Monsoon Majestic Indian Dining in Newcastle-under-Lyme

We came to celebrate my mother's birthday last night. Everything was stunning, the food was absolutely delicious. It was very busy but even so, the food came out at a reasonable time and we we weren't left waiting. After we had eaten, the bought out my mothers cake and brought us plates and a cake knife. If it was just this, it would have been 5 stars! However after we had paid the bill, the staff then starting hovering over our table waiting for us to leave. We were a big party some people still had their drinks. A server came over and then said I do have another booking in a minute. He then came over again gesturing for us to leave at which point I explained that there were still guests finishing their drinks and as soon as they were done we would then leave. We had had such a nice time and experience but felt as soon as they had been paid we were then just a bother. It really took the shine off the night. I would go again but It would only be the most a table of 2 or 4 so we don't get rushed out the door.

A lovely restaurant serving very fine Indian cuisine. The decor is fresh and modern, background music is an interesting blend of traditional Asian instruments with a more western almost folk infused vocal. The staff are very attentive and the food - well, frankly the food is very, very good indeed

Monsoon Majestic had some of the best Indian food I’ve had, tried it all over the world and this is where you need to go to eat. Authentic recipes and the service is quality. Can’t say you could ask for better especially in stoke on Trent. What a gem!

Cannot rate anything except the poppadoms as that’s all I ate. Our table was booked for 18:30, was seated at 18:45 after being asked to wait. Order was taken minutes later upon calling a waiter over and poppadoms came promptly, we then waited until 20:20 for our food, which still didn’t arrive, until we left very disappointed. We were valid customers for many years, but I’m afraid to say, we won’t be returning, extremely disappointed with the service. In summary, this restaurant was overcrowded, the service was terrible, the wait times are disgraceful. The times we have had food here it has been beautiful, but the management and service of this establishment is disgustingly subpar.

Wonderful dining experience! There was a little bit of a wait for a table but being that it was Saturday dinner time this was to be expected. The attention we received from the staff throughout our visit was excellent and made the wait pass much faster than it otherwise could have. Once our food came any memory of the wait was lost as the food was phenomenal. The restaurant prides itself in cooking everything with care from scratch and that really shows in the quality of the food. Will be recommending to my friends

Our family of 5 visited here for dinner today and despite it being a very busy Saturday night and the restaurant being packed with people, the staff were still very helpful and the food was lovely. We did have to wait a little while for the food to come out but this was completely understandable due to how busy it was and shows how many people want to dine there! The food was very well presented and tasty and the restaurant has lovely decor. They would probably benefit from a bigger restaurant to allow for how busy it was though! Special thanks to Shim who was especially attentive!

This is our regular go to restaurant. The selection of food is more than your regular English curry dishes with plenty of authentic Indian cuisine. We have never been disappointed.

Fantastic food, straight from the kitchen to the table, lovely and hot and fresh. The Seafood platter was delicious and a good size portion. We had the Prawn Pathia and it was one of the best I've had. We also had the Chicken Tikka Massalla which was rather red but very tasty. Naan bread was beautiful. Prompt service. Great atmosphere and nice decor. All in all a lovely meal.

Yet again a fabulous meal. Lovely staff and great food. What more could you want?

My second review of this restaurant and I would leave 100 if I could. I STILL love this place after so many visits. We have never had a bad experience which is frankly amazing. The curries are beautiful, authentic and made with quality meat. They are not watery or bland like a lot of curry houses can be these days. We try something new almost every time we go because I trust everything on the menu will hit the same great standard, and it does. Would highly recommend to anyone. Didn’t take enough pictures as too busy eating 😂🤣♥️ Friendly service Great environment, even with kids Toilets are super clean and really well decorated, which is important! Very nice looking restaurant. Although the food sounds great on the menu, I found it tasteless unfortunately. Service was ok when we ordered but after that there was no service. Empty plates and glasses on the table and no one to ask if we want any deserts or drinks or the bill.. I also found it very annoying when the waiter kept pestering us about the awards they won and reviews they have. I personally didn’t enjoy it and will not be back.

This is probably the best Indian food we have had anywhere we have been, and we travel and eat a lot. Especially noteworthy are the sauces. They are deep, complex, and very delicious. None of the spices are lost with the hot. Service very good, parking in front of restaurant and prices surprisingly modest. Highly recommend!

Went in a Saturday evening for a table of three, very welcoming friendly atmosphere, the place was extremely busy and the staff dealt with it with ease and professionalism, food was amazing, will definitely be back.

Went for dinner here for the first time with my hubby and daughter last night. From the decor, atmosphere to the food was amazing. We went to Monsoon with friends on boxing day evening, where we had booked on separate tables at the same time. I booked online & also had a reminder of the date & time of the meal. The team were very accommodating when asked if we could sit together. They soon put two tables of six & four together for us at the last minute, to enable our two families to enjoy the boxing day curry together. The service was very good & the food was divine. The restaurant was not overly busy at the time so the atmosphere was good & there were plenty of staff. We have always had a good experience when eating here & will no doubt be back again. Thank you to the Monsoon team.
