The best restaurants in West Midlands

Dropped in for a meal whilst on my own on a business trip to Brum. Hotel food never excites me so I headed over the road to find something and came across Syriana. Everything was absolutely superb. Had a mixed grill meats were perfectly grilled - the lamb was tender, the chicken succulent and the rice was close to being the best rice I've ever had. Service friendly and very good indeed and a pleasant atmosphere especially for a "billy no mates business traveller" on his own. Prices very reasonable for a good size / excellent quality of meal. No alcohol at Syriana but the refreshing frozen lemon and mint drink did an admirable job of quenching my thirst. So full was I that I didn't manage a dessert but had an Arabic coffee and a glass of iced water to finish. Next time I'm in Brum overnight, a repeat visit is on the cards.

The Paprika Club was recommended to us. This was spot on. First class India food at reasonable prices. The service is awesome as well. A great team. We’ll be back.

Absolutely top-tier chip shop! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by warm, friendly staff. The decor is modern and stylish with a welcoming vibe that sets it apart from your average chippy. We were welcomed in by the lovely Brad! We had our dog with us so we took a table outside, the rain was rather bad however service from Brad was exceptional! He is funny and attentive. The 5 stars is for you Brad!

A su llegada, el personal de la puerta denegó la entrada a un miembro de nuestro partido porque era considerado demasiado joven a pesar de tener 25 años , aunque había identificado . Entré y un miembro del personal que conocía fue a buscar al gerente le expliqué la situación y él fue a la puerta y dijo que su identificación ( pasaporte por teléfono no era aceptable ) y el personal de la puerta eran correctos . Así que a menos que uno tenga un pasaporte o permiso de conducir no se puede entrar en estas instalaciones. Nunca vi a nadie más siendo revisado de esta manera.

Just don’t bother. Awful curry! Lovely service don’t get me wrong, but omg the curry is below mid, small portions and you can get so much better 5 minutes away. Don’t go just cause it’s got a water bubble thing on the wall, the place is style over substance.

We absolutely love this place, so quickly. Menu is limited, but that fine for a cafe, a bit overpriced for what it was, but again lovely environment. We shall miss it it. We were going to try their sister cafe in Stratford, but we have found there's an ongoing issue with the booking system, so we have given up hope on visiting.

Five star all round. We booked here for a bite to eat after a round of golf. Our first visit and impressed by the quality of food and service. Would definitely recommend and will be back

Delicious food friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. This was the first time we had visited but was on recommendation. Will definitely be back.
