Toby Carvery in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Our visit to Toby Carvery was amazing, our waitresses name was Katie B, her service was amazing she asked for puds but she told us there was ‘No Ice Cream’ but explained that she could sort our child a kids brownie and custard. This put a big smile on his face, she is a real credit to your team, as she seemed to be running drinks and making them on the bar too. There was also two other people working but didn’t get there names.

Excellent service carvery was beautiful amazing pudding service by Charlie h in the kitchen with great enthusiasm would recommend for people to check out the new look of the restaurant.

Was not impressed. To begin, the person serving the food was very miserable and slapping the food down. The plates were all dirty. There was food and grease residue on all of them and when this person was asked for clean plates, he just grabbed another pile put them down and walked away. This was just as dirty as the first lot. I had to ask someone else for clean plates and they were promptly delivered. These were better but not perfect. The hash browns were rock hard and inedible. I definitely will not be going to the Talke restaurant again.

The carvery was really busy but we had booked a table. The waitress Katie C was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The carvery was lovely and hot with a good choice of vegetables . Katie served our drinks quickly and sorted out the codes on my app when paying. She was a great waitress.

Brilliant choice of breakfast for 5.99. Lovely and hot buffet style. Even served Yorkshire pudding and gravy! We were full up till teatime!!
