for the meal.

This place was quite recently renovated but since then it might be slightly tidier- a new paint job and a nice awning in the garden but nothing else has improved. The service was extremely slow and the food is very mediocre.

Very good price. Food was excellent. Lovely little place, very scenic if weather permits sitting outside.

Sadly they’ve moved on but I’m told the new people are very good. Will be trying them in the New Year!
