Gardeners Rest in Stoke-on-Trent

On a friend's recommendation our party of 4 booked a table for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and plentiful, the staff are pleasant and friendly and helpful. Very pleasant atmosphere. Will certainly be coming back again. Highly recommend.

Lovely pub always full of locals, weekly entertainment, the new management are doing really well. Food is amazing has Friday night burger and chips, Wednesday morning breakfast club and Sunday lunches, be sure to book in advance for Sundays as normally sold out. But amazing food and service

Problem with soda water tap, not impressed with kids running around inside the bar when there is a garden they can run around.

Great owners can't do enough beers perfect not tried the Sunday dinners yet but heard perfect so far. And a damn good doggy friendly pub which always wins.

Had the best Sunday lunch for years today, at 2002 prices! Extremely well run and managed pub. Just little touches make all the difference. We're new to Staffordshire and the area and were made to feel very welcome. So pleased this will be my local. Great job Steve and your better half Tracy. Many thanks. Tim

Fabulous lil pub with massive beer garden, with covered seating areas. Fresh food, live music, snacks..so busy it ran out of food.

Visited on a Sunday. Very welcoming atmosphere, the beer garden was very spacious. Various draughts on tap including blue moon and carling. Pub food also served throughout the day. Came on a day when local bands were playing. Very enjoyable day for friends and family alike.

A lovely relaxing place to drink in. They only serve food on a Sunday, when they do a choice of 2 roast lunches. Very nice food and very good prices. The staff are very friendly. The garden area is recently made over and is a wonderful area to sit in, with lots of covered seating. Well worth a visit. PS. They serve food on Friday nights too, it's a Chip Shop evening, ie they serve things you can buy at a chip shop. Not tried Fridays yet but certainly will be doing.

First time here yesterday.Went to watch the football and what a friendly quirky little place it is too.Felt a good vibe as soon as we arrived.Very clean and ladies toilets have the ladies essentials in which is very thoughtful.Only thing is no gluten free beer or snacks but not everywhere does gluten free so we will definitely be back.

A proper pub, when there aren't many left. Great size beer garden out the back too.

Had a really nice visit. It was the first day open after covid. The owners and staff were really friendly. It cost less than £10for a bottle of beer, G&t, pint of coors and a fruit shoot. They are also kid friendly and have a small crazy golf course.

Sad to say that on my first visit to the new tenants, I thought that they would be more welcoming, they never spoke to me to ask how I was or if I was local, I did feel like an outsider. However the pub looks great.

Lovely friendly country pub. I asked for some food for an event and they provided a fantastic buffet, catering for vegetarians, meat eaters and everything in between! Very good value.

Brill, warm comfertable and relaxed; a nice place to have a moment's respite from the hurly burly.

A good stop off for a drink if you are cycling the Buddulph Valley Way. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

No real ales here .only bass what was not very nice.the place was full of children even after ten thirty.running around with parents oblivious to their noise.a beer garden set out like a nursery school.not recommend this pub
