What a great day out! Staff all so welcoming from arriving to departure! Animal feed available to buy. Entry not as expensive as other farm parks! Options to have your picnic outside or in a purpose built building! If you use inside space they just ask you clean up after yourselves! Also an amazing cafe available with lots of home made cakes! There were free colouring sheets available for children. The park is well set out with lots of maps showing you where you were! There are plenty of picnic benches dotted around and a lovely play park! I think we fed most of the animals! Such a great variety! Also you can buy plants the students have grown the echinacea plants looked so healthy! We spent about 3 hrs here worth every penny !

On arrival (and departure) the car park had several loads of dog mess in it and when we tried to enter the pub at the front door that was marked 'ENTRANCE' it was shut and locked. This was at 12.07 and the pub was advertised as opening at 12.00 midday. Eventually a woman (the cleaner or a member of the bar staff?) opened the door. The way to the bar was blocked by two large dogs. A second women (the landlady?) then appeared with bare feet but neither attempted to move the dogs to enable us to reach the bar. I informed the landlady that there was a lot of dog mess in the car park and she responded by saying "I haven't been out there this morning." I could only see one draft larger so I asked for a pint accordingly but apparently the pump wasn't working. With that we walked out.

A little while ago, I saw a TV programme “Greggs: Secrets of Their Best Bakes” in which some top-class chefs tried to replicate the Greggs Sausage Roll. The program had explained that this brand of sausage roll is much-prized and is sold daily in impressively huge numbers. Now I really enjoy a good sausage roll, so a few days after seeing the programme, and being out at lunchtime, I called in at this Greggs branch and bought a couple, and also a cup of tea. The lady at the servery warned me that the sausage rolls had just been taken out of the oven, and would be hot. I sat and waited about 5 minutes and sipped (my also hot) cup of tea whilst checking messages on my phone. Then I bit into the first sausage roll, which was still hot, but didn’t burn my mouth. The pastry was certainly light and flaky; making that slight soft crunching sound as I bit into it. The meat was reasonably flavoursome, but the texture was just all wrong for me. Yes, I know … ‘a million lemmings can’t be wrong’ but the texture of the meat filling in these sausage rolls is just all wrong. The filling was just a light paste; like a mousse. I’ve had toothpaste in my mouth that had more density. It was so insubstantial as to be almost non existent. Then I received a phone call and as a result the second sausage roll was eaten when it was a bit cooler, but it made no difference at all, it was the same texture. I did get a little more of the flavour, which was pleasant; but the lack of texture dominated my senses, and I found I could not enjoy the experience. I have eaten sausage rolls since I was a nipper: home-made by my mother, in pubs and cafés, shop-baked take-outs from other outlets, and the sausage rolls here at Greggs are undoubtedly the most disappointing so far.

Not sure why this restaurant gets such BAD reviews. I had a takeaway for 3 people and therefore cannot comment on service, but the food was acceptable. Not the best curry in the area but certainly no where near as bad as the previous reviews suggest. I have rated the food average, not bad, not brilliant.
