Most efficient chippy! Highly approve

Gone downhill this chippy,cod was ok but the chips were rock hard and full of little scratching type ,could of broke a tooth if I ate more than the handful i did,also curry sauce was very watery

I have visited the place more than a year. I'm very happy with the service and food

I have been eating here for years, the service is amazing and I am always welcomed with a big smile. The food is very good from a quality perspective but unfortunately recently the cost has gone up and the portions aren't consistent. If it is busy when you go then expect less portions.

The fish and chips was fresh and deep fried with fresh cooking oil. It was delicious and large enough for 2 to enjoy.

I have order a meat feast pizza (10 ) and the cost is crazy £7.50 and small portion of fries at £2.95🥲. I don’t recommend going there unless it’s the end of the world! My food was made like a garbage, see attached! Don’t go there! Food is cold and not fresh

Have used this chipshop for a year or so now. Always found the food very nice( although not the cheapest in the area) The staff were nice and service efficient. However I will be giving it a miss now, last couple of visits not so good, large cod with not much fish and loads of batter£8.50, and today a regular chips with what I can only describe as a bag of full fat scratchings from the bottom of fryer ( only noticed when home) Such a shame when establishments let their standards fall

We are came from Liverpool for some work and our friend us about this takeaway the food is really high quality great people's staff is great 😊 100 recommend to some who came from outside

Always had a lovely takeaway from here,staff always friendly and efficient but tonight not so good kebab meat,and fried chicken good but chips cold and hard not the best I'm sorry to say ordered 2 medium bags almost £8, not value for money as had to throw a lot away due to being too cold and hard hope next visit will usual excellent quality

Quality of food, quality of service, value for money, everything is A Grade with these guys! To top it all off, the meats are halal, which is hard to find in a chippy! Just brilliant! 👏🙏

Well where do i start. The food was perfect, the service was fantastic and despite being really busy incredibly quick service as well.

I use this chip shop about once a month. The portions are expensive but normally are a good size and good quality so tonight (21/07/2023) was very disappointing indeed. Times may be hard (inflation/shrinkflation etc) but if a customer pays for a portion of chips surely its only fair to give them a proper portion rather than simply scrape round the fryer for whats left, as I experienced tonight. The scraping was that hard it probably took a few millimetres off the bottom of the stainless steel fryer!

The food at this Chippy is good and reasonably priced. Worth knowing is that there is usually plenty of space for car parking.

Brilliant value for money - tasty food at good prices!

Very average sadly, whilst the chips and various things such as sausage/fish are fine the kebab here let's it down. It has a very unusual smell which is not how it's supposed to smell and the majority of time the kebab is so paper thin and has a smooth rubber texture, also not how it's supposed to be.

Waste of money the chips were sweet which usually is a sign of old potatoes and the customer service was poor, the area where it is really nice however the customer is more suited to someone who runs a chip shop in the hood! Never visiting here again and will spread word of mouth to the locals

Lovely food, twice had the cod and chips, fish was spot on, light and fluffy and just melted in the mouth, the batter was nice too and not thick and hard, sometimes when u cut into a piece of fish in can have more batter and air than fish making it a disappointment, not in this case. Chips was lovely too and not too greasy or stale. My only disappointment is I don't drive and your not on the 'Just Eat' app. May be think about doing delivery as your about the only place that isant on it.....I only have food from here when my boyfriend is over and he fancies a kebab then he drives up, but his not from Coventry....your salad is awesome too always tastes fresh...how it should be 👌

A clean and convenient chippy shop.

Chips were almost sweet and just a bit meh. The worst part of the meal was the jumbo sausage which must have been cooked and left out for what looks like a full 24 hours. The attached picture shows the dry inside and the clear colour difference around the inside. Had one bite of the sausage and that was painful to say the least. Would not recommend and definitely a waste of the £14 we spent in the two transactions

A good chippie with friendly staff, but the scallops are rather pricey at 95p. Don't let it put you off though, other food looked impressive and the place was immaculate

Their gluten free battered fried fish is to die for. Valerie and I eat from there on gluten free days whenever we are back at our house nearby. Greatest glutenfree fried fish. Just keep an eye on the portion size...

Got food poisoning within an hour of eating it was throwing up all night had the kebab

Fantastic service. Best chips i'v had in years. I had regular chips and battered sausage. The chip portion was huge and freshly cooked. Delicious! I live in Llandudno and their is no comparison. Can not fault it.

In my opinion this is the best takeaway in Coventry and to date the best in the West Midlands from what I’ve experienced. The grill menu is outstanding. I’ve ordered the grilled Lamb Shish and my wife the grilled Chicken Shish and this is an authentic Mediterranean kebab and simply delicious. I ordered the Mix Grilled Kebab on my next visit and the my wife stuck with the trusted Chicken as I wanted a sample of the Kofta to see if it was on par, and I wasn’t disappointed. Beautifully marinated and seasoned and cooked with intimate knowledge and as always with a smile and a friendly greeting from what I presume is a family run business. Loads of staff make this place very efficient and friendly and despite always being busy, I’ve never had to wait longer than 10mins for an order on walk up. You can speed this up further by phoning your order ahead, but I miss the interaction between a family business and a local customer, so I always walk in to say hello. As a Fish and Chip shop it is again outstanding. The Fish is the freshest I’ve tasted in a land locked county and the chips are cooked like a chip shop should. The portions are enormous, so order frugally and you will always struggle to finish it, despite wanting too. The Chicken and Lamb Donner are excellent quality too and are very far removed from a cheeky doner on the way home after a drink, definitely worth a try. One improvement I would like to see is their sauces. They are very good, but some nice authentic Tzatziki or a homemade chilli sauce to go with the grilled menu would be the icing on the cake. I want to taste a Kebab and close my eyes and imagine I’m in the Mediterranean. The best takeaway bar none so far in my opinion, I’ve tried all the others in Coventry (and I mean all), this is the most authentic Grilled Kebab. I’m so pleased it my local. Large and tasty fish which overhung my plate with, dare I say it, too many chips! Great value for money and enjoyable.

Just had a kebab from here and have to say it was fantastic! Fresh salad and Pitta and the chicken meat was great with it . I’ll definitely be going back and will be recommending it to friends.

Use fairly regularly. Food and value for money OK. Good standards of hygiene and freshly cooked fish, chips, pies and so on. Sometimes necessary to wait for cooking but prices and food reasonable. Staff friendly. Would avoid peak times, but otherwise good.

It's worth paying extra for the kebab on the grill as the meat is good quality (much better than the Istanbul). The salad has a great selection and always fresh. Pizza's are good and not too expensive.

I think the management has changed recently. This was my favourite chippy, great food, happy staff. And unfortunately, for the past few months it's going downhill. Food is average. Twice now when I asked for a small kebab, they have charged me and serve me a large one. Won't be visiting again.

Don't bother with the kebabs, not the best presented kebab, fish is ok. Massive portions and they only serve Large with Large prices.

Was practically the first customer in the store when they opened in the afternoon. Ordered mixed chicken kebab and large portion of chips. Had to throw it all in the bin! The chips were rock hard and the kebab was clearly reheated from the evening before. (Rubbery and dry) Really won’t be coming back and it’s a shame because it’s my local

The male staff where awful getting about 5 orders mixed. Chips were horrid also and small portion for pricing. Salad was tasty though. Maybe I should of stuck to that

Not too bad, if you're really hungry, but they're better places to eat out there. I didn't like the fact that the kebab meat was cut in huge pieces, didn't offer enough salad. I've asked for a wrap but I've got all in a box instead.

I came in to order haddock with chips and dinner meat and chips only to have the haddock missed off my order. I even came in early to order th haddock before commencing my shopping. I only discovered I had no haddock 25 minutes when I went home, came straight back out with my partner and queried it to the chippie. Then one of the employees started arguing with us, not explaining what had happened and refusing to give us a fresh order, because our original order had gone cold by this point! In the end the manager did the right thing and gave us a fresh order WITH the haddock with no extra charge. They apologized, which means I will be going back but it was just frustrating.

Chips were rock hard may as well have served them frozen by far the worst chips I've ever had and the batter on the fish wasnt crispy in the slightest. Wont be eating from there again!!

Visited here after having moved home and this place is right around the corner from me. Went here to get myself some fish and chips and the service was good with staff being very polite and helpful. I took my food away and it was still hot and fresh when I arrived home. The fish was lovely, soft and flakey as you would expect and the batter was nice and crispy. The chips themselves were great and you get given quite a lot of chips which is great value for money. Overall a very nice chippy and if reccomend it to anyone.

Great family runned business, very helpful and friendly service is what you'll get. The chicken kebab tastes very good and that's my favourite. They don't accept card payments, only cash that's the negative side of this place but there's a cash machine outside.

I love this chippy the staff are so friendly the food is always fresh nothing is to much trouble for them .Its sad that come November we are retiring to The New Forest and will miss this great chip shop .I wishbthemballbthe best for their future and whenever we visit our son we will be sure to pop in . Tuesday night popped in got a scallop was not cooked, potato Was hard. Last night got a bag of chips to go with my tea they where cold what’s going on used to be so good

Best fish I have tasted considering we are so far from the sea you wait a while because it gets cooked fresh .

This was the first time we had tried this chip shop, it will most likely be the last. The chips were undercooked and the fish (cod), well, that went in the bin as it smelt and tasted really strong and my knowledge of eating fish suggested it was at the end of its useful life (perhaps even past it). There are better chip shops around the area, but I guess in this central England location I haven't found any that would get any where close to the 'North East'. Maybe one day???

The smell of Joop! And despair was nauseating. The trip was worthwhile though to see David Attenborough filming his latest documentary.

Over priced and not the best quality if I'm being honest. Don't forget to being cash, this chippy is cash only.

Love this chippy! Food is always cooked fresh and the staff are friendly. The owner always gives my boys a lollipop each and remembers their names which is always nice. I particularly like that there is gluten free options on the menu alongside freshly made pizzas.

Ok I have been to every chip shop in Coventry, I have done extensive research in the kebab industry, I thought I knew everything. My wife and son are gluten free, when the normal chippy wasn’t doing gluten free chips we checked on the internet and came across Bannerbrook Chippy. It’s a 20 minute drive, the chips are amazing, the fish is out of this world, I didn’t have the kebab but it looked really nice, I will defo try the kebab next time. This chippy is the best in Cov, end off. Parking is ok, they are really friendly and the food is worth the drive. I’m going again.

Finnally found a place in Coventry that does gluten free fish and chips on a Friday! Really tasty fish. The gluten free menu is extensive with battered sausages and scallops etc. Friendly staff. A MUST for any celiac in Coventry!

Lived here for 7 years now and this chippy is the best in town by a long shot. Good portions and value for money and never had a bad experience ever! Perfect treat any night of the week! Keep up the good work guys :)

Over the years we've used a number of chippys in the local area and this is now by far the best. Great choice from the traditional fish and chips and the other chippy favourites, plus fresh pizzas, huge kebabs and wraps. Friendly, speedy service and great food.

Food from here is lovely, offer gluten free on certain days, proper kebabs (not on the Turner) my son recommends the burgers, said they are very tasty.

Came here because of the T/A reviews, left dissappointed,fish far to greasy and a mixture of lunchtime and evening chips (some were overcooked), curry sauce ok. All in all nothing to write home about so it's back to the usual one.

Food is excellent but messed up my order, which I didn't realise until I got home. Had to make a return journey to please a very hungry girlfriend!
