Imagine a chip shop that make fresh chips thought out the hour and fish etc on demand… This is the chip shop that operate with freshly cooked food. I believe it to be a father and son business that they have operated since roughly 1995. Along time to be serving the local community. I am not a regular fish and chop person, but from time to time have a taste for them. I do not live locally, but travel past many chips to buy from this one. A great local chip shop, great staff, very clean, hot fresh food. Sometimes I have to wait for 5 minutes for the chips to be cooked fresh, that is the reaon I travel to eat from this particular chip shop. Hot and fresh.

I moved to Cov just over a year ago. My fellas always been a Cov lad and has always used this chippy. Our Friday tradition of chippy tea is cemented in our family routine now- only because this is the best chippy around and we can’t do without it at least once a week. The staff are lovely, portions are always extra generous, food tasty and never greasy. Only annoyance is they charge for salad on a kebab lol. xx

Amazing price and quality for the fish and chips. Our sever was great with the kids, she made my child feel safe and okay while ordering in such a busy place. We will be definitely coming back.

We've been going here since we moved to the area and it's been consistently brilliant for the last 10 years. Chips are cooked to perfection. Fish is nice and moist. Would recommend the fish value meal for £5.50. Nice and filling.

Asked for a large and small lightly battered fish and twice now the lady has gave it another customer and ended up with a well battered and very overcooked dry fish instead , Three times now this has happened to me and feel I’m now not getting the service and quality food I used to receive.

Always lovely food, sometimes there is a long queue but they get down it pretty quick. Staff always friendly. Very popular shop.

The family visited here and tried the kebabs and a large portion of sausage & chips. Although busy, we received our meal in about 10m and it was well worth the wait. The kebabs were filling and the sausage & chips weren't greasy. Staff appeared friendly enough and not badly priced at £25. Will revisit if in the area again

Felt like a proper traditional chippy, crispy batter fresh chunky cod! Really enjoyed this and the curry sauce and mush pea, absolutely banging! Portion size could’ve been slightly bigger. The chips were mediocre but tasty! I’d love to see battered chips! 8.5/10 thank you Wallace

You can't beat the Wallace chippy! Been coming for over 10 years, staff have always been friendly and fast with service. Be prepared to queue sometimes as it gets busy, but that's always a good sign of a great chippy!

Staff were a bit rude used offensive language and called us fat

By far one of the best chippy in Coventry! Great food & friendly staff! I have a chippy near where I live which is a 5 min walk but I prefer to drive to The Wallace as the fish is miles better prepared and cooked!

Nice friendly staff , clean shop,really good service and best of all fantastic fish and chips.

This is always been my go to chippy, and always highly recommended. However the last few months it has gone completely down hill. After visiting this time round we got food poisoning. We ordered a mix kebab, in which my partner said did not taste right and quite salty. Later that evening we both started vomiting and have been so ill for two days. Will never be going back, and a few of our neighbours have said the same. I don't know what has happened Wallace chip shop, but use have gone down hill.

Breaded fish and chips... The best

One of the best fish and chip shops in the area. With a good menu and friendly staff it is always a pleasure to buy food from here. The food it self is cooked fresh and is very satisfying. They are COVID safe and take card as well as cash payment. Parking is limited due to the road it is situated and expect to wait when it is busy. Great food and service

I was expecting a better quality fish and chips from them, bought from them first time today, two large fish and chips and cost nearly £20. By the time I came home in 5 minutes, chips were absolutely hard and the fish was very smelly, I am guessing the oil used was not very good or very old, has to put most of the food in the bin, one request to the owner, if you are charging a top dollar, please use good quality ingredients

Really tasty food, staff always pleasant and polite. Shame parking can be a challenge sometimes but that's not their fault. I suppose more parking would indicate bad chippy.

By far the best fish and chips in Coventry, there's no soggy chips cooked here! Friendly staff who are always polite and helpful. Parking can sometimes be problematic during busier times, but a bit of perseverance will be rewarded by great food which is freshly prepared while you wait. Well worthy of a 5 star rating.

This is a Great Place for getting something to eat....... Haven't been here for quite a while now but the food is top quality and the staff are great and they have top customer service to all that enter and are polite and friendly...... I was one of the first customers to go in this place when it first opened and i would recommend this place to anyone....... Also i know the (Owner/s) and i hope their doing great......

Other chip shops take note...you cook good food your customers will return. Easily one of the best chip shops in Coventry. All other chip shops around this area are terrible, brown hard wrinkly chips and pies that look they have been under the heaters all day long.

Since Covid restrictions the portions are about 1/3 less after many years of using will be going elswhere Appreciate getting a quick reply I can only speak from my recent purchases I must have been unlucky maybe I will give it a try again must say the food quality is good my issue was just the portion sizes

Have been visiting this chippy for years. By far the best fish and chips in Coventry. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend trying the halloumi burger, it's delicious! Great veggie and vegan options.

Got a huge selection for the whole family and couldn't be happier, chicken pitta was perfect, the chips were amazing as ever, the fish literally melted in the mouth. Beautiful place topped off by friendly staff and clean environment! Wouldn't go to another chippy!

What can I say, I live in Wallace road and I can sometimes smell the food from my front garden 😀 For me this is the best chippie I've used. Very friendly, local place. Always a welcoming smile and a nice hot bag of chips. 👍
