We had a delicious Christmas meal here on Christmas Day with the family. The breaks between dishes were perfect, food was served fresh and hot, and the drinks service was brilliant. Thankyou to Paige, Sam, Amanda and Aimee for the amazing customer service.

An excellent Christmas Day experience at the Royal Oak. Food was very good and great value. Portions sized generous. Service was friendly and nice short breaks between courses. Visited Christmas Day 2023 too and was similarly pleased.

There was a group of 6 of us for a festive pre booked meal. A few things went wrong but it didn’t matter as the staff did their best to sort it out and were friendly and helpful. We have come for a number of years for our festive get together and will continue to do so. Food was very tasty. Thanks to the staff who served us.

The staff especially Charlie were perfect, very helpful and attentive. The food and atmosphere were excellent.

What can I say other than we had a great time, even though work was being done which we had been informed about. We had a Christmas lunch, which we all thoroughly enjoyed, lovely and Christmassy . The staff who were there on Tuesday 3rd Dec at 12.30 were excellent , prompt and very helpful with our needs. They definately went the extra mile. Well Done. We will be visiting again. Xxx

Lovely night out with a friend, atmosphere was really good. The food is good, although I do think the vegetarian and vegan options could be improved. Would definitely recommend going there

Lovely Sunday lunch, we had the Sunday Duo and it was really good, the meat was tender and all of it was piping hot. The portions are a good size and the veg was cooked to perfection. Had the crème brûlée for dessert, so so good 🤤 The staff were brilliant, shout out to Aimee, Charlie and Amanda on the bar for such fantastic service and to Tom, Megan and Jodi in the kitchen for the excellent food!! Can’t wait to come back next Sunday 😊

Great atmosphere, great staff, service was excellent

We had a very enjoyable family festive meal this afternoon. The food and service were first class and we can’t wait to return A lovely experience from start to finish.

My first visit, I found this pub had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly. The food was very reasonably priced, and all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal's. Will definitely be returning

Went for breakfast after passing many times in the number 9 bus. Service was great, staff were friendly. Was quiet as they were just opening when we got there, food was tasty I had the breakfast and so did my partner, my 5 year old had the kids breakfast all of which was lovely. Particularly the sausages. Had an early pint (10 am) was perfectly poured and cold and crisp. Used the toilets which were clean and smelled nice, overall just a really nice morning pint and breakfast before our walk through leasowes Park. Definitely coming back.

Food is good for pub food. Always enough staff serving so you aren't waiting long.

This is a wonderful place to eat, delicious food, good prices, and pleasant atmosphere. Attentive service by Tiah and Sam.

Great welcome from the bar staff. Clean and spacious bar and restaurant areas. Good menu choices, foff was served hot, well presented and very tasty. Went for the dinner 2 course option great value for money and well worth it, Rump steak cooked to perfection. Would defiantly recommend and will be going back.

Value for money. Pleasant ambience. Good choice of meals. Server needs to be aware that you should not serve plates across other people but from the side to each person. Used here before many years ago. could do with a freshen up. tables a tad unsteady. Its the little things which let it down.

Prawn baguette had only 4 tiny prawns on it and a tiny bit of dressing Should have been advertised as a baguette with 4 prawns not a prawn baguette

I was greeted by the most amazing members of staff who later through conversation I engaged with at the bar I learnt was Tracey, Hollie and Charlie (He told me he's a wrestler, by the name Screwball). The beer selection made me feel like a kid in a candy shop! Although adding Staropramen or Rattler on tap would make it even better 😉 After a few tipples and hearty laughs with the staff as I was being served I left slightly inebriated but knowing I would be making a return voyage to The Royal Oak in the not too distant future 😁

Great pint served with the football. Charlie, Hollie and Tracey all served me at separate times. No wait times to be served. Staff all look busy which is great to see in a great local pub!

Nice place for food, drink options were ok, although food was good, we had a long wait for it. May just have been a bad day.

First time in here for a long time. Was not a disappointment. The service was impeccable. The guy who took our order asked if we had any allergies, he came and checked if we needed vegan cheese ect on the burgers we ordered. Was a nice touch to be asked! The food was outstanding, we were impressed with entire experience and service here. We will definitely come again for sure and look out for entertainment in the future.

Royal Oak is a British pub style place close to Halesowen with a nice kitchen that makes tasty food. There is a huge sitting area and an extension outside if you want to get some fun. They also have free parking and do one of those scan codes to make orders online. The wait time wasn't bad too. Nice experience all together.

I visited this pub and I asked for a medium well steak and it came back with a raw pink inside and juice covering my plate. Cajun fries were alright. Took our drinks away for some reason and replaced them with smaller ones although paying for full sized ones.

Came for my Moms birthday yesterday for dinner and some drinks, there was 11 of us. The food was amazing and so was the service from Paige, Steph, Hollie and Aimee. Had a great celebration, can’t recommend enough!

Very disappointing pub, I am completely shocked we have been in Ember pubs all over the country and always been very welcome in with our toy poodle doggy. Oh no not the Royal Oak, we walked in with our little poodle ordered our drinks sat down just starting to relax our poodle is asleep on the floor, making no noise or problems. The bar attendant asked us to leave and sit outside in the rain and 40mph wind with the dog. There was not even a sign up to say no dogs, apparently the sign has gone missing. Disappointing and will be making an official complaint to Ember. I totally understand dog areas in pubs. However this service was unbelievable, if you don't want dogs pop it on the door and update your website. Thank you

Dropped by for lunch as I'd heard from friends that the food was good. I was not disappointed. I was in the mood for spicy food so I had the chicken tikka curry and a side order of chips. The food was tasty and I enjoyed it immensely. The wait for the food was short and served by a smiling member of the staff.

Average chain pub. Expensive but busy. run of the mill beers, no real ales to speak worth mentioning but if you like carling you'll enjoy

Visited tonight with my friends and had a lovely time. I have a milk allergy and the team were so accommodating. Staff at the bar were very helpful and checked what food was suitable even giving me some vegan Mayo with my meal. They even made me a special hot chocolate with oak milk in the kitchen as the ones out of the drinks machine were not suitable. Thank you to the lady who facilitated this so sad we didn’t get her name but she was so kind and friendly. Will defiantly we re visiting on the future.

The staff are so efficient and friendly, the atmosphere has a good vibe as soon as you enter the pub. Plenty of choice on the menu and some good offers on the app.

It is my local, the food is excellent, especially the rib of beef I had last night, the service is good as well and I feel the staff look after the customers well. I am going again tomorrow for a lunchtime meal with a friend, who also enjoyed her meal last time we went there. I am so glad it is my local pub and restaurant, as now we don't have to drive for miles on a cold wintry night to get superb food.

We went for dinner on a Monday night. From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to be helpful; especially over my wife’s shellfish allergy. Service was quick. The chef kindly did a dish not on the menu for my wife to accommodate her allergy - top stuff. Thank you. Nice food. Fair prices. All in all would happily go back if I’m in the area again.

Fish and chips, sausage and mash. Vanessa was a lovely bar host and server. Belgian hot chocolate was a hit on a cold English day. For a pub the tables were very clean, no sticky feel here. As an American this was a nice little spot in Birmingham. Will be back.

Booked Sunday lunch for 12 people for my Mom’s 80th birthday. We were made very welcome and the Staff were great in making sure we had everything we needed. The meals were fantastic and even though some ordered from the main menu not the Sunday...
