Top quality curry and big Nan breads with really good pricing for what your getting would highly recommend you go there if you like curry. Parking outside to (not a actual carpark)

Always the warmest of welcomes from Zulfi and his team, not licensed so you take your own alcohol, bargain booze next door. Serve soft drinks though. Plenty of food tbh, naan bread are massive, rice more than enough for 2 and all curry's have plenty of meat unless vegetarian obvs lol. They do chips etc for kids if needed.

Our favourite Indian restaurant in the area, we always do a takeout order when we're nearby. Still working our way through the menu, but the peshawari naan is a perennial favourite. Large portions and great value, highly recommended.

What a place....... one of the best if not the best curry I have ever had. And the family-sized naan was fantastic and so tasty. All the staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful and took time with us to make sure we were happy. thank you so much for a fantastic meal and experience. Oh dear! I’ve eaten Indian and Bangladeshi food from around the world. Im not sure what I received as my takeout, but it was not Korma and Not Chicken Tika Masala. No spices! Just sugar and food coloring. Tasteless. The Bhaji was soggy canned vegetables. I so wanted this to be good, but really it was inedible.

This is a very nice place to visit! Food was good, bring your own drinks here aswell, the naan breads are amazing, staff extremely friendly.

Wow!! What a fantastic experience. This is my first visit to the restaurant and the customer service was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced! The staff there remember my partner and his family and they hadn’t been in years, showing the care and attentiveness they have. The staff were so so friendly and I could not recommend this place more. The food was fabulous and very quick service, and affordable!! If you get the chance please visit this place 😀

The staff were super friendly and spiced the meal up for my partner who is Asian heritage. The food was fantastic! The restaurant was full due to the excellent food and friendly staff. They were so welcoming and accommodating to our group.

Paid an impromtu visit one evening. The staff were great; welcoming and friendly. Sadly the food was extremely disappointing. The curry looked good, with plently of ingredients but somehow managed to taste incredibly bland almost as if it had been watered down or not enough spices used. Other diners in our group commented the same. Also all curry dishes which we ordered were an artificial red colour. Similarly we noticed that adjacent diners ordered different currys featuring the same red colour. I imagined they have a huge vat of base curry to which the chefs simply add extra spices to...or not in the case of our visit!

Brilliant family run restaurant. Stayed late to fit me and 5 mates in and food was unbelievable. Very friendly staff and one of the best Indian’s I’ve had. Superb

Returned here after 5 years since last visit. The food was as good as we remembered. Excellent starters. Curry’s were outstanding. The best Nann bread we’ve had. Got a takeaway tonight and it was amazing. Restaurant looked nice if you planned to sit in. Very tasty and reasonably priced. The Rogan Josh was especially good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just visiting on holiday so sadly will be my only visit otherwise it would become my regular.

I happen to have just found this place why I was out on the motorbike and so glad we did was welcomed in by the boss very friendly geezer food was spot on very hot massive nan bread korma was spot on and I eat at lot of Indian restaurants near my self and to be fair the korma was one of the best iv had next time me and misses am local to this place will be going again don't let couple bad reviews wreck going try your self first can't allways please every one but we really enjoyed it and we are hard to please ps from the hayabusa rider 👊cannock

Ordered for collection, service over the phone and in person was great, order taken effeciently and food was fresh and ready for pick up. Sets a bar for a curry house in the smaller elements that make up the meal, large soft naan, lamb samosas that were crisp and flavourful with poppadoms accompanied by chutneys. However the main attraction, a lamb balti with rice, didn't have the strength of flavour to make this a standout. A sauce that lacked depth meant that the main became a bit monotonous, shovelling the last remaining grains of rice down to wrap up by the end. Not necessarily dissapointing, but this undermined what the Mughal did well. An option if you fancy a curry, but if you have a curry house that you're loyal to it may not be worth straying.

Rang today a Friday at 9.30 for a take away was told kitchen shuts at 9.30 i said on menu it says 10.30 on Friday the rude guy on other end of phone with a attitude problem says check menu its 9.30 puts the phone down never ordered from here before thought give a local place a try wont bother in future. Ended up trying these 10 months later well wont bother in future had take away Currys tasteless and watery the starters were barley warm. Ive defo given up with this place ill go else where

Eat on Sunday 6th of November, very quiet due to bonfire night but Safi and the team were great, excellent food great company, can't fault it 🙂

The staff here are the highlight, so friendly, they catered to our every needs and even gave advice on our food orders. The food was so very good, I ordered a chicken tikka dupiaza and the chicken was perfect, the sauce was great, the potions are huge also. I did think the vegetables weren't cooked very long but that's a minor quibble.

Very friendly,helpful staff and the food I had was very good. I always enjoy my visits here. Nice to be able to order lassi. I don't think that they have an alcohol license you can bring your own if you like. Located on the high Street so parking is limited , the closest parking is the town centre and it is free after 3.30 in the afternoon.

After a full on day at alton towers we fancied eating somewhere local. This restaurant was absolutely amazing food was on another level! Staff were honest and advised portions were a good size and enough to share! I mean the naan was out of this world 🌎 and huge! Shame we live 3 hours but we know where to go every time we go to alton towers!

Such a beautiful night. 11 members of my family came to Mughal to celebrate my late brother’s birthday. Staff were so attentive, nothing was too much to ask for and the food was exquisite. Thank you 100% recommend.

Lamb was tough, curry was tasteless, completely bland and sauce was watery. Couldn't differentiate between the two Nan breads. The rice was OK.

Came from Manchester, to alton towers found this hidden gem on the way back. 100/10, food was absolutely delicious, really good portions compared to alot of indians i have been to all over the uk. Staff super friendly made you feel very welcome and comfortable. Owner was a top notch guy. Very nice and talkative. 👌👌

Staff were really friendly, and accomodating. Ismail particularly. They went out of their way to make food authetically, to suit our taste and couldnt do enough for us. Chef even made veg dishes that arent on menu, and catered to allergies. Food was really tasty, went for partners bday, who gave it 10/10. Really impressed as veggie food isnt always tasty when eating out...but was here. Thank you all. Suggetsion...indian dessert menu would be good 😊

I placed an order for delivery and the person I talked to on the phone (Issy) was really lovely and helpful in answering my questions to assure that what I ordered was plant based. It was a Saturday so I understand that it may have been busy, but the delivery was over 30 minutes late. I asked for a curry with a coconut milk base and got nothing of the sort, but it was still good. The Peshwari naan was nothing like what I've had in the past and was inedible, tasting artificial. Overall everything was ok, but I will be sure to order something different in the future.

First ever time ordered a set meal for collection. Upon checking at home both starters were missing. Rang them and they delivered them within 20 mins with no hassle. Upon further checking afterwards the rice was also missing. Maybe if I checked before they would have rectified this also but the items should not be forgotten in the first place. There are only 6 items in the set meal and 3 were missing. Not sure how that happens. Also the chicken in the korma wasn’t the best and was a bit dry. Other than that they seemed like nice gents and friendly enough but won’t be going again.

Rang for a table 20minutes before we turned up. We are staying at alton towers. The chap was pleasant and happily told us it would be fine to come. (Parking in the local carpark is free after 3.30pm) We were greeted on arrival, high chair was set up ready to go. Food was swiftly delivered to our table once we placed our order. Plenty of options on offer. (Family naan is no joke its huge and delicious) My missus ordered a curry (rogan josh with paneer) which isnt on the menu and they were more than happy to make it happen for her. Overall the food was great, and you'd get no complaints from me or the missus. I would say to people that arent local - they dont have an alcohol licence but are happy for you to bring your own. We both dont drink so it wasnt so much of a problem for us. they seemed to be happy for you to bring your own soft drinks which i thought was a great idea although we didnt bring our own. Thanks for a great meal.

I was actually impressed with the quality of food I received. The meat was curry was 11/10. The restaurant was clean and staffs were very polite and welcome. I had takeaway meal deal for 2 people for £22. I will be back again when I’m local.

Went to the Mughal restaurant last Saturday for the first time and was very impressed. The food was tasty, service was quick and the overall customer service was really friendly and welcoming. The restaurant isn't licenced but there is a Bargain Booze a few doors down so it's all good! Will definitely return. Edit: Naan bread was huge!

Lively restaurant, very busy which has to be a good sign in my book. Food was amazing - arrived quickly & the nan was massive. Service was good even though restaurant was busy. Would return if we were local to this area. BYO alcoholic drinks so very reasonably priced too.

After long day at the rosort, we wanted proper meal and had to be halal, ordered our food for take away , was the right choice, food was amazing, perfect spice, tasty and very good portion, we all really enjoyed the food kids were really happy, thank you chef and the person who took our order very polite and helpful and honest. After reading many reviews I was quite keen to try out this restaurant. Customer service was somewhat slow. Had to keep calling waiter for our drinks and take our order. Staff were polite but need to provide faster service. Also I’m not even that old and the waiter called me an aunty 😂 just because I was surrounded by my niece and nephews assuming they were all my kids. He himself was mid 20’s so should consider this beforehand. Some get very offended. Lucky for him I’m a happy go lucky person. We had a long tiring day out at Alton towers water park so wanted some cozy restaurant with good food. The food was average and portion size was decent. However I didn’t like the presentation. Also I prefer my cold drinks in the can and not poured straight into the glass from a bottle. There were around. 12 of us and we managed to get a table in good time. The biryani was very disappointing as it had so many raw onions and very strong garlic / ginger taste. Some of the menu items were not available like fish and chips so we were quite disappointed as kids wanted that. Price was quite reasonable so can’t really complain there. Quite lovely atmosphere & Customers at the restaurant were very friendly. Restaurant wasn’t as big as I assumed but it was big enough to cater for all of us. Wouldn’t really go again. I enjoyed dominos pizza more the following day between all of us for 1/3 of the price.

Really good food, proper authentic taste, we loved it and we highly recommend this restaurant if you up for some proper curry, on top of it we received really amazing service, restaurant staff tried their level best to fulfill our needs. We will definitely going there again.

Best Curry in years, Was so friendly & welcolming

Just had our first takeaway from here, omg was not disappointed generous portion sizes, spiced to our taste, great service and fast delivery.

Another visit to this local restaurant and another lovely meal. I tried the Dahl murgh, a chicken and lentil curry which was delicious. The others had lamb tikka bhuna, chicken tikka bhuna and lamb pathia. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent as usual. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the prices are very reasonable.

Always a pleasure to eat here. The staff are wonderful and the food is outstanding. Very good value for money.

On the phone we been said the kitchen is closing at 22:00 (10pm) Wrong hours on the menu (Friday and Saturday 5:00 pm till 11:30 pm) but the last order is 11:00 am? When we called was 22:10 that means 10:10 PM On Google Is closing at 11:30 pm. UPDATE YOUR STUFF, TOTALY GUTTED, how can Cheadle survive?

Called in with my family whilst visiting the area. Used to live here 7 years ago and used the Mughal a lot. Meals, owners and staff were still lovely. What a nice change to go back yo a place and it's just as you remembered it. Thanks.

Very friendly great service and good food

We popped to Mughal after being highly recommend by our Air BnB host. We were not disappointed, friendly staff that took us through the menu and gave us some recommendations, Food came quick and it was absolutely delicious. The Naan breads are HUGE, and most of the table struggled to finish one to themselve. It's also BYOB and there is a shop next door if you want to pick up a couple of beers. We will 100% be back again on our next visit to the peak District

Excellent find. Came to Alton Towers on a Friday and we found this place in the evening. The family & staff are extremely friendly and the food is amazing!! Be warned about the naan breads - they are huge!!!! Call to book, it’s deservedly extremely busy. No alcohol is served but can bring your own (can also bring your own soft drinks). Great value as well.

Awful. Undercooked n waste of money

We have only just moved to the area and decided to try this restaurant, in the current situation we had to have our food either delivered or collected. When I rang through the order I was answered by a young man that was ever so polite and made sure that I was catered for. I was not disappointed by this food as it was so delicious. The best Indian I have had in a very long time. The king prawn butterfly was outstanding lived up to my expectations from when I was 16. Such friendly staff and out of this world food thank you will deffinalty be eating here again hopefully in the restaurant next time. Mrs Taylor x

We drove 25 miles there for a Valentines date. This family run restaurant is a perfect example of customer service, backed up by amazing tasting food. Massive portions for the prices too. We felt welcomed and had a good laugh with them. Lovely atmosphere too. Will visit again one day! Well recommended.
