I don’t normally leave reviews but have seen some of the extremely rude and misogynistic comments posted recently. The girls who work here are nothing but lovely and work really hard in a very busy store. They always make time to acknowledge me and other customers and always remember my drink. ‘The American one’ as inappropriately described below, is always polite and friendly and I’m pretty sure it’s just a couple of professional complainers giving this place a bad name! Keep up the good work girls!

I waited for 10 minutes when i was the only person queueing because Kerry was too busy talking to her mate rather than serving me. Extremely unprofessional.

A americal sounding staff member ignored me consistently and wouldn't serve me

The drink was utterly terrible cold and wasn't strong staff was extremely rude and very disappointing

Very over priced compared to the greggs cafe opposite. Staff very unmotivated to serve or be pleasant.

No customer services at all at this costa. Staff never say hello and are rude. When you go to the counter the staff looks at you and say nothing no smile whatsoever. It happened several times. Food and atmosphere is alright. However they should train the staff on customer services. Disappointed

3,35 pm and you go for 3 coffees and are told we close at 4 you can only have takeaway, oh I had takeaway straight into Greggs

Did not put lid on coffee properly resulting in me spilling coffee all over my bed. Bag was soaked too.

Five stars for service as I didn't eat. Saturday morning at around 11ish, busy. The staff coped well. I like the arrangement here as the seating is arranged in the concourse of the shopping centre, giving an airy feel. It's like sitting in the open air, except you are not. I like it.

Daragh was , as always , pleasant, polite , efficient and friendly . All in all a nice way to start the day, as the staff are hardworking and helpful at all times - even under pressure !

Why pay these prices, don't tell me there is a cost of living crisis.

Coffee was not up to their usual standard

Love the new Maple Hazelnut drinks. We had two hot chocolates and a frappe. Sadly one of the hot chocolates was missing the plastic cover they put under the lid to stop it leaking so it had gone everywhere and lost all of the chocolate dusting which was supposed to be on top 😔 Still tasted good though 🙂

Waited at least 15 minutes for 2 drinks and they mixed up my order

Nothing special a weird set up the you buy coffee then go out into the shopping centre to consume.

Love this costa, the staff are super helpful and friendly,nice comfy chairs for when you've been shopping and need a cuppa,and a nice selection of food. We'll done Costa.

Awful service at this Costa, the manager Darrah, couldn’t be any more uninterested in serving us if he tried, no please no thank you and his staff were equally as rude. Not even offering sprinkles on the cappuccino, we actually had to ask for them. It’s a shambles of a site and needs a change of staff.

Went here because Greg's was closed, left my partner in queue while I went toilet then shopped and still hadn't been served. All in all a bit slow putting it politely

Bad customer service a man with a mullet black hair and glasses came over and kicked me and my friend out when we was looking for a seat after buying a drink and my friends younger sibling got very upset and had to take her home which ruined our day out after celebrating her SAT practice tests 😡

The woman with white short hair, that had a male looking hair cut and glasses was very rude and approached me and my friends telling us to leave immediately because we didn’t purchase anything. Her tone was not appreciated and its how she stood there telling us to go.

As is the usual with any Costa the staff are excellent the coffee is always well made. Though let's be honest the prices really are too high for the tea the coffee etc. Though people will pay it. Not for me though I understand why it is popular. If you like to sit and have a coffee then it is well worth visiting.

I have only marked as 4 star, as despite asking for my latte to be hot, it wasn't! Otherwise, a pleasant place to sit and have coffee.

Wonderful service. Staff are always very friendly and chatty. And coffee of course is always great :) They are working super hard considering being low staff. I have worked in coffee shops and I know the pressure the staff can be under. Keep up the good work everyone :)

Had a coffee and slice of cake. The coffee was luke warm and the cake was dry again. The place always looks dirty and understaffed. Really bad for the prices charged.

Fantastic service, the ladies offered me an alternative hot chocolate due to being lactose intolerant, with that it tasted great. Thank you so much

I go to this store with my daughters and their Nan every few weeks, the last few visits behind the coffee machine is disgusting covered in chocolate powder, tables dirty staff look miserable but today was the worst by far first the marshmallows looked r like they had been stepped on and put back in the jar, they tried to put them on my daughters plates with there babychinos when I asked for them to be taken off and they would have flakes as I’m not allowing them to eat them ones the shift manager picked them up and through them across the bar toward the bin quite aggressive, secondly when asked if we was sitting in I said yes but please can we have them in take away cups as the children prefer them but there other lady started to put them in cups I said I asked for them in takeaway she pulled her face and sighed started slamming, pulled the flakes off the plates and slammed them on the tray so their Nan pulled the plates back and said we are dying in we just want take away cups please o told them your customer service is disgusting on this store then the manager started being rude with numerous comments. Worst costa I’ve ever been and will not be returning

We won't be going again. For the second week running staff unable to use the dishwasher so drinks served in takeaway cups. No coffee as the machine was being serviced. Not the fault of the staff but we've had enough

Darragh is friendly, pleasant, helpful and polite at all times. All the staff at this Costa are brilliant and work really hard at all times especially under pressure .

We came here this morning for a coffee and was served by a lovely gentleman called Darragh. (i think i spelled that right) He was so polite and friendly and made us laugh. Thank you for making our silly little friday morning coffee get together enjoyable :)

Plenty of staff serving so wait time not too long. Lots of seating with tables but tables were not cleared and cleaned often enough. Saying that most people threw their own rubbish away

Coffee scalding hot, asked for a cardboard holder and didn't have them. Asked for another cup so I could hold drink and I got a frown. Even then I had to keep swapping hands as it was burning through two cups

Walked out after 20 minutes, they seemed more interested in online orders than serving customers in shop, won't bother again, disgusting 😑

Terrible service, left standing at till for a long time as half of my order had been forgotten and staff decided to go off cleaning tables and talking to other customers and her colleague started serving customers behind me. Cake was terrible, tasted like stale play doh and coffee was not the normal Costa standard.

Understaffed today (Saturday), so a little slow in serving, can't be helped though. Despite a few complaints about the service today, I think these guys are doing a great job, under sometimes very difficult circumstances. I just wished sometimes that people would be a little more considerate towards the staff. Costa outlets are always busy, so when 3 or 4 members are off sick, then that inadvertently puts tremendous strain on the staff. If only 1 guy is preparing all the drinks, and another taking customer orders, it's hardly surprising that the service is slow. It's common sense guys, so I say give these guys a break, they are only human. And these guys at the corn bow in Halesowen are extremely kind and courteous, so as customers we should echo this sentiment.

Good customer service and staff try there best but when your queuing for like 15 minutes for coffee it's ridiculous. Just put more staff of at weekends. The amount of people who walked out of the queue was crazy. Also advertising products that you haven't had in for months is a joke.

Good coffee. Staff are always good. Only one negative experience but haven't seen her since and don't remember her name. Sometimes can't get a seat that we can fit in with the pram so if seating isn't an option so we go elsewhere.

Very poor gluten free range. Paid £4+for the tiniest pot of beans, hallumi, spinach and mushrooms as there was absolutely no other choice and i needed to eat. Staff even made fun of how poor it was infront of us and then couldn't find us in their seated area

Coffee amazing!! Had the gingerbread Latte' Should be on the menu all year round!!! One thing i would say is that they need someone manning the till continously, as its a long wait!!
