We went at Lunch time the food and service was amazing ,the staff.who are students of the school were so.polit ,made you feel so welcome it was a pleasure to see so many happy young people enjoying there workplace and learning all about food and how to cook and serve it ,There is a selection of alcohol all delivered too your table .The price was amazing to .

10/10 underrated best Greg’s I’ve ever been to I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a well done lunch like I said before chefs kiss

Very busy on our visit but service still very good. Great selection of real ales.

Our visit to Toby Carvery was amazing, our waitresses name was Katie B, her service was amazing she asked for puds but she told us there was ‘No Ice Cream’ but explained that she could sort our child a kids brownie and custard. This put a big smile on his face, she is a real credit to your team, as she seemed to be running drinks and making them on the bar too. There was also two other people working but didn’t get there names.

We are very impressed with the Sunday dinners here! The meat portion was generous - I had a bit of everything - beef, chicken and gammon. All of it was tender and lean. The Yorkie pud and roasties tasted homemade and were great. The mash was nice and the other veg were nicely cooked (not turned to mush) and plentiful. We paid £2 extra for cauliflower cheese to share and that was good too. Everything was perfect, except the peas needed to be cooked with a bit more salt, but that's a very minor fault. Also must mention the gravy which tasted superb. My partner who is vegetarian had the nut roast and enjoyed her meal, but didn't have room for it all. We will be back for more Sunday dinners here as it is one of the best meals we have had recently in the whole of Stoke and reasonably priced too! You literally get a whole plateful of food to eat as portions of meat and veg are generous! Big eaters will love it! The service is also good and the wait for food only around 15 to 20 minutes for us. The pub restaurant was busy with diners when we were there, particularly so after we finished our lunch around 2.30pm. I would strongly recommend the food here and would also suggest booking in busy periods

This used to be a fantastic pub with good food, it needs a refurbishment, no longer does food and is overpriced.

Beer fetival --BEWARE -- 6 pints at £22 --great but its not --read the small print -- you have an option re your glass and as in most beer fests u rent your glass against breakage & get a refund -- WRONG -- u pay £3 for the glass -- no refund so your £22 is in fact £25. Staff totally unnapologetic on this -- a simple rip off & leaves a nasty taste to completely spoil the experience . Been going in the pub since the girls took it on and enjoyed many good beers but with the rip off think that was my last visit -- very very bad profiteering . Think I may not be alone in being disgusted about this tactic

Wow what a great place. Food was the best I have eaten for ages. I have just been released from a Secure Mental Health Unit and was blessed to have found this place. I was so excited and emotional I shed a tear

Cheap beer 🍺 what's not to like?

Used the chippy for many years and it's always been decent enough and cheap in comparison to others. But when you've got a battered fish darker than the sausage because it's been massively overcooked, trying to cut through the cardboard like batter....you know you're in for a bad one! Very disappointed that the chef thought it would be ok to serve and send me that. Won't be going again. What a waste of money.

Had a takeaway for the first time from here. It was delicious. The food was hot & tasty .Will be going to dine in next time. Thank you. 💕

Had food from here quite a few times now and we've never been disappointed. Food lovely and hot, delivery was quick. Will be using again.

Absolutely vile he a simple cheese oatcake they must of warmed the oatcake up and the cheese up separately and then put the cheese on horrible cheap cheese no take and chewy with a soggy oat cake definitely done in the microwave wave disgusting avoid like the plague

Possibly the worst Toby I've been in. No staff, very slow service and poor quality food.

I would like to state that I do not like complaining as I work in the hospitality industry, however the food I ordered tonight was disgusting! The satay chicken skewers came in the satay sauce which was bland and extremely watery, we also ordered the chicken chow mein which had no favour and was extremely unpleasant, we also ordered the prawn toast which wasn’t cooked properly, it was mushy inside and cold. The only thing that was half decent was the spring rolls. We never have a problem with waiting times as I understand the stress of a business through the busy hours however we told the food would be delivered between 7:15-7:35 which we had ordered at 6, we didn’t get our food at 8 Which did not help our experience. I began to talk to the staff and explain to them my problems which they offered to give us a free side when we ordered again, the meal was £35 and I am not happy, I just hope you think before ordering before it makes you ill. My husband has been working away meaning we don’t spend a lot of time together and now he’s very ill, Thankyou for listening
