Update. 22/04/24 Mondays 12pm till 8pm it's £3 a pint for cask beers ! 🍻 get ya self down after work for a pint of real ale! A cracking bar serving some fantastic real ales with upto six real ales on at a time. Bottled and canned craft beers available too. Lovely place. Good service. Good atmosphere 👌 some Saturday nights they have a live singer on . Bar gets busy on a weekend evening . Some people also enjoy sitting out front of the bar at the tables with a bag of chips from the fish and chip shop next door. Update 01/12/24 Good real ale selection that's always changing . Friendly and helpful staff. I still recommend the place to people!

Called in on way home from Bruce Springsteen gig the night before, wasn't disappointed. Got a table straight away, ordered 2 healthy breakfast and 1 regular. Coffee while we waited. When the food arrived, we were given complimentary coffees. The food was cooked to perfection. Staff, friendly and attentive. The prices were cheap. Place was spotless. No complaints here, just wished we lived nearer( we live Manchester and Merseyside)we would be in there every weekend for a breakfast. If ever we are in the area again, we will definitely be calling in again. Won't be eating anywhere else. Great value for money

Lovely place, unfortunately was told by a member of staff to go home as child was upset, and coming from a family pub don't think it's the right course of action to take. Other than that everything fine.

Lovely breakfast... Came here to meet friends who live nearby. Great little place, food was fresh, well cooked, reasonable prices and service with a smile. We will be using this place again I'm sure.. No parking on site but a cheap carpark very close or use Asda free for 3 hours Right in the main parade this is a very clean and a Very nice place to eat, they also have a large grill selection... There was a group of 6 of us for a festive pre booked meal. A few things went wrong but it didn’t matter as the staff did their best to sort it out and were friendly and helpful. We have come for a number of years for our festive get together and will continue to do so. Food was very tasty. Thanks to the staff who served us.

i ordered home delivery, i was nursing my new born baby, i live 13 steps to my home and the delivery driver would not come up to my home the food was lovley but delivery was not delivery

We've spent hundreds of pounds online with this takeaway so far this year. We were passing and decided to drop in. I placed our order at the counter only to be told that they do not accept anything other than cash. Despite our loyalty (and not a penny on us) we were refused service unless we went online. There was no exception and no consideration of our almost weekly custom. So, we wasted time and money placing a Just Eat order (which costs more) whist standing at the counter. If you're considering them, be aware that this is how Golden Wok values a loyal customer. We will never patronise them again, and I'd import you to consider their customer service.

Most of the time it is closed and they do not work according to the listed working hours. But overall, it is of high quality and very tasty

Takeaway Food awful this evening, ordered Yuk Sung 'edible but not good', chicken & veg, beef with cashew - both seem to be cooked in strong, horrible, thick sticky sauce that both tasted the same and egg fried rice, 90% went in bin and won't go there again. Not good since original owners left 👎.

Rhona was brilliant with her fast service to our table making sure everything was ready and that we was happy with our meal, the food was absolutely delicious and i enjoyed every piece of it!!
