Monsoon Majestic Indian Dining in Newcastle-under-Lyme

We went to Monsoon with friends on boxing day evening, where we had booked on separate tables at the same time. I booked online & also had a reminder of the date & time of the meal. The team were very accommodating when asked if we could sit together. They soon put two tables of six & four together for us at the last minute, to enable our two families to enjoy the boxing day curry together. The service was very good & the food was divine. The restaurant was not overly busy at the time so the atmosphere was good & there were plenty of staff. We have always had a good experience when eating here & will no doubt be back again. Thank you to the Monsoon team.

Thank you so much for the best Christmas day meal. Every course was perfect. The staff were so attentive and friendly, as always, and the atmosphere was just spot on. We will definitely be booking again for next Christmas. The children took some persuading to go for an Indian on Christmas day, but both of them want to come back next christmas as well. Winner!! Lovely food, staff very accommodating here most weekends

My partner and I came here on Christmas Day and for the very first time. We cannot fault Monsoon. The food was delicious, it was quick service and ran efficiently. We will definitely be returning again!

Lovely experience just a bit rushed

Had the most amazing curry here! We went for Christmas Day! The service was impeccable, everything came out super fast. You had the option of traditional Christmas dinner which looked fabulous but we opted for the curry of course! What a fabulous time Thankyou so much guys! The best in stoke :)

Been to monsoon many times, second Xmas day spent here, food was amazing, excellent service and value for money. Dry ice show for my little girl was a lovely touch. Thanks guys, we will be back soon

We're a group of New Yorkers visiting the UK for Christmas to see family, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, and we're so glad we did! We shared a variety of curries, naan bread, and sides, and every one was great. We hope to come back and try more!

First visit last night as a Christmas treat. Was absolutely delicious. The nicest curry I’ve had. Reasonably priced too. Staff very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Couldn’t fault anything.

We live half an hour away but make the trip because of the quality of what you get here!

Terrible service! Got my time moved back 15 mins on the day of my booking and then they moved us tables three times! Over charged our bill, had to go back for a refund the next day! And we were offered no apology for the poor service. We only got service an hour after our table was originally booked for.

Lovely food brought promptly to the table. However, at the moment Monsoon is trying to accommodate too many covers. During 2 recent visits we were asked to move to another table after starters - waited 20mins for our table. On a second visit we were gestured to move away from our table as we left so that the waiters could move in to clean & prepare for the next guests. Felt unwelcome & rushed.

I booked Monsoon for a group meal. The restaurant was spotless, toilets were stunning (I judge a place on the cleanliness of the loo!), the service was excellent and the food was gorgeous. I’d say it’s the best balti I’ve ever had. We’ve also had a Christmas meal too and will be returning next year.

Busy, but felt like they were just tryna fit people in wherever they could. We felt rushed in ordering, eating and we were asked to move our reservation earlier, but when we had said we cannot the person over the phone then got irritated and hung up. Chicken in the tikka masala was hard, tough and was eventually taken out of the curry which left a slither of sauce, chips were hard and food tasted bland. Wasn’t an enjoyable experience, when we reported this to our waiter he just said “I’ll report this to the chef” the one meal wasn’t taken off the bill, even though it was barely touched.

Been here a few times now, always fresh and tasty food. The chicken is melt in the mouth, very juicy and tender. Would highly recommend!

Great food and great service, certainly didn’t mind paying the bill which was very reasonable. Only too happy to vary the menu for a couple of different vegetarian options which was much appreciated. I had the Chicken Pathia with a Peshwari Naan fabulous thanks.

We had such a lovely meal and evening tonight.

We ate here for the 1st time, very early, mid week. It was naturally very quiet, being this time of the year and so early. Before reviewing, we feel ashamed that we’ve not eaten here before and, the reason follows. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant, tasteful music at a perfect volume in the background. We were led to our seats and given just the right amount of time to mull over what we were to eat and drink. The choice on the menu was excellent. We ordered very differing choices and both arrived quickly, piping hot and delicious. We were informed of portion sizes and found then to be just right. Delicious food, great service and in a lovely atmosphere. The first of many visits. It was so nice to eat tasty food at the freshest temperature that I took no pictures. I will next time.

The Monsoon has been our goto for many years and gets better and better. Truly fantastic food with so much flavour… we don’t believe it can be beaten.
