A very mixed bag here. There were 15 in our group. Most meals were acceptable to good. But two of our party had steaks which were awful. We are not complainers so said nothing on the day. But maybe here I feel able to comment. And some pretty dodgy characters in and out of the establishment.

Lovely breakfast, Becky who served was lovely and friendly and fast.

Came here on Friday 25th April, we came up to the area for a football tournament and got there quite late found this place to eat and so glad we did, our waitress Chelsie was amazing so friendly and looked after her area really well and the food was well worth the price, if ever in the area again will definitely be visiting again

The Harvester Elms is well spaced in the seating areas and there are some very attractive places in a building that is full of history and character. When you go into The Elms you are met by one of the staff. We ordered our drinks at the bar and mooched to a table where we sat to enjoy our drinks for a little while, there was no reserved notice. However a member of staff arrived and told us we could not sit there, which was disappointing. We discovered that The Elms is now a restaurant, not a traditional public house like it seemed to be for our relaxation and enjoyment some years ago. We used to love going into a little area there called The Dog Kennel to sit for a while and enjoy each other's company. However, if you do go in for food it is well prepared and presented and along with items on the main menu you can also have a bowl of salad. The choice of salad is very varied and it is lovely. The car park is spacious, quite large and it is free to use.

We went to this harvester as there was a promotion advertised as kids eat free, however when we arrived we were aggressively informed by somebody with a mowhawk claiming to be "manager" that he would not honour their own advert. There was no sense of apology or empathy from this person. Our order excluding kids came to around £75 but we were told by the Manager that if we didn't like it we could leave. So sadly we did. We have eaten at this Harvester before with no problems, but sadly as customer service seems to not be practised here anymore, we shall give it a miss from now on.

My self and family arrived on a Monday evening and were immediately greeted by Chris , he was friendly and very polite. He took our order and it arrived really quickly . Chris kept popping back to check if there was anything we needed and if the food was all good , which it was. Such a nice man and made the whole experience more enjoyable.

Went for a large family gathering today. The restaurant was lovely and clean food was ready quickly and didn't have time to finish the salad before the main came out ( which was fine as I don't like waiting long 😄) Main course was hot, fresh and delicious all orders were ready at the same time. Charlene was our waitress and was fun friendly and helpful. All in all a fantastic experience.

The salad bar was disgusting very messy and not replenished. 2 puds we wanted was unavailable.

The elms is getting very dated and dirty could do with a complete refurbishment the food ok although we had to wait 40 minutes and it wasn’t busy won’t be going back there

Chris our server was absolutely lovely - very polite and attentive. We didn’t wait long for anything and we could not fault his service. Food was good, but we have had better dishes from here before. Atmosphere was good - it was busy but not too loud, just a lack of music.

Enjoyed a lovely relaxed Mother's Day evening meal here. Olivia was exceptional, so attentive, and pleasant, made our meal a lovely experience.

Went in with a friend last night and asked politely if we could have a table for two to which who I think was the manager who had a Mohawk type hair style was very rude and said no tables available and carried on with it is the evening before Mothers Day which I appreciate it being fully booked but he didn’t need to be rude, ended up having a lovely meal at the stone house pub over the road and was greeted the proper way . Wouldn’t go back here again or recommend due to the poor customer service and unfriendliness.

Amazing service, friendly staff, ever request we made was met without a problem. And the food was delicious.

My partner ordered the 7oz gammon which was lovely. I ordered the chicken tikka flatbread, which l have had previously. However this quite spicy. Luke provided me with some sour cream to make it milder. Unfortunately l was still unable to eat it as the flatbread was covered in the tikka sauce, meaning that l was just able to eat the fries. The bill was adjusted accordingly by Luke.

Big thank you to Maria who made this meal out so pleasant with my partner family and myself. Maria helped me all the way with my allergies and even went out of her way to get me fresh stuff out of the kitchen. my experience here was amazing and for the first time was able to eat out as a family without having to worry about my allergies. I will definitely come back to this restaurant not only because of the amazing service but the food here is amazing too.

Been visiting here many times over the years with family and friends a great menu with something for everybody and the staff and very friendly and very helpful.

Just visited the elms harvester on Birmingham rd Coventry. We hadn’t booked just went on the spur of the moment. Waited to be seated at the entrance. One of the waitresses come to serve us . Ask if we had booked . We replied no ,to which she tutted and said we’re fully booked but you’re welcome to sit in a window on some high chairs . Looking around There was barely any one in there so we left . I then went on there website and managed to book a time straight away within five minutes of leaving . Won’t be going back soon . !!!

Food lovely just a bit cold where we were sitting

Twice I've come here the first time a woman called rona spoke to me like something she had trodden in and tutted at me when I asked to sit somewhere quiet as my daughter has autism and we don't want her disturbing other guests with her ticks. (Last year) This time we sat in the same space was asked to move having to lug everything across the pub aswell as being heavily pregnant not fun. But didnt want to create a problem. We had to go to a more busy area of the pub setting off my daughters ticks where again we got spoken to like rubbish funnily enough by the same woman! As nearly a year ago clearly hasn't changed her attitude in that time funny how when middle class folk come in her whole act would change up being so kind and welcoming couldn't do enough for them. The food was vile the portions were small the portion my daughter got was 3 slices off a mini fillet and a handful of veg my 10 month eats more than that we had to feed her off our plates to bulk out the meal. My partner orderd a rather pricey mixed grill with all the extras when we asked about the extras we got "there on your plate whats the problem" they was no where near what they was advertised. The tension was disgusting from the staff we ended up walking out half way though our meal and going home as we couldn't take the rudeness anymore. My daughter didn't even get desert we paid for! Just read to check the reviews to make sure it wasn't a me thing and 2 people who was there the same time as me have put reviews in no way am I in connection or know these people this is clearly a attitude problem this staff member has Not even so much as a apology in the reply either

We had a really lovely afternoon meal at the Elms Harvester in Coventry. Chris, who waited on us, was fantastic and looked after us really well. We will be making this one a regular stop for family meals out.

My family met for Sunday lunch at The Elms. The meal was good value for money. Our waiter Chris provided excellent service, for what was quite a large party of people.

Me and my boyfriend come here every so often and always found the food really good. It’s definitely one of my favourite places to come and the waiters are always so lovely, we had John as our waiter which we have had before and he’s always so kind and professional! 😊

We came to harvester after having a long day out at Kenilworth castle. Me and my partner have not been harvester in many years. We decided to stop by to grab some dinner. Our waiter was Charlene and she was so welcoming and gave us advice on the new menu options which are so yummy I must add. Great place and great staff.

We went this past Saturday for my sisters 30th birthday for a meal. My mom arrived 20 mins early but the table was not in use so they said she could wait for the rest of the party to arrive. However it took 40 mins for service to even greet us and give us a food menu. My brother in law had to go to the bar in the end to get drinks. They were constantly telling us how much time we had left on the table. It felt very rushed and unprofessional and just rude altogether. Was supposed to be a nice family gathering for a special occasion but the server we had was named Chris and they was so rude and pushy. Food was fine but wouldn't come back just because of the service alone.

Don’t normally have a problem with Harvester but this time the delivery time kept changing and when it did arrive everything was either cold or lukewarm at best, not great for a birthday treat.

Came for breakfast, had classic breakfast with rump steak as an extra. Rump steak wasn’t the best but the rest of the breakfast was good. Chris our waiter was a nice guy, made conversation and was attentive.

Excellent service at lunchtime by Luke. Polite quick service and nothing was too much trouble. Very smiley and pleasant.

Popped in for coffee about 4.15 as most local cafes closed, was pleased to find a level disabled person's entrance from car park. However the bar was two short flights of stairs up above the seating, so an able bodied member of our party had to go to drinks There was a query if the tables we had sat at in that area was booked, I explained we would only be about 30 minutes and that was before the booking so we were allowed to stay. The pub is fabulous inside parts of it go back.to a cottage built in 1600 later extended into a house and then becoming a hostel a hotel and until a few years ago Paybody Eye Hodpital before becoming the Harvester it is today. It was very comfortable, clean. Reasonably priced abd staff were friendly, they offer very good value set meals and the bottomless free salads. Will definitely consider visiting for food next time.

Absolutely brilliant 👏 The guy that served us was a true gentleman. My steak was slightly chewy. I only mentioned it to him. I ate almost all of it. I only mentioned it was slightly chewy, and he knocked it off the bill. I had full intentions of paying. Now that is service 👏 I gave him a £10 tip. Absolutely 💯 brilliant Highly recommend

Visited for my daughters birthday, although the service was great from Abbie, unfortunately we found the food quite lacking this time, presentation wasnt great, i dont actually think it was cooked properly as i was poorly in the evening, and the prices are getting out of hand. I think the menu has become quite boring, and the salad bar is just awful, it's all the same items on both sides and you're lucky if the pots actually have something in them. The salad bar used to have a great variety, and was always full and fresh, now it's the same things, and the ingredients never look fresh . We used to love harvester but I'm now struggling to find reason to visit again...

We had a lovely meal today at the elms in Coventry, no complaints about the food. Service from Luke was outstanding, he was very polite, met all our needs and waited on us until we left. Will definitely return

chips were cold and like cardboard and so was the garlic cheese pitta (to be honest, not sure there was any garlic on it!) the burger had sauce on that was the size of your fingernail with 1 dead looking lettuce piece! oh and with the 30 minute delay from the original delivery time i think i would have preferred to eat the dogs dinner!! Burger was ok though, dog was well happy 😂

Booked for my sons 10th birthday for 9 people. 5 adults and 4 children for 2.30pm. Waitress came to get drinks order, but we didn't receive the drinks till nearly 30 minutes later, I had to ask twice where the drinks were. We received food ordered, but weren't able to have desserts as the table was needed for another group waiting. And we were told that we needed to leave. I have a voucher code for children eat for £1 which i informed Waitress when ordering the meal, Waitress hadn't taken it off and rolled her eyes at me when I stated the bill was wrong. Children were given their deserts that came with the meal, while dirty dinner plates still hadn't been removed. Yes I understand it may have been busy, but for us to be told to leave when we hadn't finished eating is not very good, maybe if the Waitress was a little faster and it didn't taken nearly 40 minutes after sitting down to come and take our food order, we would of been ready on time.

Went for a half-term lunch with my son and husband. Food was good, although my halloumi and corn bread were a little overcooked, and the corn bread needed more hot honey sauce for flavour. The service from Roma was excellent; quick, polite, and helpful.

Charlene was excellent & looked after us really well. Food was very good, as usual, & recommend the Choux Bun as a dessert. I would suggest a 1 way system at the salad bar, though. Got a bit chaotic & messy but it didn't spoil our evening.
