Perfect. Amazing food. Cooked to order and very reasonably priced. Will be going again.

Really big portions of the desi breakfast. Chana was nice and halwa was really nice. Paratha bit greasy and would prefer omelette rather than scrambled

Nice hidden gem in Walsall, since I had to unfortunately spend the day here at least I found chainak for a yummy breakfast.

I went to Chainak today and was not disappointed! Lovely service by the young lady on the till, and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend to all.

Walked in, ordered food straight away. Sat down and the seating was fantastic, very nicely presented and homely. Food came within 15 mins, ordered quite a lot. Everything was fresh and was delicious. Not to mention the hospitality and service was fantastic. Really good food espesially the value you get too. Large quantities we shared between 3 people.

Visited Chainak in Walsall recently. Initially, we were a bit disappointed as both the fudge cake and falooda were unavailable. We then ordered the Matilda cake, one kids breakfast, Gol Gappe, and the “Not So Desi Breakfast.” The food itself was tasty, especially the Matilda cake and breakfast items. However, the service could use some improvement — the Gol Gappe were served right at the end, just when we were about to leave, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, parking in the area is quite challenging, so do keep that in mind if you’re planning a visit. Overall, a nice place with good food, but a few areas for improvement.

We come here at least once a week and usually order both the desi and English breakfast which we absolutely love. The staff are also so friendly and kind and are always more than happy to help.

The experience was exemplary, characterized by a warm and welcoming greeting. The service from the young lady demonstrated a high level of attentiveness and professionalism. The concrete cake was perfectly baked, and the chai had a harmonious balance of flavors. 10/10

This was my 2nd experience at Chainak. My first experience went really well. However, this 2nd experience started off well, with the brother on the phone being very accomodating amd providing us, the family of 5 with a booth due to my autistic daughter. It was busy, so the food came 20min into the wait, at different times. The food was overall pleasant but i expected more having a good 1st experience. We ordered a variety of food from the desi breakfast to burgers, biryani and loaded fries assisted with hot chocolate and mojitos. The hot chocolate was terrible and ruined the whole experience. It came luke warm with the chocolate powder clotted up sitting at the bottom of the cup, so it wasn't mixed properly. Upon bringing this to the attention of one of the waitors, he returned 15minutes later with another cup of hot chocolate, again, it was the same. I asked to speak with the manager, who came after waiting for 10minutes, who stated this is how the machine makes them and there is nothing he could do about it and offered other drinks from their menu or a hot chocolate from chaiwala next door but i politely declined highlighting if that was the case then honesty would have been the best policy instead of bringing a 2nd cup of not satisfsctory hot chocolate. Additionally, we were given the wrong loaded fries, upon bringing it to the attention of the waitor, 15minutes later, the correct option of loaded fries came. The chicken biryani we ordered was very bland with 3 small chicken pieces in there, basically looked like boiled rice, with a bit of garnish and seasoning the dish could have been elevated to a higher level. Overall, their desi breakfast , shami burger, chicken burger, keema loaded naan and mojitos were 5/5, however their customer service needs improving with more waitors needed. Best time to go would be when they are least busiest. Great value for money.

Came across this lovely little place which did halal breakfast and food. The place did not disappoint the cravings for desi breakfast and some light food on the go. The breakfast was tasty and to the point and the take out chicken in nan were flavoursome. Definitely recommend going or getting a take out of in the area.

Hidden Gem in walsall!!!! Need to try, Excellent food and extra lovely amazing sauces. They have mastered the art of sauce. Very unique that’s why I’ve taken friends there and Family, everyone says the same thing about the sauce. It is very tasty that brings the taste to the food. I’ve never been satisfied this much with any store in walsall as usually they are the same but this one is totally different and recommend anyone to try before accepting this feedback. I’ve been missing out for years but since I’ve gone in Ramadan time now I’ve beenn 4 times now. 3 of my favourite items Fiery chicken Nan Melt, masala chips and keema paratha. Burger was nice too but thought I highlight the 3 items first. If you never tried this place you will not get disappointed. Been going past this place for years but never been inside went chaiwala next door instead. Now that I tried their food and Tea, I will be always coming to chainak keep up the good work.. Sorry for pictures couldn’t take a better picture. Finally desert. The mix donuts is lovely nicely decorated but it wasn’t hot as I’ve expected it to be, I love my doughnuts to be hot. Next time will have to tell them to warm it up more before giving it out.

I go there for sehri in ramadan. I found food amazing honestly. Highly recommended. And best thing is food was not as expensive as it was tasty.

Worst channa and puri I’ve ever had, no flavours so bland and puri was so greasy and soggy. Food wasn’t even hot and tea was same lukewarm milky.

Food is always reasonably priced and tasty, freshly made paratha better than going next door to chai wala which is expensive and serve frozen paratha.

Amaar was very friendly and seemed a really nice person, very nice decor in the place too, will be here again👍

Place is a bit run down and could use some TLC. The chai was very milky and not nice. I literally bought my chai, took a sip and threw it out and went to the chaiwalla next door. Love the Palestine support and the games but needs improvement.

Very good place for authentic dodhpati chany paratha and puri I think I haven't find yet from anywhere which I can say it's authentic but so far it's good spot for breakfast or desi tea without condensd milk which rest of the places using

Came across this place and they make one of the best tea ☕. Instead of the powder based tea next door to them which I've also been too. Not badly priced either.

Sickening food and embarrassing behaviour from workers.

The place was cold, terrible customer service. They took so long to give us our food and didn't even have the courtesy to apologise for the long wait or even say that it would be a long wait. The place was empty and we were the only two customers. The men who work there were just sat having their own conversation. They even served someone who had walked into the place for a takeout. We had decided to leave the place due to the long wait and the man who worked there followed us out and questioned if we were going to pay for our food. I responded, "What food, as we were never served any". The man watched us walk into chaiiwala and 5 minutes later, he walked into chaiiwala and slammed a random food order on the table. He said, "Here's for wasting food" he was intimidating and aggressive and this was really unprofessional. My friend and I are two young women, and from the moment we walked into chainak, we felt uncomfortable. The male workers gave an unsettling atmosphere and did not care about doing their jobs. Please, for anyone reading this, avoid this place. I have never experienced something like this before, and I don't want anyone else to experience this.

For those of you looking for a simple South Asian breakfast at a very reasonable price, this local eatery in Walsall's ethnic area ticks all the boxes. At £6.50 per pop, you get tasty spiced omellete with chick peas masala and two parathas with karak chai. There was nothing to complain about either the food or service. The decor inside is simple, the cafeteria type of feel to it but clean enough.

The service was extremely slow and very cold in there. The food was awful the waitress just shrugged her shoulders when I told her. Paid full price and literally only took a bite out of everything the food wasn’t edible at all and wouldn't recommend.

This place caught me off guard! Everything was so fresh and you could tell it was made attentively. The pricing was so good that we thought we would be getting small portions lol, the naan had soo much keema in it (in a good way) again keema was super fresh as was the naan. I am so used to going to places that use frozen burger patties,& yes … I’ll keep banging on about how fresh the food truly was. I haven’t had a good burger like this in a while. With the Cheesy Chicken and Chips they were so generous with the portion sizing. We honestly ordered way more than we should have. San Sebastian was stunning and the chocolate ontop wasn’t sickening at all. Drinks were 10/10. I was so happy with my whipped coffee, wasn’t too sweet and still had a nice strong coffee taste. The grenadine was amazing; the only reason we wouldn’t get any of these items again would be to explore the rest of the menu. Customer service was also great. I am a foodie and have taken out time to write this honest review because I haven’t had good food like this in a while. Cannot recommend these guys enough hope your experience is as good as mine!

Friendly and polite staff. I had the karak chaii. This should be the very basic but it was watery. There was no taste but water. Obviously nobody had checked the recipe but signed off on it trying to maximise profits. I would not go back. Reply: I mean the attempt to deflect rather than improve shows why ChaiWala was busy with a constant flow of people and yours had 3 customers not including the staff having a pizza. If you want to take it as a personal attack then good luck 👍🏻

Recently we visited and tried their menu on a weekend. The restaurant was full which is always a good sign however it seems the staff are not well trained in prioritizing serving customers who are dining in rather than dishing out deliveries to Uber etc. We waited over 40mins for the food to arrive. We tried the Railway Omelette, Chilli Paneer Chips & Masala Chips also the desi tea. The food was absolutely satisfying and delicious.

Quite a nice place for a quick drink and out.

We ordered the desi breakfast and not so English breakfast with two pink chais. The desi breakfast was super mid, the egg was presented very poorly and scrambled up very oil. The paratha was okay and the masala beans didn’t taste like they had masala. For the English breakfast, the hash browns were too oily and the sausage didn’t taste the best, it was too soft to be a sausage. The pink chai was the ultimate let down of all. It tasted like rose flavoured milk with no sugar (which we had to ask for sugar) their recipes need improving overall . However the customer service was good with friendly staff, and the vibe of the cafe was mediocre as well.

Ordered desi breakfast on Uber, the porotas were very disappointing, previously I've had the porotas in the restaurant and it was lovely, soft and puffy. But this time it was more like a Chapatti, very chewy, tough even, not great to eat. This ruined the meal unfortunately. Other things were nice (eggs, spicy beans, tea) but the porotas let everything down

I recently had the misfortune of dining at this desi breakfast spot, and it was an experience I won't forget—for all the wrong reasons. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the chaotic atmosphere. The tables were sticky and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It felt more like a diner in disarray than a place dedicated to serving authentic breakfast. After finally being seated, we waited an eternity for someone to take our order. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disinterested, which only added to the frustration. When we finally got their attention, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Once our food arrived—over 40 minutes later—I was horrified to find that it looked as bad as it tasted. The parathas were soggy and oily, lacking any of the flaky texture I was hoping for. The accompanying achar was bland and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. The chai, which should be the highlight of any desi breakfast, was lukewarm and insipid—no warmth or spice whatsoever. To top it all off, the noise level was unbearable. Between the loud conversations and the clattering dishes, it felt like a free-for-all. It was nearly impossible to enjoy a meal in such a chaotic environment.I would like to give it zero stars but sadly can not give that

I’m sorry to give this review just only for the food. The staff was welcoming . Little girl was so sweet who took the order , her name was Misbah I guess . We ordered Desi breakfast & paratha kheema . We stop here our way to Manchester from London . After having a good look on review we were so excited to have Sunday breakfast at this place but it was very disappointed . Desi breakfast was stale - both halwa & chana was not fresh . Puri & paratha was good. Main dish failed very badly. We all had issue in stomach after having food here. I would never go back here:(

All round service, atmosphere and food is good. Parking is a little scearse on peak time. But a little walk gets some exercise out of you. Wait time is a little longer than anticipated each time an order is made. But worth the wait. Tea sizes are large, so the wait time is compensated.

This was our first experience here at Chainak and they did not disappoint or fail to accommodate us. The ambience was lovely. The restaurant was clean. The waiter was attentive, warm, welcoming and helpful. He explained the menu and made our experience individualised, nothing was too much to ask. The not so Desi' breakfast was flavourful, the spices were just right and the food and chai was so fresh and hot! It was an amazing experience! I would definitely recommend this very authentic south Asian Streatry! we will be returning customers.

Horrible experience. The puris dint look or tasted like puri at all. Halwa was so soggy and had an awful taste. Chanas tasted horrible. Felt so bad that we had to waste that food as we couldn’t eat that.

We did a detour from london on the way to Manchester decided to stop over here to have chai and snacks, glad we did it’s amazing food was really good and so was the chai friendly people and atmosphere will come again if passing though.
