We cycled over 10 miles to visit this entity which apparently has not been a tea room for over 3 years. It is still showing on the Herefordshire publicity material and cycle guides as a tea room. The photographs on Trip Advisor are also very misleading. There are currently no tea rooms in Pembridge.

Extremely friendly We were on a walk and the sun was shinning so we called in on this lovely pub We were served by a lovely girl called Abby who was so friendly and helpful We had a portion of chips but if they were anything to go on the food here would be delicious Chips were piping hot and a very good portion , highflying recommended If you want an oldie worldly pub call in, you won’t be disappointed

Came for Sunday lunch, outstanding meal, presented well and packed full of flavour, had the roast beef, it was cooked to perfection! followed by the cheesecake which is was another delight, the best cheesecake I've ever had. Compliments to the chef for a superb meal. Highly recommend a visit to Penhros Court.

We were four for lunch. We hadn't been to the Stag for a while with memories of a quiet country pub/restaurant. A friendly greeting and we were shown to a table in a somewhat garishly presented dining room, quite different from what we expected. Service was efficient but rather brisk and we were spoken to rather loudly. Perhaps our combined age of 340 years was a factor? Food was a mixed bag. The starters were fine but two of the main courses were a let down. Ceasar salad was presented in a bowl, difficult to eat, with a large piece of chicken instead of strips and huge hard croutons. We asked for a plate and for the croutons to be broken down. When ordering gammon I had expected a slice about quarter of an inch thick with poached egg. What came was a large medallion which required a steak knife to get through it. When I mentioned the unusual presentation (for me) I was told that they had been serving it that way for some months without complaint. So there, I thought! Finally, the wine, a glass of Malbec, £11.00.

Very poor. Seasonal pasty very ordinary. Overpriced. Chips far too salty. But the service from the male kid serving was atrocious, surly, disinterested. Not welcomed at all. Used many times in the distant past, hoped be good after reopening. No. It’s hard enough surviving in this business but need to make people welcome all the time. I own two restaurants. Then to have 10% service added “which you can take off if you want” yes I did want. 1st time ever!

Came in here for a birthday celebration meal and this pub was an excellent example of how to do home cooked meals well. Food was excellent and served well too, with a small menu but with plenty of choice to suit all tastes within our group. Dishes were served hot and came with good selection of veg and potato side dishes too. Prices are decent value too as you are getting freshly prepared food. Drinks selection was of a good quality and I would recommended the dunkertons cider for anyone wishing to have something different. Wine by the glass is of a good quality.Desserts are a must and they are very generous in portion which all in the party enjoyed and even the chef came out to say hello which was a lovely touch as we could personally compliment how excellent the food was. Highly recommend this pub for food and would say it was the best meal that we had whilst away in the Herefordshire area. Felt welcomed without a doubt and it was a friendly chilled out pub which didn’t have a divide between the tourist trade and the locals. Would return happily.

We had coffee and cake here after a busy tour of the black and white villages. The homemade scone was delicious as was the aubergine and courgette cake! Coffee was good too! A lovely olde worlde building now a tea room/ restaurant that once was a pub. Definitely a place to go when in the village.
