The best restaurants in West Midlands

Very disappointed that a vegetarian option wasn’t included alongside the Sunday roast. My family had a traditional roast and I would have liked all the veg and yorkshires with an alternative to meat. There was nothing much else to choose from. The roast was a disappointment too. Meat portions were stingy and the yorkshires were overdone making them dry and crumbly. Will not be returning.

One of the best places to eat in Shropshire, food always excellent, surrounding countryside just adds to the ambience of this beautiful place. I've been going there for twenty years and it's always excellent, the only place I would recommend 👌

A must visit for any vegan or vegetarian in Birmingham! This was one of the best Indian meals I have ever had and it was amazing to try some of the classic dishes veganised! I enjoyed this restaurant so much and the staff were very attentive! I can’t believe it wasn’t fully booked when I visited because the food was so good! I will definitely go back if I am ever in the area!

Such a lovely welcome today from Nat who was very attentive and friendly throughout our meal ordering and service experience. Our Party of four was also made very welcome by the female staff member behind the bar. The food was nicely prepared and of good quality. It is so nice to find a good chef who knows how to prepare and present enjoyable "hot" food The pub's decor is extremely pleasant and clean, the toilets were excellent. I would definitely recommend The Bell if you like a bit of quality and a good atmosphere.

Popped in early Sunday Evening for the first time, post, Comedy Show at the Town Hall. I read the reviews, some iffy, most glowing, so thought it best to make our own minds up! Very pleased we made it too, we trebled the attendees (3 of us, it was early!) and the Staff were very attentive. Not wishing to go mad, we perused the extensive menu, and made our selection. Papads & Chutney Tray to get us going, followed by, Mixed Kebab & Lamb Chops to start, main (only one) Balburchi Wala, Chapati's, Garlic Naan and a side of Dhal, washed down with a few bottles of Heineken 0 (you can bring your own booze, bonus!) Everything a triumph, well done! Albeit, I like my chops a tad more cooked, and the Naan was not the biggest (but very tasty) the BW main, wow! Well worth the try and brilliant with Chapati's. Dhal, yummy!! We left, wanting for more (good thing) and the desire to return ASAP, and, must mention, Mohammed, and the elder waiter (boss maybe?) we really enjoyed your waiting skills, see you soon!... There may have been only 3 of us in there for a good while, slowly they came, but, don't let that put any one off, it was early and the takeaway food going out was at regular intervals, so, they must be doing something right!!

Only popped in for a coffee, but it was lovely and the service was quick and friendly. Chilled and comfortable atmosphere, I would definitely go back either socially, or a change from working from home!!

Visiting Shrewsbury and found this little gem . Catered for my Coeliac husband easily . It was so good we repeated the experience the next day .

Waited over 2 hours for delivery called them up after 1 hour 40 minutes and said we don't want it if its going to be more than another 20 minutes. It was! So assumed it wasn't coming, when delivery driver got here 2 hours 10 minutes I told the driver we didn't want it and I'm not paying for it. Get basically yelled at telling me I should of phoned and not to bother ordering next time I said I won't don't worry to then the drivers reply was F*CK OFF!! Infront of children. Appalling and a shame really because the food was good from past experiences. Turns out the person who delivered it was a main person within the business.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly efficient staff. Lovely food and good choice of food and drinks available. Would definitely recommend to eat here.

Fantastic tapas. Chef was more than happy to discuss the ingredients as we are interested in cooking. Great atmosphere- can highly recommend this restaurant.

Best place in Shrewsbury, amazing selection and reasonable prices.

Have not been here for a couple of years.. i went today and got brown stewed chicken portion of hake and sexy juice and my partner had callaloo and okra.. and i just said to him i need to leave a review portion size has improved loads and the taste is 10/10! Really enjoy my meal… only downfall my partner asked for white rice and got rice an peas😕.. but other than that can’t fault it!
