The best restaurants in Hope End Herefordshire, County of West Midlands

A lovely walk on the hills followed by a delicious meal at a local pub. Dog friendly with a relaxed environment. Highly recommend for all those thirsty walkers

What a fantastic stopover (in our Campervans) for the four of us. All the staff were brilliant 👏 so attentive and so friendly including the owners (Heather and Chris, you were fab 👌👍). The food was awesome with a lovely varied menu at such reasonable prices, not to mention the varied choice of beers and wine. Many thanks to Mel and Vicky who went out of their way to be so helpful (and also the young lady, sorry didn't get your name, who was straight at the table with water when my wife had a coughing fit). You really have created such a lovely welcoming and friendly atmosphere, it was our first visit, but definitely won't be the last. We found the food to be great quality and value. Qué was slow due to popularity and just the one person taking the orders but friendly service and the food came quickly once the order was placed, and was tasty.

We went for the Sunday all you can eat buffet and we were really impressed. We like variety, so we often go out for buffets across the country but this probably served the best quality food we've had from any of them; we enjoyed every dish. The setting was lovely with a big car park and the other guests were all nice and civilised too (there was no feeling of pigs in a trough, which we sometimes get in other places).

Very average. The staff were lovely and welcoming, but the food was really bland and uninteresting. The garnishes were pretty, but the starters were all a bit stale. The seafood green Thai curry was so watery, and had hardly anything in it. The stir fried vegetables had more garnish on the plate than actual veg, and it just didn’t taste fresh. It wasn’t awful, but it was just ok.

I was visiting from Canada, staying with my sister in colwall. Went here and had a fantastic meal, food was on our table in about 10 mins. Will definitely go again next year when I visit again

WOW What a treasure of a find. We all went out for a family dinner while we were all staying at Eastnor Castle, there were 9 of us. It’s such a rare thing now a days to go out for dinner and have beautifully presented and delicious food, friendly and inviting atmosphere, service was a star and all for a very reasonable price. I can not fault anything, it was a pleasure to go. If you do go see if they have the Ribs and cheesecake in… three of our party said 5 stars 🌟

Really hoped that this would be another good cafe in the village, but I was sadly disappointed. Very, very limited choice of cakes. Sausage rolls did look tasty, but too early in the day to try them. Two coffees ordered, both served tepid warm. Returned to counter and offered replacements. Again, not very hot at all, I could have drunk mine in one gulp which shows how cold it was. Was their machine not working properly, lack of staff concern? Please, please try to sort it out as we would love you to succeed in the village.

Had dint there. Staff were very nice which is why it gets a 2 star from me because the food was awful. Dining room was like a village hall, the salad nicoise with smoked mackerel had no more than £3 worth of ingredients and cost £16, apart from the boiled egg it was grey. No tomato, red onion, olives, just boiled potatoes , undercooked green beans, egg and mackerel. The flat bread and roasted veg looked worse. The veg looked stewed and devoid of any colour or texture. A very disappointing meal.

We visited Morso during a recent stay in the local area. Had a very nice hot chocolate with coconut milk which was like a bounty bar in a cup. Would have had one of the yummy looking selection of sweet treats on offer but couldnt as lacked gluten free options which was a shame. Would visit again.

We stayed at Barton Court whilst working but it was the most wonderful place to return to after long days. The house is beautiful and very well appointed with individually decorated rooms full of character. The setting is perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommend for large family groups or large groups of friends.

Food and service and the local beers were all amazing. Especially the service. We think Joe should have a raise and a promotion!

Warning. Do not visit this pub if you just fancy a drink after a long walk in the locale area. You will be abruptly turned away……why you ask? Because the car park isn’t big enough for people are not eating.
