We were walking past here and popped in for a coffee and perhaps a bite to eat. What a lovely find. A lovely friendly welcome, a great cup of coffee and a lovely sandwich. The place was spotless. However, as always for us, the people are the biggest part of the experience and the team here were just lovely. Will absolutely go back there again
We stopped here half way on a long drive to break it up. Very good food and the staff were lovely.
Our little boy was wearing a superhero T-shirt and shortly after we got our drinks, along came some colouring in the form of a printed copy of the same superhero.
This was lovely attention to detail and the same care was shown when taking his food order and the negotiations over how many scoops of ice-cream he wanted (our kid wanted one, he was asked if he was sure that he didn’t want two, and they settled on one and a half with some sprinkles and sauce!)
An elder statesman on the dining scene and the reasons for its continued success is based upon a team that knows precisely what their customers want and delivers it.
You are not going to find foams, reductions or food being served on shovels here.
What you will find is an extensive menu based on simple, high quality ingredients that have been lovingly prepared. Backed up by well trained staff that are attentive without being overbearing.
There is a reason this is the place that springs to mind for any celebratory meal - or indeed any excuse to eat here!
We only had 3 kids meals as wanted something light had kids burger kids nuggets and fish gougens the best I've had anywhere and the staff and service are first class will be back
Great place for a very tasty lunch with friends after visiting Great Chalfield Manor (National Trust). A quirky place in terms of decor and setup. The food was all home cooked and freshly prepared and good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked in advance.
A wonderful little café with excellent scones and cakes, and very friendly staff. Even our dog was treated to water and dog ice cream. The quiet location invites you to linger.
UPDATE:
Sadly Caffè Italiano has now closed.
Carlo and family are the new owners of this lovely little restaurant as Mamma Nadia has retired. We've been three times since Carlo took over and I can say that the place is as good as it ever was. It's lovely to see his wife and very small children in the place. We went for lunch today and the place was full. A mixture of couples and families it was buzzing. This place needs the support of customers old and new. You'll get a very warm welcome and great food!
Always good. Our regular eatery that is a lovely little piece of Italy in Trowbridge. Family owned and run with food freshly prepared. We absolutely love the place.
What a racist Russian guy working there. I ordered 3 chicken shawerma and 3 lamb doner. The guy started making the wrabs, a guy came in and order a mix; he stopped making my order and served the other guy, I told him you should at least asked me to serve him and told him he is a racist; he stated that guy is his friend!!!
I will definitely let friends and family know about this.
