The Royal Oak in Dudley

Came for my Moms birthday yesterday for dinner and some drinks, there was 11 of us. The food was amazing and so was the service from Paige, Steph, Hollie and Aimee. Had a great celebration, can’t recommend enough!

Nice place but to noisy food and service was good

Very disappointing pub, I am completely shocked we have been in Ember pubs all over the country and always been very welcome in with our toy poodle doggy. Oh no not the Royal Oak, we walked in with our little poodle ordered our drinks sat down just starting to relax our poodle is asleep on the floor, making no noise or problems. The bar attendant asked us to leave and sit outside in the rain and 40mph wind with the dog. There was not even a sign up to say no dogs, apparently the sign has gone missing. Disappointing and will be making an official complaint to Ember. I totally understand dog areas in pubs. However this service was unbelievable, if you don't want dogs pop it on the door and update your website. Thank you

Popped in for a family meal. Atmosphere for a Thursday was great, food, despite being busy was served in good time and was devoured in record time. The service was efficient and friendly. Dani went above and beyond as always

Dropped by for lunch as I'd heard from friends that the food was good. I was not disappointed. I was in the mood for spicy food so I had the chicken tikka curry and a side order of chips. The food was tasty and I enjoyed it immensely. The wait for the food was short and served by a smiling member of the staff.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, service very good and efficient ( Hollie ,Aimee and Paige) great in the summer with a large patio at the front, The food is worth trying also 👍

Average chain pub. Expensive but busy. run of the mill beers, no real ales to speak worth mentioning but if you like carling you'll enjoy

It was mother's day so busy, but ur staff were very efficient, and always smiling, nothing was you much trouble. Food was nice and good value.

Visited tonight with my friends and had a lovely time. I have a milk allergy and the team were so accommodating. Staff at the bar were very helpful and checked what food was suitable even giving me some vegan Mayo with my meal. They even made me a special hot chocolate with oak milk in the kitchen as the ones out of the drinks machine were not suitable. Thank you to the lady who facilitated this so sad we didn’t get her name but she was so kind and friendly. Will defiantly we re visiting on the future.

The staff are so efficient and friendly, the atmosphere has a good vibe as soon as you enter the pub. Plenty of choice on the menu and some good offers on the app.

It is my local, the food is excellent, especially the rib of beef I had last night, the service is good as well and I feel the staff look after the customers well. I am going again tomorrow for a lunchtime meal with a friend, who also enjoyed her meal last time we went there. I am so glad it is my local pub and restaurant, as now we don't have to drive for miles on a cold wintry night to get superb food.

We went for dinner on a Monday night. From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to be helpful; especially over my wife’s shellfish allergy. Service was quick. The chef kindly did a dish not on the menu for my wife to accommodate her allergy - top stuff. Thank you. Nice food. Fair prices. All in all would happily go back if I’m in the area again.

Fish and chips, sausage and mash. Vanessa was a lovely bar host and server. Belgian hot chocolate was a hit on a cold English day. For a pub the tables were very clean, no sticky feel here. As an American this was a nice little spot in Birmingham. Will be back.

Worst staff ever, so rude on Christmas eve, would not let anyone in despite being half empty at 9pm. Manager was no where to be seen and door staff were useless.

An awful night. Had to use a table without it being wiped first. Awfully noisy place you cannot have a conversation. Terribly overcrowded. We eat and left very quickly.

Nice place to eat and drink, staff friendly

Our experience with breakfast with Santa was seamless had both our grandsons with us one only having come out of plaster after a very bad break of his leg 2 days before so were obviously very nervous from the reception by the elves to Santa and Mrs Claus was a wonderful experience for us all add to that a very well cooked delicious full English you had a very happy nan,grandad and grandsons would highly recommend the venue to everyone top drawer from start to finish,many thanks to all involved

I was in the pub on Wednesday, the staff had a very rude table of guests singing about the wait on food, staff handled them being rude and inconsiderate very well and in a professional manner I felt embarrassed for them tbh Our food was lovely and the staff were lovely too Great service and definitely will be retuning

Not good 12 of us come for food pub cold food cold so at 18 pound ahead shame on u booked food for 1230 food come at 3pm chips cold but the pub cold don't think we will be bk shame on u royal oak food s --- hm not good

The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. Atmosphere is really nice and welcoming also and staff all very friendly. Would 100% return again.

Food was nice but unfortunately got cold very quickly as customers kept leaving by the fire exit which was directly in front of our table and a blast of cold air was felt every time it opened. No signage to say - door alarmed - FIRE EXIT ONLY. PLEASE USE THE OTHER DOOR. That was the only thing that spoilt it. And as we were eating it was quite a big part. Certainly wouldn't sit in that area again.

I have been a regular at this pub for a few years now. The food and atmosphere here are amazing. The staff, particularly Vanessa ( ness ) are always helpful, and ness always has time for a word and a cheery smile for everyone.

it was a shame as the staff seemed stressed but i had a voucher for 25% off but they couldn’t get it to work so i didn’t get it off then when the food came the scampi was a little soft not crispy. i asked for more tartar sauce and he seemed annoyed.

Just had Nachos ordered here via Uber Eats and just look at the state of them!! What did you do guys - just empty a bag of cheap Lidl Tortilla Chips into a tray then squirt of a bit of cheap melted American cheese slices and then graciously throw in a few flakes of Cheddar as a special gift for ordering from you?
