A most spectacular place, farmhouse, accommodation, pub and restaurant. Nice selection of daily specials on the menu, fresh, home cooked,good portions and tasty. Friendly staff, wonderful barn renovated as restaurant. Roaring fire and Tesla charging station too!

This is such a lovely, peaceful spot, with excellent food and service, beautiful views and ample parking. A perfect place for a quick coffee or a leisurely meal.

We went for lunch and we were very disappointed to find a dark dingy cafe. We were pointed to sit at a dirty table. After we asked for a cloth someone came to wipe the table but we had to point out spots they missed. We were given a menu and it was tiny. Only baguettes or jacket potatoes - but no tuna - they had run out. Food was, in my opinion, very overpriced. Nearly £10 for a big standard baguette with some crisps on the side. No thank you. We didn’t stay any longer - it was neither welcoming or inviting. Nothing like the website depicted.

Exactly 20 years to the day before our recent visit we got married at Penrhos Court! It has changed ownership and the main house is now private but there is a great cafe/restaurant there - The Cattle Shed. We had a very delicious posh fish finger sandwich but were suffering quite a lot of ‘food envy’ when we say other people’s burgers and fish and chips which looked amazing! The cakes (we shared a piece of orange drizzle cake) were divine! We’ll be back for sure! Lovely!

Just had the most amazing Gluten Free fish & chips. I have not found this ever. What a treasure. My other half had the most beautiful pizza (not gluten free). The food and atmosphere was just perfect. Can’t fault it at all. Prices are so reasonable. We have been here a few times and it is now better than ever. Loved it! Will be returning many more times. Also, the staff are an absolute joy and work so hard. We so appreciate that.

Stopped off at the Cattle Shed whilst on holiday and travelling to the Rare Breeds centre outside of Kington. From the outside it looks like a historical attraction with the half timbered farmhouse behind. Was greeted by a lovely young lady and had no problem getting a table. Ordered the all day breakfast and a mug of tea and it was the best food I'd had all holiday. Really tasty! Cannot recommend this place enough for great food, great service, friendly atmosphere and really nice surroundings. It was the highlight of my day!

This place will soon have cottages to let, and boy oh boy is it a beautiful spot. The Cafe is the functioning part right now, and it is a must stop for anyone driving through the area, to stop for breakfast or lunch. The surroundings and the quietness, plus the place itself, an old farm dating back to who knows what year, is being delicately refurbished by Mark and his wife with great effort and taste. We stopped there with some friends and were welcome by their friendly (and huge) dogs and enjoyed some coffees in their garden by a small pond. This place is the perfect quiet retreat and also a great location for wedding photography and why not, a country wedding celebration too. I am looking forward to the time when the cottages are finished (will be soon) at Penrhos Court.
