Tea & Roses never lets you down with a fantastic service and quality of food on offer! One of the best tea room options in Bridgnorth, fully recommend a visit. Bare in mind, there is not a huge volume of seating, and is always busy, if they could find a way to get more seats somehow, it would be great!

My friend and I went to Tea and Roses yesterday afternoon for afternoon tea for her birthday. I have to say it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly and extremely efficient. The afternoon tea was to die for and by far one of the best I have ever had. All homemade, sandwhiches, quicke with salad. The cakes were so tasty and again all homemade. I will definitely be returning and to make it extra special it was jubilee themed. Too much food to eat so we were given a box to take the rest home Highly recommend it

I visited today for my birthday.there were 4 of us for afternoon tea.firstly I'll explain why I've only left 3 stars.the food was nice ..all homemade cakes etc..but the coffee was literally like water..it didn't taste of anything...however the staff were fabulous!!! Tom especially was incredibly polite efficient and friendly.we had some requirements and they were all met..and his service was second to none!! The other young lad was also lovely ..Sam..would I go for afternoon tea again..no..purely because in my opinion it's just too expensive.76.00..i could get a weeks worth of food shopping for that.i will of course return becay the lads are fantastic..but not for afternoon tea..sorry

Today I was introduced to this popular venue. I chose coffee with hot milk and a cheese scone. I have to say the coffee was piping hot with hot milk on the side served with a really nice warm cheese scone. There was also a soup on the menu, but that's for another visit. The cafe appeared to be extremely popular and four people were queuing for. Vacant table. The nice thing about Tea and Roses is that one passes through their shop which has plenty of possible gifts, decorations and cards. I can thoroughly recommend a visit.

We are regulars and there's always interesting specials that vary plus good quality menu food. Thoroughly recommended generally but specifically Tom who's customer service skills are what I would deem to be exemplary and frankly he ought to be a professional trainer as he has got it just right in that he looks after his clients well but isn't over intrusive. Well done Tom!

A very tasty Cheese and ham toastie with some of the nicest coffee I’ve ever had. A bespoke chicken and salad sandwich for my dairy intolerant wife with the best Earl Grey tea that she’s ever had. What a beautiful shop, the window displays here are always divine! So much thought and creativity goes into every last detail of this space. It’s always worth spending a few minutes just checking out all the items on display. Also being an Annie Sloane paint stockist, the painted furniture and props are great inspiration for any home projects, (the staff are also so good at helping with colour choices and techniques.) Inside This shop is an Aladdins cave of giftable treasures! Beautiful greetings cards, candles, jewellery and much much more! The Christmas wonderland of beautiful gifts and decorations at the moment are so pretty! And if a warming cuppa and cake are your thing you truly won’t be disappointed! Oh my goodness the cakes are so good, and the service here is genuinely super friendly as well. Truly fitting and a lovely place to visit in the heart of Bridgnorth High Street.

Nice little place on the high street. It's not big and seems to get busy, so we were lucky to get a seat. I like the quirky environment. Staff were very nice, well the lad looking after us and the food is good. One guy running around and I asked if "he was by himself" And he replied "no, we've been busy and everyone else is in the kitchen" I wish they'd be more diligent in clearing tables. It's a real pet hate and break times shouldn't be during lunch times. It's horrible to see plates and mess on tables that have been vacated and so today it let them down. I've been in twice and both times, mess on tables seems to be an issue. I hope the owners see this as constructive, as otherwise, no problem. Oh and one other thing....my flat white was fabulous. Thank you.

Firstly I'd like to say that we are reg visitors here and I've already left 5 star reviews before.However..to day we visited and ordered 2 bowls off porridge and 2 coffees..just plain BLACK coffees with milk..9.50..hmmmm..so..when the porridge arrived it was a small portion of er..porridge..no milk no little pot off cream..no offer off jam nuts and seeds..banana..honey (I could have had that at an extra 60p!!)..And no sugar. All there was on the table were lumps..so we asked for some but NONE was offered..we had to ask.i mean even Wetherspoons offers a choice off compost or honey and seeds!!.Anyway we both felt the same a bit underwhelmed so I said to mom that I was going to say something to the manager while we were there rather that leaving a neg review on trip advisor.I approached her and said"we you mind if I leave some constructive criticism "..at she said yes sure..so I explained that I thought for that price I thought it should come with something..to which she replyed"porridge is porridge...we are on the high street and we are providing you with a servive"..apparantly everyone likes it served exactly as it is..restless and bland with nothing on it???Yes I'm sure they do!!not. It was her attitude that floored me..usually I would have really stood up for myself and gave her what for back but she kind off left me dumbfounded. She said "You were offered sugar"(we weren't we had to ask)And her false smarmy attitude was disgusting. No doubt she will reply to this and deny it..well my mom was there and heard it all and I don't lie.We used to go in nearly every week but we won't bother again there are plenty off other cafes in bridgenorth..you had your chance to put it right today and you didn't so trip advisor it is!!

We asked in a Bridgnorth shop for a recommendation for a coffee break and were told about Tea and Roses in the High Street. We went along and my husband had cappuccino with soya milk while I had a fruit tea (which came in a pot). China cups and saucers and a 1970s ‘vibe’. Unfortunately the coffee curdled, but there was no problem having this replaced by a fresh cup. They have glasses and an urn of water available for customers. We saw the generous portions of home made cake that other customers were enjoying, but managed to resist! We liked the sound of their ‘smashed avocado on special toast’ and so returned for lunch a little later and enjoyed a very fresh and tasty meal. The cafe is at the back of a shop full of tasteful gifts. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Plenty on the menu, gluten free options and amazing cakes. I had a BLT, loads of tasty bacon filling. My sis had a huge piece of chocolate cake. Service very friendly and prompt delivery of food order.Only tiny let down was the tea, I was served a ‘posh’ tea bag in a teapot, but the tea was weak and colourless. On the whole a lovely lunch and would definitely visit again.Thank you Tea and Roses :-)

I have been here a few times and it’s always been ok , never great ! But today was disappointing, I had a toastie , the cheese used was tasteless and definitely the cheap grated kind , out of a big plastic bag ,for the price of the sandwich this wasn’t good ? Not even any salad apart from three of slices of cucumber and three halves of cherry tomatoes . My auntie is a vegan and there wasn’t even an obvious option ! We asked the young lad that was working , (who was really lovely to be fair ) if the vegetarian chilli was vegan and he didn’t know and went off to ask , he came back with a tin of veg chilli and gave it to us to read ourselves , found this strange that first of all it is tinned ! And not homemade and second that the staff are unaware of the food they are selling? not his fault at all but he should be informed of any vegan options as I’m sure we weren’t the only ones that would want this . The jacket potato with the veg chilli was fine but the smallest amount of that veg chilli was served . Again very expensive for what you get . We won’t be going back again A little bit of thought and care needs to go into their menu .

My children all beg me to go to this little Gem of a Tea Shop that we found several years ago, so when i have half hour and am in Bridgnorth we pop in for a treat. We are always greeted by friendly staff who go out of their way to accommodate my children, one of my boys has allergies which they help with and my little 4 year old is very indecisive as there are so many yummy homemade cakes to choose from. Last night i popped in with my mum, who is deaf and sometimes struggles to make herself understood but the lovely lady was very patient whilst she chose what she wanted. My littlest boy had a slice of chocolate cake which was bigger then his head! Needless to say he needed a take home box and it wasn't just a a paper bag or napkin but a lovely proper cardboard box which he held on his lap all of the way home. He also had a small bottle of milk which was a perfect size for him, was good to see that it came with a paper straw too rather than plastic. Mum and I had a lovely pot of tea served with beautiful mismatched cups and saucers. My other three boys are now very jealous that we went to Tea and Roses so I will no doubt be popping back in this week.

On a visit to Bridgenorth exploring the town, it was time for a coffee and a bite. We came across this wonderful little Tea Room/Cafe, tucked away at the back of a sort of craft shop, an interesting combination. Nearly missed the place which would have been a shame. The selection of home made cakes is amazing (I took a slice of one back home with me). I had a Latte coffee which was probably the best I had ever tasted and my wife had a very enjoyable pot of tea. We also had a very nice home made bacon sandwich which was again, excellent. The tea room itself was very relaxing despite being relatively busy at the time.If we are ever in town again, we shall certainly pay another visit. Listening to a number of people close by us, not surprisingly, they were very happy regulars.

Went here after a walk around Bridgnorth in the rain! we went in originally to look at the shop at the front of the tea shop and were attracted by the lovely smell. Its originally decorated with bunting, light shades, pictures and mirrors. you find a table chose from the menu then order at the counter, the cakes that were displayed looked absolutely gorgeous. My daughter ordered an Oreo thick milk shake I had tea and we had a ploughman's to share.we waiting a few minutes for the tea and milkshake with the tea arriving in a china tea pot with cup and saucer, the milk shake is served in jar and was lovely, thick and not to sweet.A few minutes later the ploughman's arrived and it was lovely, you get 2 cheeses from a choice of 4, a cheese scone, chutney, pickled onions and a tasty slice of ham. When the waitress realised we were sharing she offered to bring us extra plates and cutlery which was a nice touch. This little gem is a must to try if you are in Bridgnorth.

This is a lovely, slightly quirky shop and tea room. The shop had lots of interesting things for sale. It's good for wedding and birthday presents for instance. The little cafe serves excellent teas and coffees with a wonderful selection of cakes. The breakfast, lunch and tea menus are quite extensive and the food is individually prepared. The service is good - quick, efficient and friendly. The setting is interesting with lots of ceiling lights and wall fittings. There are individual tables - all different with a variety of chairs - and there are some comfortable looking armchairs and settees. My only slight reservation is that the cafe is rather cramped which can mean that it gets overly full when it is busy - which is most of the time since it is a popular venue. This is a consequence of the space available and the popularity of the place so nobody's fault. I recommend this shop and especially the cafe. Do try it!

Our group of 8 wandered in during an afternoon visiting this great town. One of us ordered a chocolate shake (loved it), the rest wanting a traditional afternoon tea. Our server was chatty and delightful. We ogled the cake option but decided to wait for scones. Our teas arrived in beautiful china teapots, little pots of milk and sugar and we eat had dainty floral cups and saucers. Then after a wait (they were making them fresh for us!) came the best part. A tower or two of huge fresh scones, butter, jams and, don't forget, clotted cream! Yes. This was the best experience for our American visitors who absolutely had to find out about cream teas. How many cafes bake their scones fresh? It was a very much enjoyed visit, for certain! It is located at the back of their little shop full of lovely lace table cloths, cushions, nick-nacks for the home, all very decorative and beautiful. Hidden gem in a gorgeous town!

The tea rooms are at the rear of a shop which sells a quirky assortment of gift items including vintage crockery, a particular brand of paint, greetings cards and flowers - a prime example of a multi-faceted business!Although waylaid by some of the items for sale in the shop (I was captivated by an assortment of spoons which had been engraved with uplifting words and messages), we resisted and made a beeline for the bustling tea room which I think it fair to say is bijou and compact but at the same time, delightful. There is a real fire, the table in front of it being extremely popular and an eclectic mix of tables and chairs. This is the perfect place for a light lunch or an indulgent slice of cake from the mouth watering selection on display. However, we opted for a cream tea which was served on a vintage cake stand, elevating it to something which felt quite special. Quirky, delightful and fun, Tea and Roses is a real gem and one that I can't wait to revisit. Excellent service - friendly and efficient x

We made a special journey (25 miles) to come and visit this lovely shop and especially to have lunch here. Unfortunately our lunch was very disappointing. I ordered jacket potato with carnation chicken. The potato was very brown inside and this would have been because it was cooked a previous day and then re heated, surly is it too much to ask for freshly cooked food. The salad had brown stems on the lettuce so the was obliviously not fresh either. My friend had sandwiches but it was on very thick bread which looked like doorstops! Cakes looked delicious but tasted ok. My friend commented that the cafe could do with a good clean too. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. Sorry guys , love this place that's why we make a special journey to you but please serve fresh food.

This morning we ventured in to tea and roses and what a treat! We mooched around a fantastic selection of seasonal items, gifts, home ware before heading into the tea shop for lunch. As soon as we sat down the hospitality we received was outstanding. We had some toasties, teas & a selection of fabulous cake.Hugh was fantastic in particular! His interaction with the regulars in there kept a warm & approachable aura which was a pleasure to be a part of. Another great thing to note was the fact they catered for gluten free both in toasties & in cakes.

Have been here many times for lunches and also just for drinks but realised I've never reviewed Tea and Roses before! It is set back from the shop which is at the front of the building (which is also amazing - so many quirky pieces and one offs you can buy - definitely check it out) and everything is vintage and beautifully set out.Today I opted for the smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich on brown bread and some crisps, my Dad had the BLT and my sister went for cheese on toast. I had a latte and have to admit it's the best latte I've had in town! They also are one of if not the only places in town to serve rose lemonade Fentimans which is mine and my nephews favourite drink, which is worth the visit alone!Staff here are so helpful and so friendly nothing is too much trouble, and it is definitely service with a smile. Thank you for making us feel welcome, you are all stars. One of my favourite places in town so if you are visiting for the day I would recommend visiting Tea and Roses you will not leave disappointed.

Having come into town from Arley, we wanted a tearoom to quench our thirst. We found Tea & Roses at the end of the High Street and were entranced by its quirky theme. Nothing matches but everything is carefully selected to look good and feel good. After a friendly greeting we picked our cakes from a wide selection of home-made cakes and other goodies. The sizes were massive yet prices modest. We emerged, some time later, very happy and very full! This is a rare treat and not to be missed!

We had a morning visit to Bridgnorth and whilst wondering round the shops found this lovely quirky tea shop at the back of a gift shop. It was very reasonable. It was clean and the staff were very helpful.

We have been here a few times now, mostly to pop in for a milkshake (which are fantastic and highley recomended). The staff have always been so polite, friendly and helpful and nothing has ever been to much ttouble. We popped in earlier this week for two take away milkshakes, they had a few orders already so said they may be a few minutes, this wasn't a problem as we just had a little nosey around the shop, we then said we just needed to pop to superdrug and that we would go back and grab the Milkshakes in a minute or so. The Milkshakes must have been finished just as we walked out so the one lady came and found us to make sure we had them before they melted. Customer service at its best. I would highley recomend to anyone.

Whilst visiting Bridgnorth we popped in after seeing the sign for amazing milkshakes outside. First and foremost it is a shop with vintage style items and some genuine vintage bits and bobs for sale. There was something for every budget and you can also buy Annie Sloan paint if you are into all that upcycling/shabby chic malarkey. At the back is a cafe where the magic happens. There's a range of meals on offer but we were there for the mega shakes. My husband had the retro sweeties shake which was a strawberry ice cream milkshake topped with cream, a strawberry iced and sprinkles donut and a good handful of retro sweets including flying saucers, jelly babies and rainbow drops. My son had a chocolate brownie one which you can probably imagine was chocolatey heaven and I had a banoffee mega shake. Mine was a banana milkshake with toffee sauce, cream, a banana muffin and chocolate banana chips. All were amazing and very enjoyed. Expensive at £5 a pop but practically a meal! You wouldn't need to order this alongside food.Only niggle was that they didn't take cards when we visited and we had to pop out and get cash to be able to order - this may have been a technical hitch, rather than their standard - I don't know. Also took a little while to get our order but it was lunchtime and very busy. It's a popular place and if you are visiting I would definitely recommend a browse around their shop and a treat at the cafe.

Everything about this place makes you want to stay longer - the ambiance, the cakes and the milkshakes that are out of this world! Not normally a milkshake person, I decided to give it a go when I saw 2 people having the ultimate chocolate milkshake complete with cream, ice-cream, chocolate brownie and smarties. A drink and pudding all in one, it was fabulous! Staff really friendly and helpful, great place.

I like Tea and Roses but they need to try a little harder. Great surroundings, interesting cakes and decent service but they need to decide if they want to be excellent or not. I'll go there again but I'd like to see it distinguish itself.

Found this nice little coffee shop whilst exploring Bridgnorth and was pleasantly surprised. The decor was very quaint and there was plenty of seating available at the time. The cakes in the fridge looked great and offered various options. The service was friendly throughout. We opted for the poppy seed and strawberry cake which was divine and refreshening and the caramel latte which was nice but just didn't compare to the strawberry cake. We also tried the mega milkshakes - with these they did take a little while to come to the table but they certainly have the wow factor. They were tasty and are a great price with the salted caramel actually being salty - hoorah !! However once through the cake and cream and sweets the milkshake was rather thin ( not like described) and there was very much an icy texture (maybe cheap ice cream) overall very nice , but very fattening, trip out and will be returning for that poppy seed cake.

Pretty little venue, little being the word, space is at a premium. Love the decor and quirky nature of the place. The young man serving was busy but perfectly mannered and so friendly and smiley.Wonderful choice of cakes, very reasonably priced and great big pieces served...all around 2.50 a slice, very good value.I had a large hunk of beautifully textured Victoria Sponge. Really excellent.Would love to return again and would recommend this place thoroughly.(Toilet a little basic, but at least there is one ;-) ).

It's a good while since we've been to Tea and Roses and, like last time, the friendly service and great tea and cake are the real highlights here. It's at the back of a shop selling cards and gifts and you may miss the fact it's a cafe but persist! It's worth it. The furniture and decor is shabby chic but could be a bit more chic than shabby if we're being honest. The tea was hot and plentiful, the china nice, the decor quirky and the service friendly and fast. The cake was truly excellent and the scones the neighbouring table had looked delicious. But....it's a bit messy, the tables needed a good clean and faster emptying of used plates. It looks like closing for a couple of days for a damned good spring clean would make a 100% improvement to the overall effect and experience. If I could give a 3.5 Good I would. Much better than average but more attention to detail would really elevate it.

This is a little cafe where you can get a hot drink and a simple, but well prepared meal, like a toasty or jacket potato. It is comfortable and snug so I sometimes take my son in for a treat if it's raining when we're shopping. Very nice staff.

Called in here for lunch today and cannot believe how much this lovely tea shop has declined. We found a table for four (which had the remains of the previous diners still on the table due to being busy), we didn't mind this as we had chosen that table , however the remainder of the visit was awful. I ordered a ham sandwich for the children, specifying 'just ham please' on ordering, as the menu States ham and mustard. When it came , after a twenty five minute wait along with two more sandwiches, there was no butter on the sandwich!! Because we had said 'just ham'. Very strange!! I'm not sure who would interpret that as meaning without butter and if in doubt maybe should be clarified? The place had many flies buzzing around and when we politely asked why the sandwich had no butter, the staffs attitude was not good, just offering to make another sandwich which we did not have time to wait for really or to eat given the slow service! This was then compounded by my niece putting her elbow in a large blob of jam that was on the table from the last diners. I don't usually mind paying over the odds in a nice tea shop but I felt the cost was not at all justified today And sadly will not be going back.

If I was reviewing this place based solely on cake / sandwiches i would rate it 5 star . I have been many times and loved it , however in April I booked with my friend on a Friday afternoon for afternoon Tea for 2 which cost us £16.99 each which one had to be paid in advance , which we didn't mind . We were expecting a high standard as usual but were left extremely disappointed and I would not recommend the afternoon tea here at all .It consisted of the tiniest finger sandwiches I have ever had ( fillings were tasty) . That's all. THe cake selection was very disappointing in comparison to the lovely selection they have . The decoration on the stand was cucumber slices and halves of cherry tomatoes . We have had many afternoon teas in good and bad places . all I can say is that your afternoon tea is extremely overpriced for what you serve. it was worth no more than £9.99 . definately have not recommended to friends .Feeling disappointed

As stated in a previous revue tea for two was a pot of hot - not boiling water and two tea bags. Too much water to make two cups of tea so asked for another tea bag and told that would be another 50p!!! Cups and saucers were pretty but teapot had a chipped and dirty spout. Left without drinking the tepid weak as water brew. Really no excuse - if you run a tea shop you should be able to make a cup of tea. Do not recommend and would advise avoid and try one of the other venues in the town.

It's called Tea & Roses so why can't they make a proper cup of tea? How hard can it be? You have to go up to the counter to order, not a problem. But when it arrived the 'tea' was simply a teapot of hot water with one wrapped teabag waiting on the saucer for me to immerse myself. How lazy is that? There was far too much water for that lonely tea bag, and of course the water wasn't hot enough to extract an ounce of flavour out of it. Don't get me wrong - I actually like my tea on the weak side. But it just didn't work at all, even when I moved the bag to the tea cup to try to concentrate it. So only one cup of vaguely drinkable liquid was possible. Poor value indeed. I can't remember what I paid but it was too much. I'd arranged to meet an old friend here for afternoon tea, on arrival almost every table was occupied so it is certainly popular. My friend and I chatted away for ages, having not seen each other for many years. Did the waitress come over to ask if everything was okay, would we like anything? By now the cafe had become quieter, so 'too busy' was no excuse. No, she totally ignored us - and the seating area is small, only a few steps from the counter to our table - so my overall impression was one of couldn't care less. The shop element of this establishment is fine, good for them, Bridgnorth needs interesting shops like this. But my advice is if all that spending has made you thirsty, head straight for the door.

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far
