Lovely little cafe! Great food & coffee, friendly staff :) enjoyed our homemade soup at this cute little cafe! Also a little sweet shop inside.

Lovely hotel, a real labour of love to restore a beautiful building. Staff very helpful and welcoming, rooms spacious and well appointed.

Clean cafe, friendly staff, freshly cooked breakfast to order, reasonably priced.

The village cafe offer so much, be it breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake. The staff are excellent and friendly, service is first class. Our visits here started as a once a week meeting now our friends meet us here, only today we went to another cafe and they requested we meet next week at the Village Cafe, it’s a place loved by all. Well done to Charlotte and her team, keep up the good work 😊

Nice and clean chippy for and change, food not too greasy either, good portions of chips 👍

The shop closed last year, she used to be onlinel, drive past alot, it is shut.

Came down for a spontaneous Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. The meal was really well cooked and great value for money. Chris was really attentive and helpful, especially as we had a little one with us.

Probamos el nuevo menú esta noche. Mi hija tomó la boloñesa de espagueti de más de 6 con construir su propio helado y un brote de fruta. Mi esposa fue por la vieja hamburguesa de carne fiel. Fui por la nueva comida de cerdo. Todos eran deliciosos y bien vale la pena el dinero. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos por Carla, el servicio era maravilloso. Sin duda volveremos.

Would highly recommend The Old Shepherd, excellent food, service is superb. Staff are friendly and always go the extra mile. Looking forward to my next visit.

We like it here but the quality of food used to be better a few years ago so I have took one star off.

Absolutely not worth anything Yh the waffle was nice but they bumped us with portions and the way they gave it only good for hing was got four tubs out of it
