Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Good parking and large garden. Had the chicken leak and ham pie nicely prepared and presented excellent value. Plenty of tables and seating. Good range of drinks. Will be visiting again. Thank you for a pleasant lunch.

Didn't have any food, but the service and atmosphere was very welcoming

I popped in here with my family, as I have never tried the hunting tree before. I must say I was very impressed with the standards they exceed! The food was hot and delicious and great value for money I had the chicken platter it was very delicious. My wife had the chip shop platter which looked stunning! Will deffo be returning staff lovely and helpful as well! Thankyou!

Great landlady & brilliant atmosphere

My wife and I popped in for lunch and found we had to use the bar area to eat because of a wake..but that wasn't a problem in fact we really enjoyed it and the owner was brilliant in apologising and so nice..service was great..will be eating there again no problem..thanks Huntingtree.

We didn't eat there on this occasion. We went to see the butcher who sells produce on the car park

This visit was just for a quick meet up with friends so did not eat. Nice atmosphere and staff friendly.

I attended the hunting tree with freinds, whats an amazing experience this was. the manager Sarah and her staff were very welcoming. lovely bar area with a well presented darts area which was a winner for us. The beer is well priced and the food is amaizng (buffalo taco rolls are the best) . Will deffinently be returning in the near future. Thank you for a lovely experience Sarah see you soon.

I would recommend the Huntingtree pub to everybody! I go with my family for food regularly and it is always cooked to perfection no matter what you have but we particularly love the steaks, definitely the best around! The manager and owner, Sarah, is the most sociable and welcoming person, alongside all the other lovely staff who are always so polite and show a genuine interest in the customers. They facilitate for everybody as there is wheelchair access via a ramp if you ask for it and also are a dog friendly pub. Absolutely love and would definitely recommend!

New menu & drinks were absolutely fantastic! Treated ourselves to the Ribs & Wings which were cooked to perfection 😋 and for dessert a Sticky Toffee pudding with a lovely Aperol Spritz, Amazing Service and was greeted upon arrival by Sarah and bar staff was consistent in checking up on us Would definitely recommend and will be coming back 👍🏻

Visited the pub multiple times since it’s reopened darts, pool & events on a weekend. Exactly what Halesowen needed, good range of alcohol available. Bar staff are always friendly, sports is always on & they will listen to requests. All round top pub.

We have been coming to the hunting tree since Sarah took over and we wouldn’t come anywhere else, food is great , staff are great and the owner is amazing. Defo recommend!

Not much on our plates. I asked to change peas to bean and she refused and said something about messing up the stock on till. I've been eating out regular all my life and I have NEVER been told that I can't change peas to beans. Chicken was over cooked and dry. I definitely won't go back again.

Went with family Christmas Day for dinner, the starter, main course and dessert were all FANTASTIC plus a complementary glass of Proseco, followed by mince pie and tea/coffee. Staff were very organised, professional and extremely friendly and obviously hard working. To sum up the day it was EXCELLENT.

9 of us came here for Christmas dinner. Well looked after, food was delicious, 5 courses. Great value for money. Definitely want to book next year.

Booked the lounge for a function, it was a wake after my brother Neil's funeral. Ideal room, nice atmosphere and excellent staff.

This has been our local pub restaurant of choice since we discovered it a few months ago. The food is very good and there are offers on at lunchtime and Monday to Thursday for main meals and on Fridays a fish supper plus a drink is £9, very good value. The food is always piping hot. Sarah is the manager and goes out of her way to welcome her customers and all staff are friendly and efficient. There's a bar area for sports lovers and drinkers, a dining area with TV's but no sound and a lovely outdoor area for families when the weather is good. Much better here now they serve food, a good community pub. 😋 We've been eating at this pub most weeks for some time. Busy this evening as there was an Aston Villa match on. We had an early meal as I had to babysit. Tried the fish finger sandwich, a bit too much tartar sauce for me but OK as a light meal. Staff lovely and friendly. A good pub serving all generations in a happy atmosphere.

We have just had a cracking Sunday lunch x2 and a chicken and bacon burger, all presented well by the chef, and all was delicious and a reasonable price for the 3 of us. Staff were great 👍

We received a really warm welcome from Paris, who was very attentive. We ate Singapore noodles, one with chicken and one with crispy cauliflower and sticky toffee pudding. Compliments to Jack - the food was delicious, it was piping hot and arrived promptly. Nice little pub with a cracking menu. Thank you 😀

This was second time me family came for food 1st time couldn't fault it but yesterday was very disappointed chicken was over cooked n dry half menu couldn't have and the mix grill wasn't worth what we paid

Went out for a family meal yesterday, a party of six. Extremely enjoyable. Lovely meals, a really excellent choice, everyone enjoyed their meals, we all had different choices. Well cooked, hot and tasty. Fantastic environment and friendly, helpful staff.

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited here yesterday, as I'd only ever been in once before for a few pints years ago and it struck me then as mainly a drinkers pub, so it was refreshing to see that it had been refurbished and turned into a family friendly establishment that serves food. I called up to book a table in the week and the call was answered promptly by a lovely lady on the other line who sorted out my request with no problems. I pre-booked with there being 7 of us dining and with it being the bank holiday weekend I was expecting the place to be rammed, but it was far from busy. One of our group who is a beer fanatic was disappointed that there was no real ale available so he went in for a cider and another person in our group commented on how nice his Guinness was. But nevermind the drink selection, we were there mainly to eat and we dined on some lovely, solid, pub food. The portion sizes were spot on for everyone, not too little and not too much, everything on our plates was hot and for the price paid we really couldn't complain about anything. It's great to see another alternative to Spoons in the local area and if I were wanting somewhere to eat I'd pick here over there hands down. I went in for the Bombay Burger and it was amazing. It was standing tall and I just about managed to fit my mouth around it after squishing it down. It was full of tasty fried meat free chunks, salad, poppadom and smothered in mango chutney. The relation sitting next to me went in for the chicken platter and I tried one of his carolina reaper wings. The wing itself was plump with meat and the reaper glaze/sauce was tasty before it crept up and took effect. The kids were super happy with their choices, with a decent list of things to choose from and a pudding thrown in for £5.49, I can't grumble. I also admire places like this that offer kids eat free weekday deals throughout the summer holidays I think it's a lovely gesture. Keep on going strong The Huntingtree and I hope you get many visitors pass through your door 😊⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just popped in for Breakfast! Great quality especially for the price paid! Meat was especially great. Will defiantly re-visit for breakfast again. Just standard coffee served but the food 100% worth the visit.

First time at this pub, came here after a day out with my nephew, the pub is nice and clean and food was tasty, really good service from Paris and she was very accommodating with our meals, would definitely come here again, kids holiday deal (kids eat free) is great for a family budget. I was in the your pub today and I must say the food I had was delicious 😋 I had the desperado nachos to start then the Singapore noodles with cauliflower wings for my main. The staff was amazing Paris was so lovely and attentive and very professional also the chef Jack was lovely and very helpful with food recommendations for my parents who are abut fussy but they absolutely enjoyed there food also and the relaxed calm atmosphere I would say this is the best pub in Halesowen and will be going back again soon. Thank you Paris & Jack 💛

A really nicely presented pub restaurant. Separate bar area with pub games like darts and fruit machines. Really good quality beer and reasonably priced. A few screens for watching sports, quality of decor is really nice. Well worth a visit.

I can’t comment on food as I just popped in for a drink. Never been in here in all the time I’ve lived in the area. Have to say it’s the best kept pub in Halesowen. I know it’s been refurbished recently but it is immaculately clean and someone was even cleaning the menus when we were there. Will pop in on my next day off to try some food. The menu looked good and there was a good breakfast choice that they are testing.

Had a meal here with my adult son. The staff were so helpful setting up their ramp for my mobility scooter. We had an enjoyable meal. Yet it would be nice if access was easier. As it was scary going up their homemade ramp. Pity that there is no disability friendly access to their massive beer garden. As it would make entry for the disabled a lot easier. An that's not a complaint. Just a sensible suggestion. As it would open the pub up to more disabled customers. As it's a lovely pub. An the beer garden is well laid out. The only thing letting it down is easier access. I'm amazed it's not more busy. As it's set in such a nice area. I will definitely be going again soon. Yet I think my son will have to get my scooter up that steep ramp. As I was unsettled going up it due to how steep an high it is. I'm looking forward to a different choice on their menu next time though. As another table had fish & chips which he wants to try on our next visit. As he said their fish looked lovely an bubbly battered lol. It's definitely worth a visit. As it really is a lovely pub. An so nice an quiet in the beer garden. As you don't hear any traffic noise. Just the sounds of nature. It's so relaxing. Give it a try 😀

Our 1st time here for meals with the family arrived with high expectations after seeing the reviews. Booked the table for 7 o'clock ordered a round of drinks and food. After an hour wait a member of staff said sorry for the delay the food will be 10 mins the food turned up half hour later !! When the food arrived there was no side sald or peas just steak and chips. We were told they had fun out steak was over cooked I asked for medium it was well done Pub itself was nice good drinks selection but I won't be returning sorry

We booked ahead and glad we did as it was really busy which was great to see. Three adults and four children all left full and happy. Food was great and a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Will return.

Great family friendly pub - reasonably priced and really tasted food. We walk past the pub on a daily basis on the school run and have been meaning to pop in for a while. Visited today as an end of term treat. Lovely refurb inside, very nicely decorated. Staff were warm and welcoming and a really nice menu with a good variety. My daughter and I really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.

Booked in for mothers day meal. Food was OK, service was ok. Half the staff are just there to socialise. Got accused of buying alcohol for under agers to start with. (my daughter) Let dogs run round barking in the restaurant area, the bat area smelled like a dog kennel. So all in all, probably won't be eating there again! Shame

Gets full very quickly on an evening because of offers. Food was average and slow service due to few staff for a full pub. Probably wont rush back. Refurbished but TV's everywhere don't make for a family meal.

Fantastic food and a great selection of drinks. We came on a Wednesday and took advantage of their 2 for 1 burgers offer and shared a nachos for a starter. Can't wait to come back and take advantage of their other offers throughout the week.

Outstanding food and a good range of drinks. Friendly staff, fast service and reasonable prices. Visited this Wednesday night and took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer on burgers. Absolute bargain for great portions and quality. Pool table, lit up dart board, many TV screens (often show live sports apparently), great decor. Proper class pub, love the vibe and bits of local history on the walls. Looking forward to coming back again to take advantage of all the other daily offers!

A last minute decision to eat out yesterday took us for a walk to the Huntingtree, knowing it had been recently refurbished and keen to support a local pub. What a disappointment! The bar service was good enough, we ordered two drinks and studied the menu. Having made our choice we were then told there was no salad. (There are 3 different salads on the menu) Ok, so we asked for the green veg selection as a substitute, which was offered with other plates, and this was not possible because « it could not be keyed into the till » This is surely the height of intransigence. Key in salad and serve the veg, it’s not rocket science. What happened was that we left, ordering no food, but having paid for and therefore consumed drinks that we would not have ordered had we known we would not be eating there, walked to another pub serving food. We didn’t expect gourmet, just basic menu. We will not be giving the Huntingtree a second chance. Added on Tuesday 14 March Today I have spoken with Sarah, who wasn’t there on Sunday. Sarah is going to address the issue and we will give it a second chance !

Well after a very sad week booked a table for 6 o clock, 14 closest relatives.waited 2 hours for 4 of us and a toddler, repeatedly ran out of food and had to send the food back twice as sausage not cooked raw in the centre on a mixed grill, the girls were wonderful. however manager not on site,

Only been here once I did enjoy the meal I had got a get deal 2-4-1 on burgers on a Wednesday but did find the drinks expensive to what I normally pay

My girlfriend and I went here for a meal. Was Tod it had been refurbed by a friend who plays darts on a Monday night. The food was piping hot, lovely friendly atmosphere and great value for money. I would high recommend this pub for food……. You won’t be disappointed. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I so want this pub to succeed but they haven’t got it sorted. Stood at a bar that wasn’t tended for five minutes before being told. No sign so standing there like a spare part. Went to the other bar only one young woman working very hard another two standing like they did not want to be there. Left without being served after 10 minutes. Could be so much more.

Newly renovated, under new ownership, this is now a lovely pub. Sarah, the owner, is fab; very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and excellent value for money. Definitely recommend and will certainly return.

Had main and desserts here they completed all my fussy requests food tasted absolutely amazing and was presented so nice new chef lee is FAB 😍 would definitely recommend The Hunting Tree Halesowen !! Decor was so homely felt very at ease and relaxed at the Hunting Tree lovely and warm when we walked in out the cold.
