Always our go to chippy, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fabulous place for takeaway food, with a good variety to choose from at a good price! The service is spot on with lovely friendly staff, not forgetting the place is amaculately clean.

Great place for fish and chips. I much prefer the doner kebab with salad. Can get busy so do get there early. Lovely staff there to help and assist. Food was delicious and lots of it.

The best chip shop in Coventry however I often find my self driving to the next one because they don’t take card payments and I don’t carry cash.

Used to love this chip shop haven't been for a good while so thought I would give it a go as the food used to be nice I had fish and chips the batter on the fish was soggy very soft not crispy at all and the chips were not good my friend had chips and kebab meat and that wasn't very nice either ended up throwing most of it away so unfortunately will not be going here again

Family-run fish & chips takeaway. Friendly, obliging and quick service. Cod, haddock; fresh and delicious, chips; non-greasy and very 'moreish' and standard portions are definitely ample. (Believe chips free on Mondays if ordering large fish? Will check and update) Peas and curry sauce small or large sizes. Am told lamb/chicken kebabs tasty also. (Though salad over chunky - would benefit from smaller, finer pieces or served 'spiralised') Open all day Fridays and Saturdays. One small inconvenience; cash only. However, cash machine (withdrawals not free?) nearby OR... Shop next door has sub-post office and separate post office counter for free cash withdrawals of any amount when PO closed. *UPDATE* Checked; chips ARE free on Mondays when purchasing large fish.

The reviews are not wrong, the chips are really good. But...regular chips and a pot of beans...£4.90. Not cheap.

Service is very slow, very small portions and the fish is NOT FRESHLY MADE it was definitely REHEATED the batter was like rubber and not edible the chips were ok but still quite a few black bits on the them. Cash only which is annoying in this day and age

Food ok but be careful what you ask for. Old guy serving ignores what you want and gives you what he feels you should have which isn’t what a paying customer wants. That said, Manageress, Steph, is brilliant! Won’t be rushing back as this has happened to me on more than one occasion

It's a little bit more expensive than some of the other fish and chips in Coventry, but in the end you get what you pay for. Excellent food generous portions fantastic service.

My daughter is celiac so traveled to tile Hill from wyken as they advertise gulton free menu, finished her supper and now she is crippled in pain and very poorly by gulton contamination. The reason she knows it is gulton because it's happen before with a gulton free take away. Please please please make sure the food your advertising as gulton free is kept that way and not mixed with other foods, celiac is a very dangerous disease and can cause extreme Poisoning life treating conditions 🤬

Went first time after seeing so much good reviews. Good place and nice staff. Tried fish and chips. Tasty and less oily than others 😋 . Could be busy depending on the time of the day. Only accepting cash if to say something. There is a cash machine just outside. Overall good experience.

Visited today rather than my regular chippy as I was on the way past. Will NEVER be going back, I paid £5.20 for a “family size” portion of chips when I was given a portion that wouldn’t even feed 2. I paid £5.20 so obviously I questioned it straight away and I was told it’s a family portion and laughed at with the staff asking how big is my family? lol everything else I ordered was equally terrible. The sausages had been taken out of the glass and microwaved before being wrapped and the scallops were dripping of oil. Will be using my r regular from now on St George’s Plaice on charter avenue is the best chippy around the area and only 5 minutes away so travel the extra 5 minutes and you will get some decent food!

Arrived just before 5pm and was kept waiting for about 20mins before finally getting served. Got the 2 portions of F & C home and well what a disappointment... The fish was dry and didn't taste too fresh. The chips tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. Won't be going back in a rush! Very disappointing

Friendly staff at this chippy supplied our recent charity fundraiser with 90 portions! Well packed and presented and ready dead on time, our supporters were able to enjoy hot and tasty fish and chips. We will be happy to use them at future events.

first visit to this chip shop and I can honestly say it was fantastic.the staff were very friendly and welcoming and also very helpful.i had the kabab mixed meal in naan and it was a defo 5 star .you got plenty of meat and salad..with a full portion of chips to go with it and 3 different sauces & it was more than enough 4 two.will return 4 defo.

Chicken tikka under cooked had really bad toilets after half hour of eating it won't be going back use to be a really good chippy but this has put me well off

No Haddock ready as per usual.So order 1 large Haddock Go back in after 15 mins .Give me the smallest bit of Haddock ever.I tell the man serving who agrees.So I ask for another piece.Then the bill is £16 for fish chips and curry sauce.The chips have all black mouldy bits too and are soggy with grease and fat. Also the customers don't wear covid masks and are not challenged by the staff. Never again will I use Beech tree chippy. I suggest you don't either.

We went last night for cod and chips, asked if they would cook a fresh fish and they refused. They said the fish had just been cooked and was fresh last time I had pre cooked fish here it was dry and disgusting. Just walked out they lost a sale. Plenty of chip shops will cook fish to order

They have a few vegetarian options, which are great, and the chips serving size is quite generous!

This was our hot Friday favourite...until we paid almost £13 for a large fish and chips with curry sauce and a pie. I'm still not over the shock.

It took ages to get served, chips were under cooked and the fish was plastered in inch thick batter, it all went straight in the bin, never again

All food is good but especially the fact you can get gluten free food from 4.00 every day. They have a separate fryer so no chance of contamination. Just phone them and preorder. Great service every time

Really lucky to have a gluten free chippy nearby. Positives: almost always very good quality, fresh, huge fish! Huge portions of chips. Very good quality sausages. Great range eg. Speciality items like battered halloumi. Ability to order ahead for gluten free is great too. Negatives: fairly pricey. Chips quality hit and miss. Sometimes not fully cooked and sometimes not cleaned/ peeled / de-eyed properly..there was soil in the last chips I had that crunched in my teeth so threw them away 😬

Been using this Chippy for years and it never disappoints., Jim runs a great establishment. Queues can be a bit long at times but that is a testament to its popularity. Food is always freshly cooked and very tasty. Big up to the staff as well who are friendly and always smiling.

Best in Coventry. Great value, great Boss and staff, you'll never go hungry. Big portions.
