Very good price. Food was excellent. Lovely little place, very scenic if weather permits sitting outside.

Really lovely, peaceful setting. Super food and service. Cafe open until 4pm. Fishing lake open from 7am - 7pm. Parking alongside with wheelchair access Perfect for a chilled visit and service with a smile. Highly recommended.

A beautiful little cafe with amazing views of the lake, this was my 2nd visit so I decided to take a couple of my friends and my son who had never been before. My son loved the views, he watched the geese walking about the grounds and said how peaceful it was. Staff are friendly and attentive, the cafe is clean and organised, a small selection of cakes to choose from amongst other items on the menu. A beautiful hidden gem.

Good food at a reasonable price

Tasty food, freshly prepared, good prices, pleasant lakeside location. Can get a bit noisy inside ... Needs some sound dampening.

Disappointed - the smell of stale cooking oil spoils the outdoor space, grumpy unhelp staff.

Found this place while coming back from Albrighton so we all popped in for cake and drinks,the out door view is beautiful all the food is cooked from fresh.

A very welcome stop for breakfast or a light bite. Lovely outlook, plenty of parking. Accessibility from the top car park was ok for able bodies, as a few big steps. Clean, light & airy inside eating area. Didn't get to check the facilities 🚻 Food was freshly cooked & well presented. I opted for the veggie breakfast, minus the tomato. Really good. Filled me up nicely without being over the top. Defo worth a visit if in the area 👍

This cafe is unique, and hidden away overlooking a large lake. I visited on a rainy day and had a lovely brunch. I can imagine during the summer months given its setting it would be even nicer to visit and sit outside. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I ordered a pot of tea and a small breakfast (see photo). All delicious! The cakes on display looked beautiful but I resisted temptation as I was full from my breakfast. 5 stars!

Lovely cafe overlooking a large lake. Very welcoming and friendly We ordered an Americano coffee and a pot of tea plus a slice of old school style cafe jam and coconut plus a slice of lemon butter cream. All was delicious and the cakes evoked lots of memories real taste of gorgeous home made goodness. Team were really helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.

Our usual cafe was closed and we stumbled across lakeside cafe after a quick google search! We were told on entering there would be about a 40 minute wait for food due to staff shortages, most places don't do this so we appreciated that and we were happy to wait. Staff were very friendly even though they were up against it! Great views, the freshest breakfast, the hottest coffee and not forgetting the yummiest homemade cakes.. I'm looking forward to returning to my new favourite cafe! xx

Probably the best cooked breakfast in the area to be honest, always spot on and use the best ingredients. Family ran and they are all really nice and hardworking. I hope this place does really well

We ate outdoors on a sunny day overlooking the lake. I had a small breakfast. High-quality bacon and sausage, which was really nice. We also had a good pot of tea. The price was reasonable. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely little cafe, brilliant view; however, it’s got nothing on the food and service which is absolutely exquisite. 10’s around the board

Bright and cheerful. The food we had was good and all the rest we saw looked good and was well presented. On a sunny day no doubt it's also nice to sit outside. Staff were pleasant and cheerful. One small drawback - it is all hard surfaces with no soft furnishings at all to baffle the sound so that although it was a fairly small cafe the noise of conversations and cutlery bounced off every surface which made it a bit difficult to hear even those on my table.

We stopped here with family and friends en route to Wales and were initially pleased with our first impressions of the cafe. The location is lovely and the cafe itself looked modern and clean. We had chosen this cafe as a pit stop after reading Google had advertised the cafe as a picnic location. Originally we had all planned to buy food however after reading the Google reviews about the delays in serving food, some of us decided to take a picnic. Some of us did however purchase food and drinks. Whilst waiting to order my drinks (which took over 5 minutes before someone took the order) I observed one of the employees hurrying into the kitchen complaining loudly about some of the customers outside. It emerged that she was not happy that some of our party had brought their own food. She left the cafe and spoke to some of our party. They understood the situation, stopped consuming the food and finished the hot drinks that that been ordered. Some of the party also moved away from the table so as to not take up any room even though there were many spare tables available for any new customers. Unfortunately we could not leave as soon as we wanted as my drinks still hadn’t arrived some 25 minutes later. In hindsight I wonder if this was a strategy to make us leave sooner. When I asked after the drinks, another employee told me that it wasn’t acceptable for us to be taking up tables and using the spaces in the car park as we were stopping people from being able to access the cafe. She was rude and confrontational. I informed her that some of our party had ordered food and explained that we had stopped at the cafe after seeing it listed online as a picnic spot. She refuted this fact, then stormed into the kitchen, appearing moments later with her phone and telling me again that the cafe was not a picnic spot. I asked for a refund which took much longer than it should have done. When we left, there were lots of tables and car parking spaces available. If the staff hadn’t been so rude, we would’ve stopped on the way home however we will avoid this establishment and recommend that they learn how to communicate professionally and politely with customers. The only polite member of staff was the young guy on the till.

My party partly bought their own food as well as purchasing items from the cafe. When it was communicated to us that we were unable to consume our own food at the picnic tables we apologised and put it away. However, some staff used this an excuse to be rude and unfriendly, we could hear them moaning about us to one another. Very unprofessional. The food/drink we did order took so long to come that we ended up having to get a refund. Lovely location but not worth it for the downer it bought to the start of our holiday.

Best cafe around, it's as simple as that.

Went for a late breakfast/brunch this morning (takeaway) just before 12 and they had sold out of sausage eggs and bacon ! - this happened about 2 - 3 weeks ago as well in the week. When you get food it is top notch but stock management appears to be appalling to run out of such basic items pretty often. When we have had food (eat in and take out) it is really nice but its often comes after a long wait - by now you would expect both stock and staffing to match busier times so as to not disappoint customers. A victim of their own success at the moment it would seem and improvements need to be made before we return.

Lovely location. I went when it was raining and cloudy, will visit again in the sunshine as out door seating area over looks a small lake. Nice, fairly proced coffee and a good selection of food to choose from.

Breakfast was good. Service was slow, although we had been warned of a wait, bit odd as it wasn't really that busy. Sat inside...place is new fresh and very clean, staff were pleasant. I would return.

The most important feature of a cafe is the food. This is one of the best value for money cafes. Not full of grease, well cooked and delicious.

Visited today at lunch time and was told it would be a 50 minute wait for our order (toasties). We agreed to wait as it was a lovely, sunny day. Food was OK and a nice bit of fresh salad on the side. Very expensive for what it was. Staff were not very welcoming and no apology for the late arrival of our food. It wasn't too busy around 8 other tables so not sure what the problem was with the delay in getting food out? Tables left with old plates and not cleared the whole time we were there. Unfortunately we wouldn't visit again which is a shame as its such a lovely location. Management need to re think their staffing and customer service. Wouldn't recommend currently.

Had a really nice brunch there today, avocado, bacon & poached eggs on sour dough toast. Hubby had eggs benediction. Delicious and very generous size. Shame the weather wasn't very good as they have tables outside with a view of the lake.

This is one of our favourite places to eat at the moment. The food is high quality. The coffee is very nice. Service is very good. The view of the pool is very nice. It can get busy but it has a great atmosphere.

Food is nice, but the lovely outdoor location is the reason we visited. Unfortunately as others have mentioned, the service is not great - even my twelve year old commented that when my husband was placing his order, the girl serving us was chatting away to another member of staff. We sat outside and had a long wait for drinks. We waited almost an hour for our food, which for scrambled eggs on toast seemed very excessive, but no apology was offered. The inside isn't very homely feeling at all, and outdoors could benefit from some patio umbrellas as there is no shade when the sun is out (especially when you're waiting an hour). When we left no thank you or goodbye was given. This was our third visit and I think it will be our last unfortunately - there are many other lovely cafes nearby.

Top tier breakfasts, staff are always polite and friendly, lovely location. Takeaway sandwiches are always hot, fresh and delicious.

Brilliant place i come fishing here some great fishing to be had and literally 5 star toilets/showers. The cafe is a hidden gem beautiful surroundings and even better food.

Beautiful location overlooking the lake and has the potential of being such a lovely café but improvements definitely need to be made. 1. No gluten free option at all was not even asked if we have any specific dietary requirements (which is actually a legal requirement now) 2. Food and hot drinks were Lukewarm 3. Our dirty plates were not collected off the table for at least 30 minutes 4. Staff were not welcoming at all. Hospitality was just not there Experience overall was disappointing

Absolutely lovely little place right by a beautiful lake. Downside that I’ve experienced now twice when I’ve visited, is that the staff seem moody or down and not really welcoming when you order or come to the cafe. I have worked in hospitality and sometimes you just need a welcoming greeting and some cheerfulness when you come into a place to make you want to go back! I don’t think there’s many options on the menu for vegetarians. There is not much organisation with prices and options to change meals to adjust dietary requirements, as there was a lot of question asking to other staff in regards to changes in the order and prices with that, so a bit of confusion. The hot drinks are lovely, but I think just bringing a bit of warmth to the staff would be very positive and welcoming for all customers.

Quite possibly the best cooked breakfast I have experienced. Staff very welcoming and great views over the lake. Recommended highly.

Great little cafe with freshly cooked food

After being recommended, Came out for a family breakfast for 5 people today at 11.30, arrived 11.20, (which was booked and confirmed yesterday) To arrive and to be told had been taken by other people (even though reserve sign was on) If reserve sign was on for us why would you take another party’s order!!!!! No apology, no sign of management, no offer of return due to YOUR mistake!! No effort in making us want to return!!

Booked table yesterday for five people for 11.30 today , arrived 11.20 to be told table had been taken by some other people , who had supposedly removed reserve sign , told didn’t know when table would be available ,poor waitress nobody else would . speak to us ,no apology

Nice new place, lovely views over the lake and river. Impressive breakfast and lunch menu, plus cakes, scones, coffee and tea 😋

The location is idyllic and I can imagine in the summer will be amazing to sit outside. (We sat out in October and it was still lovely). We came across this place by chance and glad we did. This was our first time visiting. We ordered the eggs benedict, jacket potatoes and a kids meal. The food standard was excellent and staff were friendly too. Would definitely recommend this little gem of a place!

Don't like to leave a bad review as been here a few times for breakfast and it has been very good. Today we went for lunch for the first time and waited 40min for cheese and beans on toast and a fish finger sandwich. Less than half a can of beans that were luke warm and only two fish fingers on the sandwich. A bit disappointed compared to previous visits. Had to ask for the table to be cleaned also. Please don't let standards slip.

Visited with my family on a Saturday morning, the food was fantastic, the location was beautiful and the service was second to none. Would definitely recommend it, will 100% be returning again.

Most beautiful country side experience eating outside

Very nice location overlooking the pool, so is very pleasant if eating inside or outside. Food was tasty and staff were very good, catering to our specific requirements. Food was brought over quite quickly and with a smile.
