These guys rang me pretending to be my phone provider, when I asked who I was with they hung up. Avoid this place it's a front for phone scams. I have reported it to the police. Have fun guys ✌️

Ripped us off. We’re loyal customers and really enjoy the food. The delivery driver charged us £20 too much but we didnt realise until we’d handed the cash over. We rang up and explained and the man said he would drop the £20 off for us at the end of his shift. We waited 1 week (kept ringing him and he’d tell us the same thing). We ended up going in and getting it off them. Also, they forgot to include the sauces with the poppadums - even though we’ve paid for them. That has happened twice now! Just seems like they dont value the LOYAL customer. We wont go back.

First time ordering from here and I can say it won’t be the last. food very tasty piping hot and delivered on time.

We have lived in butt Lane since 2010 and this is by a country mile the nicest curry you'll fine anywhere near. My wife is mega fussy with food as well and she hasn't never once complained. 5 stars +

Good food be very aware of the scamming driver who delivers your food will always say you have short chained him ruined my experience never going back phoned up but didn't care enjoy your food elsewhere or pay online

Well first time ordering from these guys was abit nervous with some of the feedback but glad I did the prawn cocktail had plenty of prawns in and normally have a korma but thought try a tika malsala and glad I did will be ordering again only down side had to wait a hour for delivery but definitely worth the wait

Totally tried to rip us off as there was a large family group of 18memers eating. We pre booked requiring 4 highchairs, which we were told wasn't a problem days before. After arriving and waiting nearly 30minutes, we were then told they only have 1. Having known beforehand, we could have brought our own. We pre ordered the food a day or so in advance. Food was missed, asked multiple times for it, never came, but charged for it. Drinks were ridiculous. A child's squash was charged at £2.50 even though it was only 50p for the same amount of cordial in soda! So, a squash was more than a lemonade. I've been here to dine out on numerous occasions previously, as well as ordering delivery. The quality on the last couple has unfortunately been poor. May need to consider an alternative place.

Was recommended to try this place. Sorry we bothered. Arrived 45mins late after 2 phone calls and the delivery driver got lost even using a sat nav. The food tasted nothing like the dishes we ordered. We’ve been eating Indian Food for over 30 years. The tikka masala was nothing like it should be and neither was the madras. The onion Bahai’s were hard and tasted awful. Overall will never order from there again, complete waste of almost £30!

Bit of a hidden gem. Yes the place could use a lick of paint and you might find it a little quiet in there but the food is genuinely excellent. Each person in our six person party ordered something different and everyone was delighted with what they got. Easily up there as one of the best curry houses in the area when it comes to what's most important - what comes out of the kitchen.

Nice curry except my poppadoms have just come without any salad or sauces, last time the sauces came without poppadoms but other than that nice curry

First time ordering online, very nice menu easy to navigate. Price is very good. Delivery brilliant. The food was lovely, very rich in flavour, juicy chicken, lovely rice and the vegetable samosa tasted amazing!! Not soggy at all, perfectly crisp with soft full filling!! No flavours overpowered and the sauce was perfect! No artificial colour. Will definitely order again, maybe even visit for a sit down meal. Thankyou

Popped in tonight for the take away as normally get delivery. Never let me down yet, and asked for something different tonight based on my 'usual'. The food is absolutely lovely and not had a bad curry yet from this restaurant. Highly recommend 👌 A++++

We always use masoom massala for Indian food. It has always been top quality, tasty and delivered when promised. We wouldn't use anywhere else. 5 star.

I always consider the taste but also the chicken and quality of meat. It was very good tonight and worthy of another takeaway. Chicken, white and tender and sauce very tasty. Madras was ideal, Rogan Josh, the best I have tasted for a long long time (wife’s meal). Mushroom pilau rice & Garlic Nan gave us the great accompaniments. Great job.

Absolutely lovely food and staff. As I suffer from high cholesterol I asked for reduced salt and they was happy to accommodate all my dietary needs. I have lived all round the UK in 50 years and this is undoubtedly the best curry house I have come across exceptional food and great value for money. A well deserved 5star

placed an order at 6:15, took 2 calls and restaurant assuring me order was out for delivery and would be with me in 15 minutes, 50 minutes later it arrived at 8:50 more than 2.5 hours later

Found this place on whim,the food was amazing and the service was impeccable was shocked at how few people were there seeing how great the food is if anyone is looking for somewhere nice for a curry I cant recommend this place enough

We have always used Massooms and loved the food - didn’t think they were open but called today on the off chance and ordered a take away. We received such a warm welcome back like old friends when we picked up. Food was delicious as always, amazing flavours and lovely and fresh! We will definitely be making this a regular fixture again & would always recommend it.

We've order a few takeaways per week to help with running around like headless chickens. This includes a lot of Indian style foods. We've tried here for the first time and the food here tasted really good.The delivery was on time but right to the last minute.

Good food but tatty inside, really needs money spending on it. Quite bare and cold with no curtains and looking unloved. Attentive staff,friendly and a good varied menu of tasty food.

We have used this restaurant for years now. We lived in Butt Lane and have moved to Rode Heath and it is still our "go to" place for Indian food. We use the restaurant and the take-away service. The staff are always delightful and more than helpful. The food is beautiful. There are different dishes that the chef has created on there that you cannot find anywhere else and I have never been disappointed. The take-aways are just as good.

Devastated..... My wife and I are vegan, we always order from here as they're literally down the road from us. Beautiful curry to be fair. But Friday night I ordered a curry as my wife was out, and order my wife a curry because she was going to be home alone Saturday night (she can just warm it up) . My curry was lovely on the Friday. My wife always orders a vegetable korma with no cream, usually lovely. But they put chicken in. Now it's not usually a problem we all make mistakes. Rang up last night, man answers (perfect english) start telling him the issue then he goes all foreign on me and cant understand a word. Try telling him then I cant understand a word hes saying. The reason why I'm so devastated is because we always order from them and they're great. But sadly I cant order from them again now because we have no re assurance from them. I asked to speak to someone else but he wouldn't. The rudest man in the world letting the lovely small business down. We'll have to find somewhere else now :/. Unless someone calls to rectify.

First time I have been to this restaurant. Went with my partner on a Monday evening and used one of the 2-1 meal deals (Meerkat). Booked a table, didn't need to, as we were the only 2 people there all evening. I had prior spoken to people who use the restaurant at weekends when it is busy and has some atmosphere. Wasn't expecting it to be lively on a Monday but there literally was no atmosphere. Okay forced me and my partner to have a good conversation however a bit of music in the background or something would have been ideal. The food was excellent, great quality and served quickly. Would re-visit but perhaps not at the start of the week again

We have been using Masooms Massala as a takeaway for the last few months, I can honestly say we have never had a bad one, loads of flavour without being too unnecessarily hot. Prices are good and the food is ready when they say it is. Tried the Tandoori chicken this evening and again, spot on. Plus 20% off takeaway orders if you collect.

Fantastic food and friendly staff

Went to this restaurant as they were part of the meerkat meals offer! Knew when we pulled up on carpark we should of driven off! Walked through the door and looked more like a building site than a restaurant dumped on a table, which the table cloth was filthy, left with 5 menus and the waiter just buggered off, no customer service skills what so ever! 15 minutes later after they had finished shouting to each other in their mother tongue they decided to take our drinks order! Looking around there were old coats and scarfs hanging up by our table! Must of been there for a while, the place was cluttered with junk and needs a damn good clean! Whilst I was cringing when my partner took our daughter to the toilet I decided to look at the food hygiene rating to discover it was a 1! That was it needless to say we made a sharp exit, im almost sure we’d if gotten ill if we’d if stayed! I’m not surprised they have no custom.

Went for family meal for my birthday, been a few times over the years and food always lovely, prices are reasonable (food and drinks) service is good, in our opinion it should be the preferred place for a good curry in the area!

Usually the food is nice from here yet the telephone manner and overall customer service is lacking in any quality whatsoever.

Not very impressed with the portion and quality. No wonder nobody eats in there anymore... used to be nice but has steeply gone downhill. Shame really as I genuinely used to like this place.

Used to go here very regularly along time ago, thought I'd give them a try again, safe to say I won't be going again. Very disappointing. Shame as they really used to be good. I could understand if the restaurant was busy but I were the only one in there.... quality was terrible and quantity was even worse.

We travel through here on our boat maybe once a year, but this is on our itinerary if we are passing through. Food is superb and service is always friendly and without fault. Needless to say, it's still on our itinerary. Superb.

So, it's just down the road... and thankfully it's one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the food is always of the highest quality - that goes for eat-in as well as take-away! You won't be disappointed if you go here.

Went here for a friends birthday. Food was all delicious and the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Prices were also very reasonable. Would definitely return.

I haven't eaten in for a while, but the take away is lovely...well presented in quantity, warm and tasty. Great value too....the set meal allows you to have a starter, main and all the bits and bobs (Pops, Bhaji's, Nan etc) for less than £20. My tip is ask for a bit of spice!

I used to eat here a fair bit a few years ago, and have often used it for takeaways. The last few times the food has been a bit average, and tonight was sadly no better.We ordered by phone, and were told 20 minutes, so we grabbed a swift one at the Red Bull (a bit rushed as we'd been told 20 minutes) and went to collect.No food.Another 20 minutes later, food appeared (hurrah) so back to the ranch to eat.My shami kebab starter was good (aren't they always?) but that was the high point. My wife's Special was pronounced good, but my stepdaughter's chicken korma was not well received and my Korai chicken was barely average.I could forgive the wait if the food had been excellent, but sadly not a memorable takeout and we will try elsewhere next time

Left Masooms Massala about 1 hour ago (4 adults plus baby chair). This was another enjoyable visit, ALL the staff go to extremes to make you feel welcome, they don't rush you ordering from the extensive menus, you feel as if nothing is too much trouble, and again you are not made to feel rushed between courses, a proper evening out. Again the food lived up to previous experiences at this restaurant, all courses were hot and looked (dare I say, good enough to eat). Staff will answer any queries about dishes. This is our 5th visit and we will certainly be back. Thank you to everybody at Masooms, Happy Christmas, see you in the New Year.

Visited on Friday night and had a very good meal with great service.We eat out regularly and have our favorite restaurant's but decided to use Masooms because it is close to where we live and convenient. All the members of our party were very impressed with the delicious food we had and will all be using this restaurant again soon.

We went for a meal last night having been exactly a month ago and I have to say this is one of my favourite restaurants. The staff are friendly and make you feel really welcome. The food is always well cooked and delicious and there is a good range of specials and old favourites. This place is always my go to restaurant for a take-away and is my favourite Indian in the area. The only thing that lets it down is the fact the restaurant isn't as busy as it used to be which is a shame and i don't know why as the food is great.It's a definite restaurant to try. I've been going for years and will be loyal to the end.

Fantastic food, but ambience needs a little work ie, the lighting would benefit from being more 'mood' and when quiet in the early evening, the waiters are a little too close and attentive.

We tried this place out a few weeks back for a takeaway as we are always on the look out for a new Restaurant that can supply us with great clean, authentic tasting curry.We have eaten in and from hundreds of Indian Restaurants and for us this one is right up there, best in the area as far as we are concerned, I chose the Chicken Tikka Garlic Chilli, Mushroom Pilau Rice and a garlic Naan, it was amazing, the chicken was cooked to perfection, moist, amazing flavours and spices, my wife and daughter had the Tandoori Chicken with mint dip, and this was just as wonderful, wonderful flavours and chicken cooked to perfection.Not a hair in sight! fast delivery and lovely and hot when delivered, and to top it off, friendly delivery.This is our new Curry supplier and we will be using this place from now on!, thanks to all, we will try the restaurant too, we promise.Dan Lisa & Grace

We are very fortunate to live within walking distance of this restaurant, and go there frequently for take away meals, and eating in. They have also provided catering for parties which was absolutely excellent and went down very well with our guests (many of whom have visited since just to experience the lovely food).The menu is original, and uses extremely good quality fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. The chef will adapt meals to dietary requirements and cook dishes not on the menu upon request. staff are attentive, very friendly and good humored.It dawned on me following another absolutely splendid meal there this evening that sadly the location seems to be off the radar for many, which is the only reason I can think of to explain why it is not packed out every evening. Hopefully trip advisor will encourage you to make the effort to get here, as you will definitely be rewarded with one of the best meals you have ever had.

Have been coming here for quite some time, food is always good, staff always friendly although decor is a a bit of a let down.

Group went for New Years Eve meal, food was good but service was extremely slow. Not enough staff - meal took 3 hours, 1 hour before we even got popadoms and there were not many others in there.

As well as being staffed by a very friendly team, the chef(s) are clearly very talented. So far, after two visits, ordering 3 or 4 dishes per visit, each one has looked and tasted different; and, in every single case, each one has been beautifully presented (including onions, tomatoes and cucumbers cut to look like flowers). With so many speciality dishes to choose from (and the non-speciality ones are very good too), there is scope for many more visits in the future. My only complaint would be that the food is not always as hot as it could be when it arrives (but it certainly gets hot sitting over a burner/candle on the table). However, this is not much of a complaint because I should have just asked for it to be taken back and zapped in a microwave.

Having recently moved to the area I nipped into the restaurant for a take away. I explained that I was a Coeliac and I couldn't have any gluten but love my curries! I was assured I would be ok. I was ok and ten or so orders later the food gets better and better. I took my friends there last week and they all said it was one of the best curries they have ever had. Staff are spot on and very helpful without hassling for repeat drink orders every 5 mins. Because I cannot have naan bread I asked if I dropped in gluten free wheat would they make me some - they said of course. The owner and his son are top people.So happens to be curry night tonight yum yum!

We went here as a party of four on Saturday night. We had not booked, so just tipped up, hoping they had a table, which they did. We went with an open mind, after reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant was wam, although as others have stated it was not busy.The food was lovely, although I thought a little more expensive than elsewhere, the staff were attentive and very freindly, especially as they took a little ribbing from a merry party of four. We also got a free coffee on the house at the end of the night. Nice place, nice food, would go back.

The staff are friendly enough......starter was nice....main course was nice enough, tasty.....like most Indian restaurants, I couldn't say it was particularly different or special....it was fine, ok portions, tasted nice......biggest fault was how cold the restaurant was and they need to make sure that if 2 people are out eating together in a restaurant, that both meals should be served together, one of us were served our main course a few minutes earlier than the other, which I always find uncomfortable.....it might seem petty in a way, but there you go.....but we would go again........We also thought it was very reasonably priced.......

Always worries me when we are the only ones in. Food was good but it had no ambience. Sad as the food was good as was the service but if i want to eat in a room for 2, i can do it at home. Also stop hassling people to like you on your website. And no, i dont want to tell you where i live.
