Standard pub food. Nice. Staff are great

Nice lunch time meal, service a little slow, but not a problem unless you are on a break from work and are time limited, nice atmosphere ,fairly busy for a Thursday

Been coming to this pub/restaurant for years, however now is the best its ever been. The staff are amazing however 1 in particular, she makes us feel welcome everytime. Her name is vicky. Nothing is ever any trouble for her. Top girl and top bar maid.

Amazing food. Long journey from scotland and stopped in on our return journey, staff were friendly, prices are reasonable compared to other places within the same area. The food was amazing, faultless. Will definetly revist again.

Very warm welcome. Excellent spotlessly clean We were booked in at 12.30 for Christmas Day Dinner. When we arrived we were greeted and seated very promptly. We were asked if we wanted our starters immediately or if we would like to wait for a few moments to settle in first. We chose the first option and the starters arrived in a timely manner. All subsequent dishes arrived after exactly the correct amount of time to savour the previous dishes arrived. The food quality and the quantity was undeniably excellent as was the demeanor of all the staff who were working in a very busy environment. Everyone was polite and cheerful and a pleasure to be around. 10/10 this provided us with the ultimate customer experience. We will without hesitation book again for Christmas Day Dinner. Fabulous you should be very proud of everyone and everything. Thank you. with a good diverse menu not just all the old pub staples but really tempting dishes. Care and attention paid to a prompt delivery of perfectly cooked food. The management are very hands on and do their utmost to offer the best customer experience.

Tiny portions for £15 each main course, 2 wafer thin slices of turkey 1 of which was 1/2 fat - yuk yuk and yuk again. Never visit again !

Booked a table for my mothers 87th Birthday. I decided to give them a call ahead to see if there was something they could put on the table for her just to make it a bit more special as mom is also disabled so not able to get out very often. I spoke to a member of staff called Matt. I explained it was my mom’s birthday and I asked if there was something they could put on the table and he hesitated and replied in what respect ? I said I don’t know maybe a little balloon he said no sorry we don’t do that. I felt his attitude was a little poor and he came across sarcastic in all honesty and just didn’t want to help and make the visit more special for my mom. I am pretty sure they could have put something on the table even just a little decoration I even offered to pay and to be honest I was tempted to cancel the booking and go elsewhere as never known a pub/restaurant not willing to make someone’s birthday visit just that extra bit special. Especially a lady of 87!!! We decided to go as have been visiting and having deliveries from here for a few years now and always received good service and excellent food. However of late I do feel the standards are slipping. I had gammon and turkey my mom had the turkey and to be honest it was just ok nothing to write home about. 2 roast potatoes and not a great selection of vegetables at all just cabbage and carrots. I did eat it all as I was so hungry but mom left a lot of hers. The waitress serving didn’t once smile and when she brought us our cheesecake desserts they were just plonked on the table and we were handed a spoon which was not wrapped in a serviette and mine had food all up the handle I had to get a wet wipe and clean it off as there was no staff member in sight. We were also not given forks which you should have with a cheesecake. The place just does not have the same welcoming feel to it anymore the standard of service and food has definitely slipped and at 2pm I was very surprised as normally this is a very busy pub but there were not many in at all. I think I will be giving this place a wide berth for a while in all honesty there are plenty more pub/restaurants in the area with better food and service who will always go out of their way to make someone’s special day that bit more special!!

Excellent meal, cooked to perfection and lovely presentation. Followed by brilliant entertainment, the singer was fab, a pleasure to listen to. Atmosphere was great throughout the night. Well done Foley Arms

Great atmosphere, excellent food, all the staff really helpful, happy, friendly and professional. In particular Richard and John who were particularly helpful and friendly they went the extra mile. Well done a great Christmas meal night out for our club catered for 17 people. Thank you we will be back.

I can't comment on the food as I met with friends for drinks, however, the pub was busy with a great atmosphere. I hadn't been for years, but not much had changed in terms of decor or facilities. Lots of parking, friendly staff and efficient service.

Not been here for a while.starter was very nice .dessert very nice .main meals o dear chips cold prawns over cooked.turkey cold on the Christmas Dinner.very disappointed we were looking forward to it but feel let down .did tell two members of staff but got the impression they were not interested.

Came in for Sunday Lunch yesterday with the family after being recommending this place by a friend, the staff were friendly and helpful especially Matt (i think he was the manager), food came out quickly and piping hot, all of the family enjoyed our food and we will be visiting again before Christmas :)

Had some fantastic customer service from Vicky - I lost something that was very valuable to me and she not only kept it safe, but reached out to me and saved me a lot of stress. This is a good example of how the staff at the Foley go above and beyond. Would strongly recommend.

Firstly I have been here quite often with my husband and friends and food was good...Sunday lunch this time....A practice in layman's terms for the festive or Christmas lunch....all I can say is the turkey and gravy quite nice...vegetables well? Undercooked from aldante even and some stone cold...roast potatoes anaemic..very disappointing for the price...desserts however pricey but nice...Will not be back again for Sunday lunch or even festive menu..needs improving.

Went for the great value 3 courses for £11.99 (as priced in October 2024) The food was amazing and certainly worth it. You'd pay more to eat in wetherspoons these days. But the folly arms food is 100 times better.

We have always loved the foley arms, but we visited for a Sunday roast and it was disappointing.. it came out within 5 minutes, could tell the items had been standing all day/re heated as it was all so dry, the 2 potatoes we had were inedible, the beef dry as a bone and lack of anything else. Just a tablespoon of greens. We always recommend this place which is a shame

Ok for a quick meal but nothing special, would go again if I was in the area !

I phoned earlier in the day to change the number of guests however when we arrived the booking had not been amended and so we had to wait for an extra chair. Sea bass was lovely but potatoes needed more cooking. No complaints with the ultimate burger or the half a chicken. The chicken, bacon and avocado salad had only 1 piece of avocado and only 4 shreds of bacon. Plenty of chicken

Although the place is fine I received a parking fine 2 years after had visited this place. I visited this pub on 10/08/2022 and I received a letter from Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd on 03/10/2024! How pathetic! I would have checked in on their monitor if they had one and I parked in a disabled spot due to my disability. The Foley Arms aren’t bothered however, I am glad I never went there again. Stay away as their parking scheme is in use.

Great pub, great atmosphere, great staff. A must if in the area!

Had ultimate burger a week ago and was fantastic. This evening the burger had been reheated in microwave with salad on it. Complained who said he would speak to chef and blatantly ignored us. I had to speak to manager who also appeared not bothered . Overall disappointing. No one seems to care. Shame as generally be ok as been average and decent for a while.

Called and cancelled our booking with less than 3 hours notice. Not really very professional.

Generally poor all round unfortunately. The beer on draft isn’t looked after (Camden Hells) tasted like lines needed cleaning to the point I didn’t drink it. Food was poor. Brown avocado was served up. I would question the chef would you eat that? The grains in the grain salad consisted of a tea spoon with a huge bowl of lettuce so was very hungry afterwards. The toilets were an absolute mess, reminiscent of an old Andrex advert with loo roll everywhere, despite the signs saying they are checked regularly. The staff were friendly enough though so hence the 2stars.

Visited Sunday with my partner and two children, considering it was a Sunday, the restaurant was quite quiet and we didn’t need to pre-book. Service was great food didn’t take long to come out, I was impressed. I went for the beef rib roast dinner, would highly recommend. Will return 👍🏻

Great service all over. Even better to know that with Sunday roast the meal is not automatically swamped in gravy but gravy is served in a Jug. IMPROVEMENT POINT none of the Ember Inns never have GF buns so diners can NEVER order a burger - just about the most popular item for youngsters. FYI Greene King pubs stock FROZEN buns so only have to defrost on demand. SIMPLES!!

Ordered 2 coffees with someone who appeared to be in management . Not busy . 10 minutes later no coffees member of staff had disappeared . Thought she may if asked colleague to do them 20 min had passed had to ask at bar for them again server knew nothing apologised and did them straight away and brought them over could teach the higher member of staff a thing or too it appears

Great place to eat with a warm welcome. Reasonably priced menu. We were seated quite quickly and our food order taken soon after. Our food came out hot and we all enjoyed what we’d ordered.

Two of us went recently for Sunday lunch; it was our first visit. Staff were friendly and helpful and mushroom starter was lovely but we were not so happy with the roast rib of beef with yorkshire pudding. It was tasty enough but there were very few vegetables - three roast potatoes, no mash, tiny bit of cabbage and a few diced parsnips. All in all, not good value for money so will not revisit.

Lovely afternoon lunch. Served by Johnny who was a star - especially the dancing! Excellent food as usual. It was a hot afternoon but the pub was cool and welcoming. Staff were attentive and food was delivered quickly. All tables had been cleaned and the pub was clean and tidy.

Lovely evening, staff are friendly and efficient, shoutout to Beth as she's always got a big smile and nothing is too much trouble. Food was delicious.

Pudding (chocolate fudge cake with custard) was a bit bland but main course (barbeque chicken) was excellent.

Plenty of seating but can get busy. Lots of food choice. Decor could do with upgrade but standard for a large chain.

I went on a Sunday and had the gammon Sunday lunch from the menu. The staff were very helpful, especially with my food allergies, but the food itself was not very good. The gammon was very fatty and the vegetables were hard in places. Others at my table had things not from the Sunday lunch menu which they described as being really good, especially the fish and chips. I wish, on reflection, that I had ordered this too.

Absolutely dreadful! Ordered veggie option lasagne arrived like collapsed chapati, no sauce whatsoever very little taste, admittedly they were busy with election voters but to send that out of the kitchen inedible? I think Witherspoon s is a better option certainly needless to say I'll not be back.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the team there we so friendly, helpful and gave "the best" service. Highly recommend.

First visit, food arrived promptly staff polite, good value for money. However needs a good makeover, very grubby, table reserved for us was dirty, had to ask for it to be cleaned even though a staff member must have seen the state of it when the reserved notice was placed on it.

Good to find a pub open on a Monday let alone decent food all day. We'll done the Foley Ams!!

Food was typical pub grub but not very exciting. Service was poor. You order at the bar and have to say there and then if you want a dessert, and staff then bring it to the table. The waiting staff not friendly, very blunt when putting meal on the table and then we did not see them again.

We popped in off the cuff and literally had 15 mins to order before the kitchen closed. I did not feel rushed though. We chose steak and it was cooked to perfection and definitely did not feel like we were the last meal of the day. Great customer service and will pop back again.
