Cobham Arms in Dudley

Attended reception after a funeral nearby and was really impressed with this pub. We call to arrange an event and staff member reassured us there were three areas for dining and outside if the weather was good. Because we weren’t sure of numbers we turned up and easily found an area even though the pub was busier than expected and as the weather was beautiful we hovered inside and outside. I had a veggie burger which was highly recommended by other guests and it was made from cauliflower and very tasty as were the fries. Those that ordered fish & chips were very impressed with the portion sizes and quality of the fish. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful and the prices were reasonable. The loos were clean and the atmosphere really nice. Unfortunately I was enjoying myself so much I didn’t take photos but this is a great venue for receptions after funerals at Quinton Cemetry.

Went here on a Saturday lunch time for some food, the lady on the bar was incredibly friendly and hard working, unfortunately I never caught her name but she made everyone feel welcome. The drinks were good and a decent price which is always nice. The food was nice too, I had the hunters chicken which was well prepared and once again the lady on the bar wasted no time making sure I had everything I needed. (It was quiet as it was a Saturday at 12 so I can’t comment on the atmosphere too much but everyone seemed at ease and happy)

My experience at the Cobham arms was second to none, and would highly recommend it to anyone, the food was excellent, the staff and management are really friendly, and run the pub the way a pub should be run.

Having dined at the Cobham Arms many times,I have always found the food,service and staff to be excellent...all round a very nice pub for a drink and a lovely pub to dine in.

No dogs please in eating areas. Barking was distracting

The so called ‘owner’ (blonde women) was so rude and wanted to argue to fact the food is horrible! Small portions and food generally tasted nasty. If I could give this pub 0 stars I would. Honestly the WORST PUB I’VE BEEN TOO. Would NOT RECOMMEND

Popped in on way home from shopping had chicken and bacon club sandwich, was absolutely delicious. Hubby had steak which he said was amazing. BEen a few times and always great service, great staff and great food. Definitely going back.

Very friendly pub, always go there with the family for food and drinks. Staff are very welcoming and always remember faces and create good relationships with customers.

Lovely place, unfortunately was told by a member of staff to go home as child was upset, and coming from a family pub don't think it's the right course of action to take. Other than that everything fine.

Went last week for christmas menu ,had a lovely 3 courses for 22 pound ,service was great ,food was served really hot ,everyone enjoyed it ,no complaints, 2nd year of having our christmas meal Thank you

Great atmosphere, great food for those who want to eat, good quality drinks. Not too quiet nor gets too busy. It’s just right. Friendly staff and great interior although it needs a bit TLC. The pavement at the front is uneven and wobbly so not great if you have a visual impairment or physical limitations and the light bulb in the ladies is not working. Otherwise all great.

Good local friendly pub serving decent food & drink for reasonable price. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. Good entertainment weekly. Would recommend.

A cracking little family boozer , the bar staff are so friendly and welcoming, the chef excels with his dishes and the bonus is he’s a top lad, the Guinness is the best around . Give the pub a try I am sure you will be pleased and definitely return

Well my local the atmosphere is fabulous ,nice people but the food ,very disappointing as very small portions ,and high prices for very little , the Sunday lunch ,was awful with frozen roast potatoes weird tasting and was just thrown together, the meat was not cut from a joint ,it was brought in ready sliced , such a shame do not waste your hard earned money on utter rubbish ,sadly the people who now run have let the meals slide ,when back in 2021 they were great ,never returning again

What a great Pub and Staff , with a proppa Bar with a pool table too. The locals were very friendly had a great time , we will be going back.

We had a great evening at the Cobham Arms on Saturday, there were a group of us celebrating a number of our friends birthdays and we were made to feel very welcome by Danni & Mark who have recently took it over apparently... it's a lovely big cosy pub with a separate bar area, a big lounge area where the food is served, and nice grounds for when the weather is better. I noticed it was dog friendly too which will suit dog owners. The bar area has plenty of seating & has a pool table, darts board etc... as well, plenty to keep you entertained! The food was good quality with generous portions, & reasonably priced. Despite it being busy we didn't have to wait to be served drinks at any stage all night either which was great, nothing worse than spending all your time in a queue at the bar. If you're in the area give it a try, you'll not be disappointed, we really enjoyed it & we'll certainly be back when we're over that way again. Thanks for a great night!

Great food, attentive staff, great pub.

Busy Friday evening. Our large party was well catered for and everyone had a good evening. Food was good quality, took a while to arrive but obviously a really busy time there. Staff were really accommodating and friendly.

Have visited The Cobham a few times now and can not fault it. The staff very friendly and service is great. Had a meal on one of the visit, very good value for money. One of very few places you can call a pub, keep up the good work. 👍

I went to vist my friend for the weekend came across this pub it looked lovely from the outside so we decided that we would pop in for a drink. The inside looked amazing clean and tidy lots of space was greeted by the lovely landlady such a delightful women. Only went in for 1 drink spent most of the afternoon there. The food was really good aswell I've never really been somewhere new and felt so welcome will definitely be returning again when visiting My friend again. If anyone is in the area this is a pub to go to

Lovely food, fish and chips was delicious! The pub is lovely and clean and the lady behind the bar was very polite and welcoming, found out it’s under new management recently, there doing a great job will return for sure.

Omg just popped in for a drink and decided to have food ... chose the surf and turf and it was sooooo nice steak was cooked too perfection new tenants and chef are really putting the food on the table good

We went in on sunday for a family meal, the food was delicious and quick.the tables were clean and so were menus(which is a petpeeve of mine in other pubs when dirty) Is a nice little pub/resturant with new management can see this place coming to life again. Would visit again as all of us including my child enjoyed the food!

Lovely little pub with great food, the new chef is doing great job, Sunday roast is the best pub roast I’ve ever had. New management have recently taken over and have done a great job with cleaning the place up. Family friendly and will definitely be returning.

Quite efficient serving meals for 11 people. Battered cod was 50% batter although it filled the plate covering most of the chips. Rump steak excellent. Curry good. Lasagne good. Kids meals more than adequate. Bit tardy collecting plates and didn’t do a food check. Served dessert with a bent spoon.

Place was quiet when we arrived but welcoming. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was good value for what we paid and the drink was excellent and had been well kept. Not been to the Cobham for many years but went on friends recommendation and was not disappointed.

Went here for a family event, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Food was excellent and reasonable priced, everyone had nothing but kind words to say about the pub. Drinks were excellent value and staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Will be coming back soon!

Regulars at the Cobham.This pub is a blast from the past and run the way all pubs should be run.The team who all are excellent make all customers welcome and bring a real family atmosphere which reflects on all the regulars and new comers.Great food/drinks fantastic garden area and great for all animal lovers as they are also invited.Keep doing what your doing as eventually others may learn and take on board this attitude. Lovely staff great food , definitely return

Celebrated my son’s christening here a few weeks back. Had such a great day. The staff were all soooo friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. The buffet was amazing and they decorated the pub perfectly. They made our day extra special and could not be more grateful. Highly recommend

Very well ran Pub with friendly staff who looked after us well, good selection of alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, sat outside in the lovely beer garden as it was nice day. Will definitely be going back when i'm next in the area.

I have been going to this pub for a couple of years' and have always found Rhian and Euan both friendly and always approachable. The beer is always great, I have never had to take a drink back. They also allow dogs into the pub and even provide a doggie dinner which I find really great for a pub. The place is always clean and very comfortable and the food is great and good value for money. This place will not be the same if they leave as I do not think anyone else will be as amicable and welcoming as they are, I think both Rhian and Euan and the rest of their family are fantastic hosts.

Manage rude! I'm soo glad found this! Food poisoned ( be careful!) afford new manger lol ...you'll getxra customers ! Be visiting Years but not I won't be, pass until new Manager takes over! polgies, was bad for 7 days thanks

Avoid! Called off here on our way to the Cotswolds to break up the journey as the reviews came up really good. As soon as we walked in the pub there was a musty smell in the pub, tables were sticky, toilets had a vile smell and I could go on. We spent £50 on food and drink and wasn’t impressed at all. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare, could still hear the cow mooing - we sent it back and the same again. I never usually leave reviews (especially bad ones) however after having read how good this place was we was left extremely disappointed and £50 down for something that really wasn’t worth that! We didn’t say anything at the time as the young lad behind the bar was pleasant enough and didn’t feel fair that he would get the negative feedback and we was in a hurry to crack on with our journey. Needs a good scrub and the chef needs some steak lessons.

Great traditional local pub located in the Lapal area of Halesowen. The staff are amazing and the locals equally as wonderful :-) Highly recommend the food.

Had my husbands wake here today and Rhian and her team; including her mum put on a lovely spread. There was plenty of food, it was presented lovely and tasted delicious. Rhian put us in a private room which was perfect. The barman was great, he looked after us (sorry I didn't get his name), nothing was too much trouble. The whole team helped us give my hubby a good send off, thank you so much Rhian. So, if you visit the pub you're sure to get a genuine warm welcome even if you're from out of town (my hubby was a Brummie though he had moved up to Yorkshire to be with me).
