Shocking, first we had booked for 7 adults for a birthday. The table was barely big enough for six. Orders for drinks, only one med glass of pino... that was the ONLY white wine they had on the premises but they did manage to squeeze a large red wine from somewhere...and that was the end of the red as well. I could go on and on but have better things to do. Suffice to say, the food ranged from awful to mediocre and the whole experience was ghastly. To add insult to injury they didn't even wish the birthday girl a happy birthday 😕😕🥴

Charlotte was geat behind the bar. Ebonie was a brilliant serving our food. Great local for beers and food...m9st staff at great

I was served by a lovley young girl.her name was Ebony.she was very polite and had a lovley smile.i was made to feel like nothing was a problem to her.and every 1 was really welcoming.oliver the manager was very welcoming.xx

Lovely friendly place, and staff were lovely too. Went for a 1 off but ate there the 5 nights we had in Alton. Great fresh food and great menu and prices were good too.

✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ July 2024 Positive update. See end of Review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple of us went to this pub for a meal at lunch time today . I decided to download the app and order a drink to see how fast it would actually come, because I couldn’t see anyone on the bar . Anyway nothing arrived and to be fair I was the first in ordering . So I nipped up and waited and I saw what looked like the lady in charge and she apologised. She was a very pleasant lady. The other server was nattering away round the corner. Anyway I got my drink and sat down . We decided to order two meals. An ultimate combo and a medley of burgers meal with chips. Six burger in total. Unfortunately. My burgers were hit and miss. I ate two. The southern fried chicken was lovely and the cheese burger one was ok but the others were barely warm. I did mention it to a young lady who mentioned it to who was on the bar but nothing could be done apparently. The other meal looked over cooked. The thing is mine looked like it was warmed up meat but apparently it was cooked fresh? Anyway I’m always honest on here and considering we went six months ago to the same pub and the food was ace somethings gone wrong here. Very disappointed and the last time I’ll go there. Shame as I used this pub for many years. And it was fine then . Steak would have had more stars but it was very chewy, it was cooked medium as ordered so all in all not bad, the steak needed hammering more to make it tender. Staff were very good

Great service when me and a few friends went for food, the bar man Harrison did a brilliant job serving us. Food was brilliant, compliments to the chefs who i told were Wes and Carol and compliments to brilliant service from Macey and Morgan.

We had a fantastic experience when we walked into the pub. Charlotte, our server, greeted us warmly and promptly took our drink orders. She was incredibly polite and made sure that all our needs were met. We were impressed with her attentive and friendly service. Whilst having our drinks, we decided to order food. Charlotte was quick to take our order and even opened a tab for us. The food arrived promptly and exceeded our expectations. It was served piping hot and tasted incredibly fresh. We were thoroughly satisfied with our meals. Throughout our time at the pub, we couldn't help but notice how friendly and helpful all the staff members were. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. We highly recommend the staff at this pub for their excellent service. In particular, we would like to give a special shoutout to Charlotte for her exceptional service. She was not only friendly but also went out of her way to make our visit memorable. We would highly recommend her as a server. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Master Potter. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was top-notch. We would like to thank everyone involved for making our experience so enjoyable.

Food was excellent on the Friday night (busiest night). Was served promptly, food was delicious and hot. Saturday night was disappointing. Items missing from the meal, service extremely slow, food not overly hot and left a lot of improvement. Chalking it up to a bad night. Decor could definitely be redone, felt really outdated.

Got blueline discount so reasonable prices with discount. Everyone enjoyed the food. Picture is sweet nachos, which I have not had before.

Meals priced for the family, a decent meal each time we call. For the money I think you will be pleased. Friendly staff large spacious pub. Refurbished toilets are much better. Small outdoor play area for the kids. Outside seating I enjoy each visit.

Good atmosphere especially when the football is on. I was served by a lovely waitress called poppy and the food was brilliant.

This is the best local pub you will visit in the area.. Olly and Tracey and all the team have turned this pub around with old and new customers now returning. It is a pleasure to now come out to this pub. Olly is second to none as a manager and is well supported by his partner Tracey who is now working in the pub. steak was very grizzly, wasn’t able to cut not worth the money at all the chicken goujons didn’t have enough sauce at all, was very dry would NOT buy again.

After a pleasant stroll, we decided to grab a bite at this pub. The pub grub was good, with prices that didn't break the bank. The desserts hit the spot perfectly, satisfying my sweet tooth cravings. And of course, I couldn't resist indulging in a pint or two of Guinness. However, it seemed that the local school kids favored the toilets here, which resulted in a frustrating experience of finding them blocked after their use. Fortunately, the staff promptly directed me to an alternative restroom, alleviating the inconvenience. Overall, a satisfactory stop, left with a full belly.

Nice reasonably priced food . I was a bit gutted that they didn't have fish fingers left but hey ho. Its an all round nice place with lovely staff. It also has a nice play area for the kids with indoor seating really close where you can keep an eye on them .

Food somewhat spoiled by being left under the warming lamps to long, the 12oz steak I ordered was dry but just about edible.

Starters luke warm. Steak asked for it to be well done but not cremated. Came cremated. Tables weren't cleared. Quite an untidy place. Wouldn't dine here again.

The use of the word "abundance " was thrown about willy nilly, I would suggest 4 tiny scampies is not classed as an abundance, the definition of the word abundance according to the Oxford dictionary is, and I qoute " a very large quantity of something" obviously misconstrued at this establishment

We went to the pub last night to see a tribute act and he was very good so well done to him. The pub let itself down badly as the toilets were absolutely disgusting. The issue with the dirty toilets was related to the manager,...

Megan was lovely and accommodating. Food was cooked well, but the ingredients supplied to the chef are not the most desired. Chef did well. Very quiet with nothing really going on. Could be time off day and day off the week

It's a Hungry Horse, good food, great portions with great value. On the night that we were there, at no fault of the restaurant I may add; kids were running around like Tasmanian devils, very difficult to enjoy a family dinner with objects being thrown and wrestling matches at the end of the table! Well done to the blonde staff member that put them in their place, the parents sure didn't!
