Poor quality food- fish and chips excessively oily with poor quality and rotten chips . Terrible burgers not sent with my dietary needs and requirements having already made the restaurant aware of them when ordering and before my delivery.?The salad sent with burgers looked pathetic in quality and fit only for the bin. So, do NOT ever order from this place -?as they are a CROOKED and CHEAP business with ZERO standards or morality.

A great place with tasty food, friendly staff and aesthetic vibe. Ordered veggie burger and kebab with chips, fresh and tasty. So, could not stop ourselves to order gelato and affogato as dessert. Will definitely go again 👍

My first order with this restaurant. Good quality and tasty fish along with their traditional chips and chicken pie which I also ordered, Thee pie was with free range chicken and this type of meat gave this a far better flavour and quality than other average non-free range pies which tend to be inferior in terms of taste and meat quality.

Been going here for a couple of years now. Best chip shop in town, quality is always consistent, atmosphere is great, friendly staff and the service is always 10/10.

Very aesthetic shop, great decor and the staff are polite and friendly but definitely a bit underwhelmed with the food. Just ordered a Large Cod, paid £9.95 and this was sold as an 8-10oz piece of fish. Assuming that meant 8-10oz fillet before it was bartered and cooked; appreciate a steak will lose weight when cooking due to lost juices but this surely isn’t the case when the fish takes on the batter and oil. Thought the fish was a bit small when I got home and after weighing it, only came out at 7.25oz fully cooked. The lady who handed my order even said it was a Large Cod so not sure what they’re playing at with portion control

Wow, what can I say. This place is so nice when both my brother and myself approached it from the outside, decored out very nicely, like yr sitting in another hot chilled out country, something that I've never seen before so far. Relaxed, shaded, nice breeze and quiet considering the time and day (mid week) we visited. The place is spotless, very nicely laid out making things easy for you to see what yr looking at. The staff are friendly, polit, chatty with a smile on their faces when you walk in. waited on the benches outside for the food to be freshly cooked and brought out to us. The fish and chips is amazing, never tasted anything like it, fresh chips with a crispness to it, batter on the fish was light, crisp texture to every bite, didn't lose its quality wasn't greasy at all. Nice array of desserts to choose from, providing you have room for it. Lovely place to take the family for a change, have been there once, will definately go again.

If I could give this overpriced place a zero star review I certainly would. Have purchased takeaway from here a few times as my wife likes the sausage in batter and usually I don't care and have just chips for myself. Tonight I paid almost £10 for the burger in photos which had been flattened to the point any flavour had been beaten out of it, not to mention the fingers indents left in the flattened bun. I know it says hand pressed burger but this is just ridiculous. Will never order from this place again after tonight. I'm sure the Tesco trifle I will eat instead will taste a billion times better than my flattened tasteless burger.

Hmmm yeah, interesting. I used to live in Grimsby and the best fish n chips I ever had was from the coach house in humberston just on the edge of cleethorpes. I’ve just been to the Harbury Catch and I’m impressed that a chippy in Warwickshire has nailed it. Even after a 10/15 minutes drive back to Harbury the fish is nice and crispy as are the chips, there’s zero trace of fat or oil dripping from the fish or chips and the fish is nice, dry and flaky. All I can say is it may be more expensive compared to others but saves the disappointment you get from other shops. Awesome thank you for restoring faith in a chippy.

Late food and the large kebab is so small it’s a rip off!

I drive for a living and have tried hundreds of chippies. This one by far the best one. Worth the journey

A little pricey but food was decent

Got mixed kebab with chips and a portion of onion rings when I left i put bag on seat of car got home and the oil was running out of the bag the onion rings was just batter and oil the kebab meat didnt taste right the chips wer ok so I just threw it in bin needles to say I won't be going back for the money I paid.

Such a shame they serve great food , when opening the box half of my large fish was stuck on the lid, food wasn't hot spending over £35.00 for 2 meals i expect better :(

Great quality, fresh. I thought to try the Chicken burger, it was a great choice. Chips are always bang on and great size.

The quality of food here is fantastic, and so is the service. The gelateria is a great addition, making this a convenient eatery with mains and desserts all in one place, and I love the decor. This place is clean, and there's a good selection of drinks for those that fancy it.

Chips are battered here so normal chips have to be ordered separately which means ordering large. Portions are quite small for the prices. And not the fastest service Not for me

I was Served by a very kind and polite blonde young man as well as two young lady’s, they gave excellent service and the food arrived very quickly. I shall definitely be here again soon!

And here we are again, blamed the delivery driver. I ordered doner meat and chips twice no sauce. Got doner meat and mayo: rang up told the delivery driver has done it - what stole chips and added mayo? drove down bloke in charge called me darling over and over again. Asked him repeatedly to not do it. Blamed the young kid about the order. Then tried to give me fish and chips s meat was Turned off 9.45. I said no I wanted order. DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY FROM HERE

cold ...very disappointing ...we live 3 miles from the Harbury Catch so why doesn't the delivery driver have a container that remains warm. (there are some out there)

Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing the kebabs are so tender and delicious and the service is first class. This is my go to place, I travel about 15 miles to get there. This place has absolutely everything. I can place my order for my food it’s all made to order so don’t mind the slight wait, let me explain why. Well on some occasions I might squeeze in a fresh pint of draught beer Poretti or Estrella it’s so good and on other occasions I might have a cheeky dessert before dinner. Try their freshly made ice cream it’s out of this world. This place is more than your local chippy!! Go down check it out you won’t be disappointed. 10/10.

Beautiful place and very clean. Bought a takeaway large Haddock and large chips plus chicken curry and chips. Chips were delicious and large portion is a good size. The large haddock was disappointing, it really wasn’t large. Chicken curry and chips were very tasty but couldnt tell how much chicken was in the sauce. Didn’t appear to be much but we did enjoy it. Due the small size of the fish for £9.50, sorry but we won’t be back as the fish is a deal breaker for us. Also was a 25 minute wait for the food ( but that was a Friday evening and peak time in fairness).

food was meant to come with salt and vinegar had none. Fries were undercooked. The food was also crushed on top with the driver handing me a ripped bag that ripped more when give to me almost spilling the food.

Food was great, really tasty & hot. Some of my chicken was slightly pink. (Southern fried) but I’m still here!😁. Just needed cooking longer that’s all. Chips are THE best.

Ordered for 6.15 and it arrived just gone 6.45 also fish was not normal quality batter was like breadcrumbs never had it like that before ! Also quantity of chops was less then normal

Bought fish / cod & chips to take away. It was well cooked, though the size of the fish was shockingly small. Give their higher prices, this was a let down. I won't be going back. I ordered the regular, which is the size of a small in most places. I dread to see what the size of a small portion would be. It's not about my appetite or due to confusion, it's about the portions being small. They charge more and serve less.

We had two kebab meat and salad meals from yourselves on Thursday evening 16/1/25 at 19.30 we only live on the woodloes and and we have been to your chip shop a lot of times. and this time the chips was fine but the kebab meat was that cold we didn't eat for 28.90 pounds I expect it to be hot at least

First time we came here, the guy who served us - we think his name was Tuana, apologies if that’s incorrect - was brilliant, so friendly and let us try the sauces as we didn’t know what to chose. He had loads of recommendations for us. We had a kebab, cod and chips. Inside was cute to sit and had good music. Would definitely recommend and will try the desserts next time we go.

First time tonight. Best fish and chips I’ve had since moving to the area. Quality and service fantastic. Not cheap but definitely the best. Had fish chips and mushy peas and battered sausage and chips with Irish curry sauce. Bag of chips is too many for one so hoping the left overs air fry tomorrow.

Beautiful chips like you have never had anywhere else! Soft on the inside lovely and crunchy on the outside. Mesmerisingly flakey fish, and not greasy at all. Nice pot o peas as well

Lovely chips, very unique with the slight batter on them. Lamb Kebab was not that nice, meat way too thick, would be much better thinner slice. Overall very good chips, average kebab, but so very overpriced for the meal

I have uses this chip shop since moved here and Gaffa and MOST staff polite bar 1 I have issue with him every time I go in and nothing done tonight topped me off unless h spoken to. And talks to people in correct manor they will no longer have my custom regusrlly as I use way he spoke to me almost made me cry and I’m strong man but I don’t retaliate and bottle it all in

Personally I don't believe you can take a great British institution such as fish and chips and try to make it better. I'm not sold on the gourmet chips. To me this wasn't traditional fish and chips and I was disappointed.

The food is phenomenal, so fresh, and just delicious, we had the cod and the kebab which was so good and I’ve previously tried the burger and it is so tasty and fresh. Could not fault the service, we were served by a very polite staff member who even let us sample the different sauce. We now don’t go to any other chippys, this is the best one by far.

Gave this place 1 star pity you can not give it zero stars or a minus score Went to the counter to order the person on the till did not know how to use the till called the manager over then was overcharged by 2 pounds to what it said on menu Went on a Saturday dinner time only got 2 customers Finally got the food after a 20 minute wait The food was very small portions and tasted absolutely disgusting Had a bad stomach all night and had severe diarrhoea I would not recommend this place and I certainly would not use this place again even if I lived next door to it or if the food was free!!!

This is what i call excellent quality food, i always pop in when im visiting the in laws,. Their menu is vast with just about everything you could possibly want. Take a trip, you wont be disappointed.

Great food and friendly service

Normally love coming to Harbury Catch as it’s the best fish and chips around. However, I went in at 9pm after checking that they close at 9:30pm and stood there waiting to be served. There was one person tidying things up by the fryers and one person sitting at one of the tables. I waited to be served but wasn’t acknowledged. In the end I walked back out and got something elsewhere.

the food from here is amazing over the last few months I have tried quite a bit of the menu and none of it disappoints . The chips are the best and I don’t normally eat chip shop chips until I tried these ones

Before going to try a any new restaurant, I always read the Reviews, Almost all of the reviews here are great, but I found a few that were pretty bad. Finally I tried myself and to be Honest, the food was exceptional, the staff friendly and welcoming and the place is well decorated, worthy of a great restaurant. So when I read opinions such as (the door was open and it's cold or not enough salt on my fries) I find it stupid. In short, I heartily recommend!
