Quick efficient service and service with a smile. Food/carvery was superb. We will be back. Definitely our new local!

A great historic pub that is once again on the up. They’ve recently reintroduced the Wednesday carvery for £7.79 and it beats all carveries in the area - it was delicious. The food in general is excellent with service to match. Definitely worth a visit if you’ve not been in before or recently.

Gave a 5 star review when I came in under the last gaffers. Came in this evening. Went into the bar. I was the only one at the bar, the same bar person walked.past me three times in the 5 minutes I was stood there and never acknowledged me. I walked out in the end. The industry is struggling atm, I'm glad they can lose customers

It's old but has big booths for groups and chairs for a few cosy drinks

Staff are lovely, food is great, and every Thursday there’s a quiz which leads to some great laughs. Highly recommend.

Very quiet lunchtime, we were alone! Food and service were quick, friendly and excellent.

Superb community pub with great staff, food delicious and prices fair.

Lovely dog friendly pub, friendly staff and quick service. Pool table and darts available, and children can have a game of pool with an adult, which is great for my son as he loves it. Food was good and tasty, the pie was especially nice.

Food was excellent and staff very helpful,special has my daughter has special needs they go out of there away to make her feel comfortable.

Great service delivered with a smile. Made to feel very welcome with the bar staff always being happy to have a chat with you.

We have been for a meal a few times, but when we came yesterday it was so much better , the food was nicer, the room was brighter etc and the staff was really friendly ,

the owners are very unfriendly had bad experience there today have been going there for 20 years will mot be returning

Lovely once our local pub, we was there for a wake but the staff are very friendly and they set out a lovely buffet.

Lovely food had a burger, barmaid Emily was lovely and had exceptional manners, would come again.

Father's Day didn't disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed my Surf &Turf , my wife enjoyed her Sirloin both cooked to perfection. My three boys enjoyed their cheeseburgers and Nachos sharer. Great Desserts too with their specials Lemon Tart, brownies and Rocky Road Sundaes went down a storm !! Get down to the Fairfield soon you won't be disappointed. Offers available on their website. New owners and bar staff in our experience are lovely, friendly, kind and greet us with a smile. We come here as a family regularly to eat, It can be quiet at times but we like the warm atmosphere and cosy decor. Our food and service has been great on the occasions we have been here and the pub itself is child friendly with children welcome until 9pm. The staff have been kind enough to accommodate my fussy eating 8 year old daughter which I very much appreciate as this is the only place she will eat a full meal out. We really hope that the new owners and staff can pull in the customers they deserve and bring the pub back to the thriving establishment it should be. Many local pubs around the area have closed, we should be visiting and supporting our locals if we want to keep them around. Wishing you the best of luck, thanks for a wonderful service.

My second visit to this pub and again had a great experience. Really felt the need to leave another review. Mid week so quiet but staff very friendly. Ordered food that came out quickly, the food was hot and delicious. Could not fault the service / food. 5🌟 from me

hi I'm a regular to this pub and I've sat drinking watching this pub go down and down no entertainment owner's interrupting me and my friends constantly harassing and listening to our conversations now I'm now told I can't drink in this pub my local. because owner's heard someone say how bad and run down it's got. told to leave for a private conversation owner's listening in on. it's empty if people go in this pub be careful not to be run out by owner's for no effective reason you can be told to leave if you say something in a private conversation with friends

Met friends there quite a long wait for food midweek with only 3 other families there. I had rump steak medium rare which spoilt it a bit for me but it was a good steak tender . I think it had just been left under the heater for a while as my steak knife was too hot to handle and peas started to dry. Hubby had steak and ale pie which was only £1 less than mine.said it was good Chips were really nice crispy and not greasy. It was plenty for me but for a big eater I think they would be disappointed. Overall I'd go again as we had a nice evening with friends

I didn't find my experience very good at the Fairfield Inn it took three bar staff 10 minutes to make for drinks. We ordered food three of the meals were ok I ordered two stakes medium rare got one medium rare any other one well done would have asked them to change it but it took an hour to get those don't know what the hold it was there was only about 8 people in the restaurant don't think I'll go back again

We have family that live in Halesowen and a visit to the Fairfield is a must do every time we are there. The owners are so hospitable and make you feel immediately at home. The service is quick, efficient, and friendly. Could not ask for more from a local establishment.

We have been using this pub for over 40 years. Marcus and Paul are 2 of the best Landlords we have seen in this place. Nothing is too much trouble. Quiz night is always a good night. We attend every Friday and Saturday night as couples with friends. We will continue to use the pub while ever Marcus and Paul will be there!

I’ve never walked into a pub and felt so welcome!! Recently moved to the area and heard good things about this place, the Sunday carvery tempted me in all honesty. Don’t drink or eat anywhere else now!! The 2 landlords Marcus and Paul welcome you like an old friend, Phoebe knows exactly how to engage with customers and is clearly a very experienced bar woman and Ali is such a lovely person to talk to. I can’t ever recall knowing any staffs name in previous pubs I’ve drank in, but here they welcome you and make the effort to engage. Feel so welcomed into the area already just from popping in here for a Sunday dinner. Keep it up guys, a great team and a great environment you’ve got going on x

Visited last week with my partner, had a lovely meal, staff are very friendly, definitely will be going back there.

The staff are incredibly rude the prices are sky high the food finally arrived and it was a joke it was half cooked i left most of it

So, here's a really honest review. Sitting at home in B31 near Northfield I googled dog friendly pubs, saw this pub. Drove about 5 miles, near Oldbury, with my little dog in tow. First impressions count! Plenty of parking, really friendly welcoming staff, I had a delicious steak and ale pie with perfect chips. The staff made a fuss of my little dog, special mention to the staff member Daisy who fussed over my dog, also named Daisy. Fast service, nice glass of wine, relaxed atmosphere. Super! I will be returning. A good, honest, welcoming pub with nice food at a fair price. Thank you 😊

Popped into the bar with dog we had hunters chicken which was overcooked and dry I had burger the bun seemed like it had been dinged dry and hard at the bottom they bought us no cutlery or serviettes co.plained to the girl I know the manager was there but he walked off

Lovely pub, went for the quiz night on Thursday great fun, only £2 a team, 3 round. They also played open the box and play your cards right. Great entertainment for everyone

despite a private function in the lounge our first visit into the bar was excellent. Speedy service was followed by superb food. Lovely warm, friendly atmosphere. Our lovely local has been rescued . Highly recommend.

Been using the Fairfield for about 18 months now and honestly the new owners are brilliant!! The food is always lovelly and hot! The lads keep a lovely pint and you always get a warm welcome from them and the girls behind the bar! All I can say is, it's the Fairfield! Has had some money spent and looks nice inside.

Food was lovely, I had a very tasty lasagna and my mom scampi with chips. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely and warm with custard. Only downside was it was cold in the pub. Need to put the heating on!!

Up from the wirral visiting family, delicious carvery all home cooked, well worth the money. Nice staff ,facilities immaculate. Highly recommended

New owners better food. Ventured back in the the Fairfield to try the food. Would recommend to all, a selection of drinks and food all with friendly service. Disappointed with the food on the past? If so, time to give it another go. We'll worth a visit and to support the pub.

Went for a carvery with family on a Sunday, food was great quality for the prices! Staff was very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend trying this place out locally for food and drinks, nice atmosphere as well very calm and relaxed. See you soon!

Excellent! Staff very friendly, myself and my partner had a meal, I am fussy! I know it’s pub grub, and I couldn’t fault it one bit! I ate it all, which is unusual. I had the steak and ale pie, extremely tasty! Could smell/taste the ale! plenty of filling, lovely pastry, chips were lovely and crispy even the peas were tasty! My partner had the ultimate southern fried burger and thoroughly enjoyed it, the gravy was lovely and he also loved the crispy chips! So much better than when we tried this place before. As a fussy person (with food!) I would honestly recommend that you give this place and the new owners your custom, you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely be back, thank you guys and I wish you well in getting the lovely Fairfield back on the map! See you soon!

This was the first we've been in Fairfield for 4 years as we we're banned in 2019 by whoever was in charge of Fairfield for no reason. New management were friendly and welcoming pub seemed back to normal self warm and happy atmosphere. People we spoke to who remembered us said nice to see you back where you belong,that was pleasant to ear ,we wish the new management all the success in their time at Fairfield Inn

Booked for carvery today for three and have to say it was lovely, nothing on my plate I could complain about. The new people are doing a wonderful job of getting this family pub back on track. It was so nice to see the lounge packed on a Sunday lunchtime again, it was such a nice atmosphere today. Finally got our local back. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard.

New managers have taken over, and everything has been improved. They are friendly and professional and have lots of ideas.. the food is served well and cooked beautifully. Definitely recommend a visit

We've both enjoyed a very nice meal at The Fairfield today. Nice mixed grill & Scampi & Chips. It's great to see this local pub doing well again. It's clear it's now being managed by people with a determination to succeed. It's starting to feel like the Fairfield of old.

We have been coming to the Fairfield for over twenty years. After a dim period in its history its new managers are doing it proud. A tasty carvery today at a fair price. Everything was fresh and piping hot with a good range of veg. I was amazed at the quality of the beef. Well done which I love and tender and tasty. We will be back!

It was my first visit to the Fairfield Inn and I was really pleased. The staff are all very friendly with a good selection of beers available. There was a carvery on but I didn't have time to try it. I definitely will next time though - it looked nice.

The fairfield is amazing, been coming here for the last 3 years and since Wendy and Mike took it over its totally turned around, the standards now are phenomenal, can not fault the management at at all, they have changed the pub around providing brilliant entertainment and customer service, even making strangers feeling welcome. The place feels like a second home to me, I enjoy going there after work for a few drinks everyday and a chat with the locals and the amazing staff.

I was greeted by Wendy and Mike with the upmost welcome as always, they came out their way to talk to me and ask me about my day as they always do, giving a welcome feel. I came here tonight for a few hours during a pool match, lovely atmosphere and a great crowd to be around, so much better now, they've really turned the pub around since Matt had it. It's disgusting that you are not offering them both the lease to this pub when they are doing such an amazing job. They have an absolutely amazing relationship with the customers that come in here, particularly the locals which are the people that keep your pubs alive. I really do hope you think about these two taking on the pub properly, they are both amazing people and put on good entertainment which is a bonus for me and many many others around here, although your a Marston's and do food, I have lived around here for many years and have never seen this pub as a place to go for a bite to eat, it's always about the people, entertainment and the atmosphere which in my opinion is the best it's been in a very long time. Both Wendy and Mike have an absolute heart of gold, they actually care about the pub and the people that come in it, one of the best landlords and landladys this pub has had. You'd be losing a gem.

Ive been coming to the fairfields now for a few weeks and in this time i have had the friendliest experience with all staff especially the management Wendy and Mike and when i found they were leaving this was rather upsetting as this is the most comfortable and welcoming pub experience ive had in my life the food is gorgeous the drink is varied and nice the staff are polite and serve you in great time and i could never recommend a place more than this. The fairfields is a five star for comfort, friendliness, food and overall service the regular customers here are polite and nice as well and i will return here regularly and make the most of the time the current management is here and can only hope that the future of th Fairfields can live up to their standard.

Food is exceptional and Wendy and Mike are great management. Started coming in here as I had heard how friendly it was and the food reviews were excellent, I must admit the food is fantastic and Wendy and Mike really made me feel at home , i drink thatchers haze and it is lovely and served in a cold glass which makes the drink more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this pub just a shame they are advertising for new management as I feel Wendy as really turned the pub around from it was with the last couple of managers .

We visited as a family of 4 to celebrate mother's day and had a wonderful meal, there was plenty of fresh meat and a lovely choice of vegetables. The Parsnips were the best we've ever had and loved that we could add extra cheese sauce. The staff were so lovely and friendly and helped to make our visit very special. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommended thank you 😊

Came down to the Fairfield on a Wednesday night, to try the curry night on their new menu. The food was lovely and well presented. Perfect pub grub👍, the young man behind the bar, Will, was very welcoming and made our visit very homely, by being kind and having a laugh with us. We will be going again to try other daily deals and events.

I stopped coming here because of previous owners and how they let the pub down but Wendy has came along and put her heart and soul into what once was a great pub , i can honestly say now it is back to how it once was but only now with more or a homely spark , quality drinks at a reasonable price and a family friendly atmosphere , i now consider this to be my local once again . Would absolutely recommend for anybody looking for that good old atmosphere

Good food, prompt service, quality pint, free pool on Wednesday. Big bar, 2 dart boards in their own specific areas. Spot on.
