Greggs in Newcastle-under-Lyme

We came to celebrate my mother's birthday last night. Everything was stunning, the food was absolutely delicious. It was very busy but even so, the food came out at a reasonable time and we we weren't left waiting. After we had eaten, the bought out my mothers cake and brought us plates and a cake knife. If it was just this, it would have been 5 stars! However after we had paid the bill, the staff then starting hovering over our table waiting for us to leave. We were a big party some people still had their drinks. A server came over and then said I do have another booking in a minute. He then came over again gesturing for us to leave at which point I explained that there were still guests finishing their drinks and as soon as they were done we would then leave. We had had such a nice time and experience but felt as soon as they had been paid we were then just a bother. It really took the shine off the night. I would go again but It would only be the most a table of 2 or 4 so we don't get rushed out the door.

Fantastic place for occasions, celebrations or just a big family get together ❤️ ann and staff were lovely and the food was exquisite.

Great food, reasonably priced and good portion size...

Went for a drink with a mate here. Lots of great beers and a fantastic, old world atmosphere. There were even people playing board games in the back room. Edit: been back multiple times now and it's always good.
