Bull & Bar in Mendip

Went on a Saturday at lunchtime and got great burgers (one beef and one chicken burger). The fries were the best I've had for a long time. Draught beer available and very friendly service. Second time here and we'll definitely come again.

The second visit we made was planned where the first was a happy accident. It's worth booking here as the space is limited but definitely worth visiting for a meal. The food, service and drinks are all great and we'll no doubt be back again, sooner rather than later if the family have their way.

My wife and her friend visited yesterday prior to performing in the theatre. This was recommended as the best place in Street and we weren't disappointed. Freshly cooked and piping hot burgers and chips provided quickly by attentive staff who were very busy yet made time to chat and made us feel very welcome. The quality of the burgers was outstanding. Really different and thoroughly recommended. Excellent value and somewhere we will go out of our way to return. We have already booked our next visit.

Tor Rugby Club had a players dinner for 20, the service was incredibly timely, friendly and food was superb all round. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and the restaurant was clean, warm and we will certainly be returning!

Excellent food and Service. The best Kids burgers we've seen. We had a sharing platter which was excellent with delicious home made sauces.

Impromptu visit and got sat at front downstairs window table and were allowed to eat with our dog. However, would recommend asking ahead if can accommodate dog in winter as maybe only that table that could do so. They have small courtyard in back and rest of tables are upstairs on various levels, so again, ask ahead if you have mobility issues. The food was fresh, well cooked and obviously hand prepared, we both had chicken and I would like to try their brisket and burger in future. Staff friendly and prices fair for quantity and quality.

A last minute find on Sunday avo and what a find it was, this place is a gem! Wonderful friendly welcome and service by the 2 waitresses and the most incredible roast dinner! Restaurant was nice and clean and we sat at great little cosy table by the window. I am very fussy about roasts but they really nailed the good traditional roast, full of flavour and the perfect crackling, presented beautifully. Thank you so much we will definitely be back soon x

What a fabulous independent restaurant! Such a phenomenal space and the food - WOW … we will be back and bring more friends to experience this gem of a place!! We came as a party of 4 adults and two children (7&13) and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves and the food. Fantastic service from TILLY & MIKA … Food 5stars, experience 5stars … more than just a restaurant - an evening out!

Went for lunch whilst out shopping and oh my word the best burgers we have had perfectly cooked and well presented even the fries were really good also the staff very friendly we will certainly be eating here again and will certainly recommend to friends.

I was staying in Street for work. I tend to spend a lot of time in hotels and eat out at restaurants A LOT. This place had been recommended to us by our hotel concierge, and so we tried it out. SERVICE - excellent. The waiting staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and pro-active about drinks refills and dessert menus (but not in a pushy way. Just in the way a friend would make sure that you weren't wanting for anything) FOOD - AWESOME. I had the Dynamite Chicken burger which was HANDS DOWN the best chicken burger I have ever had. Right level of heat, freshly made coleslaw, melted cheese, crispy succulent chicken. Perfect. My colleague had the brisket burger, and he too is raving about it being the best burger ever. I only wish we'd splashed out on some dirty fries! I'm just annoyed that its not a chain, and I'll have to do the 150+mile round trip to visit again! If you are in the area, and like a burger, do not miss out!

Best brisket burger I have ever had. Popped in by chance after the Bear was fully booked and what a big surprise this place was. Amazing food and great staff just a shame we aren't local otherwise we would be eating here regularly.

Really a hidden treasure so don’t let the frontage fool you. There is a large upstairs eating area and a nice courtyard that gets a surprising amount of sun. The food is exceptional and considering how good it is the prices are reasonable. Also the bar has some great craft beers which I love. Finally the staff are really lovely, been as a boozy couple and as a sensible family and loved it each time.

First visit here and it won't be our last. Excellent service fantastic burgers and friendly staff. Reasonable prices,Brilliant bottle ciders, Rhubarb cider was awesome. This little gem of a place is right in the high street. Well worth a visit.
