This is what I would define as a community pub The bar staff were very attentive.. beer good and a good selection of drinks. A huge bonus is the Chinese kitchen inside. The food was perfect, I would recommend booking ahead as I dint think there is dedicated dining area. Food is cash only but that can be sorted at the bar,

I’ve eaten here before and the quality of food and service was good so was pleased to return for Sunday lunch. Excellent! My colleague had lamb, I had beef and both plates were commendably good, very generous helpings, excellent vegetables especially the cauliflower cheese. Highly recommended. Well done and thanks to the team.

I chose barbecue ribs in sauce, and a portion of house special fried rice. I ate a rib first, and it was horribly salty. I couldn't risk another one, as I have high blood pressure, and I need to cut back on salt, so I ate some of the house special fried rice, and I was horrified to find it just as salty as the ribs. Hubby had beef with green peppers in black bean sauce, with boiled rice. He looked over at Mr ( I hadn't said anything) and told me it was really salty, so it wasn't just me. Sam Pan really needs to watch how much salt they put in the food. I only went there because The Golden Wok in Church Hill was closed. I won't be going to Sam Pans again.

Really good food , very tasty , generous portions and a really nice family running it , we run a local pub and will be recommending this place to our guests :)

Read reviews and thought would try this as normal Chinese is closed Chicken Szechuan - had a funny after taste and was left after 3 bits of chicken . Beef black bean sauce- beef was chewy and full of gristle and sauce thick and lumpy. Chicken chow-mein very average at best Egg fried rich was hard like it had been warmed up Salt and chilli chips well was just salt chips no spice what so ever So disappointed and was waste of money

Went in there for first time, will be my last . pub was very dirty, heavily beer stained seats, young lads under 16 were playing pool ,while above was a sign asking if you were 18 ? . the toilets were also very dirty with broken toilet roll holder and no toilet roll to be seen and it was early afternoon . needless to say we didn't stay very long . the 1 star was for the Guinness , would not recommend

Absolutely incredible food and selection of wine! We pre-booked our table after seeing the offer in What's What magazine for a free bottle of wine with any 2 main courses - we were not disappointed. To start we enjoyed the hummus, grilled pitta, sourdough and olives. Plenty of food for two people - we couldn't finish the olives. Followed by the duck breast with a side of herby new potatoes, both were simply out of this world. You definitely pay for what you get for and the service was pleasant too. Having visited earlier in the year, the standard of food was exquisite then too. Definitely worth visiting!

Such a lovely pub - been a few times and it’s fantastic every time. The staff are so lovely, accommodating and friendly and the pub is in a beautiful setting overlooking the Shropshire hills. The food is excellent too - I tried their lamb and mint burger from the specials recently and it was so delicious - can’t wait to come again ❤️

I am on a family break and called in to Pete's after reading review's and also being recommended by the lady in the local shop. I ordered 3 sandwiches and two quiche salads to take out . I am so happy as the sandwiches were lovely my mother of 84 really enjoyed her lunch all my family to .I can also say the service was lovely quick but unrushed a lovely atmosphere also available for eating in great selection of hot food, salad's, sandwiches ,pastries,cakes definitely worth calling in to and priced well.

On a friend's recommendation our party of 4 booked a table for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and plentiful, the staff are pleasant and friendly and helpful. Very pleasant atmosphere. Will certainly be coming back again. Highly recommend.

Ordered cheese burgers and fries on Uber. Tasteless. Food was cold. Won’t be ordering again.
