Procured a few divine looking cakes with crazy brother, and saw the last remaining quiche…
O WOW! Quiche? It’s quiche ? Probably, no certainly the best quiche I’ve ever consumed. The balance, the texture, the flavour… quite amazing. Thank you
The tonkatsu tasted just as I expected. It was delicious!
The gyudon tasted a little different from what I expected. If you eat here, I recommend the tonkatsu.
We found this hidden gem a few months ago and absolutely love it here. The food is all fresh local produce and the homemade treats are always so tempting. They serve lovely coffee (the best tasting around) and the fresh tea serve in your own pot is perfect for any time of day. We have been to most of the local cafes and this is bar far the best and the one we would pick over and over again. Margo and her team are what makes this cafe different to others in the area and unique. They always take the time to have a chat and are invested in making you feel so welcome. Would recommend to anyone, they even do takeaway. What more could ask.
We will be back again very soon xx
What can I say amazing.2nd visit brought my kids and daughters bf. Great food service amazingly very help and friendly. Oh and their cakes are amazing. Please do visit them.
The Harp and Crown have moved to a model where they host different plant-based chefs in their kitchen. Last night we had the most creative Christmas themed menu we’ve ever had. Beautifully presented, original and good value. Pomme pave (we didn’t know what this was but it tasted amazing), and little jewels of celeriac that could be mistaken for a sweet were some of the highlights. A little gift box to take home at the end was a nice touch. We ate the contents of the gift box the following morning and the little mince pie and handmade mint cream in there were amazing. It is even more impressive that Thomas Wainwright the event chef (TasteOnTour) produced all the food on his own in the kitchen that night. Best food we have had for along time. 6 stars.
Very clean, organised barn stop offering a good selection of cakes and snacks. Also a great variety of drink choices. Clean and tidy tables and toilets. All offered on an honesty basis. I hope people respect this trust and pay for a lovely place to stop and refuel.

My other half had a portrait done by Luke of our gorgeous beagle who recently passed away. I couldn't fault it, it is perfect. The detailing was exceptional. Absolutely spot on. I was very emotional when I saw it
What a little gem
A small but perfectly formed little cafe with friendly staff
Sandwich absolutely packed with delicious moist crab
Unfortunately I missed out on wine as didn’t realise it was licensed but honestly the nicest. Crab sandwich I’ve ever had
A return visit with visiting family from Wales. Food great as usual, Jackie and Carl friendly as ever, always make you welcome. Family want to come back next time they are in Plymouth as they live in Wales.
A lovely, chilled out little cafe with the best flat white ever! Really friendly place that made me and my labradors really welcome. Healthy, yummy and friendly.....can't ask for more!
The pizzas here are off the scale delicious. The waiting staff are lovely and very helpful. My only criticism of the place is the incredibly slow service. Maybe another pizza oven would help? Waiting an hour for a pizza is not great!
However would not hesitate in returning as the food is so good.
Had breakfast there too. Great coffee but a plain croissant would be great - not a great selection.
Such a huge improvement. The last couple that had this place were so rude.
We had promised never to return however having sent was under new management we gave it another shot and I’m so glad we did, great food and really warm and hospitable service
What an amazing little tapas and wine bar.
Absolutely recommend this, amazing gluten free options and the quality of the food was the best I have had in a long time.
