Absolutely fantastic. Small and personal. All home cooked. We had a takeaway this time, but im booking a table to take my family. We had a wide range off the menu, so i do feel in position to recommend. Big and fancy no, personal and cosy, yes. More to the point..... the food is ace

One of the worst takeaways to date. Absolutely gutted. After reading the reviews we thought there would be no issues. Here visiting for a few days and last min delivery order. The nan breads were horrendous…congealed mess stuffed into small foil bags. I’ve never seen such weight of a nan bread in one small bag. Such a shame we didn’t even want to eat them. The tandoori mixed grill was something from my local fish and chip shop not an Indian restaurant. Just be careful for takeaway as I’m sure eating in wouldn’t be as bad…but I’m just giving a heads up as 90% of my order is in the bin. Gutted

Absolutely amazing, very friendly staff definitely a family vibe, very quick service . Food was great I had a hotdog and chips amazing food no complaints at all. My mum is gluten free they had a wide gluten free variety (she had fish and chips) and the food was just as good as the regular! Batter gold me crispy, honestly amazing!

Wooden hut style building. Full English breakfast cost £7.00. Serve yourself hot drink. Friendly staff.

Nipped in for a breakfast the other day - it’s not very often I enjoy a breakfast, but this was bang on 👌 gluten free breakfast too. They also do GF cake, and can pay by card. Will definitely return. Thank you

Stayed locally after a visit to Alton Towers and tried here for dinner. Staff were helpful polite and welcoming. Chose to ate in 'The Lodge', 2 adults and 2 kids. Pizza's and garlic bread were delicious, children catered for really well and the pub dog was lovely! Great atmosphere and would definitely return. A great hidden gem!

The wheatsheaf was really nice we found it extremely cosy and clean. The service was great and very prompt the staff were also extremely polite and helpful. The menu was obviously the usual Wetherspoons food but the setting and staff made our visit better than other Wetherspoons we visited in the past. I also like how they have plenty of local history on display explaining famous local places or people.

A charming and cozy little pub that feels refreshingly different from the typical Greene King franchise. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, engaging in delightful conversation that added a personal touch to our visit. The food was excellent – we tried the sharing platters and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and great value. The pub’s Christmas decorations were beautifully done, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. This is easily one of the best Greene King locations we’ve visited locally, and we’ll definitely be returning!
