food was amazing. paige, beth, charlie, michael and karen were all very attentive and the service was spot on !!

Food was good but service wasn't. Took 10mins from 1st meal to last meal to be brought out (there were only 7 of us). Halfway through a young waitress came through the pub with bundles of McDonald's food. She hadn't been very attentive to anything other than another young lad and the grab machines since we arrived. Then dessert - only half the things were bought, all before any main meals had been cleared, and the delay between first and last pudding being served (we only ordered 4!) was so long that the first one had finished their pudding by the time the 4th had arrived, and then after that they bought the strawberries that were meant to go with the 1st pudding! Poorly organised, poorly staffed.

Good food, but they forgot to serve my onion ring horse shoe. Other than that the service was good. There were too many flies around the restaurant, making my overall experience subpar. One fly landed on me causing me to spill my drink. In fact the flies are on me whilst I’m writing this review.

We visited this pub for the first time. We ordered roast dinner for three the young man brought out the side dishes, we then waited over 5mins for the main meal still didn't arrive,I then went up to the bar to find out where the mains were.the young lady went to find out, we eventually got them, but the turkey was hard round the edges, the Yorkshire puddings were not quite done. It seems they were sitting on the side and had to be microwaved,the cauliflower cheese was hard couldn't cut it. I was appalled we had no apology about the muck up. I will never go back there with my family again.

Absolutely hateful place. Do not visit. Very average food and an awful atmosphere. The only redeeming factor was the very friendly staff.

Popped in for lunch as working in area and for £12 ( I think ) had the 12oz gammon with egg and chips. can't go wrong with the price and quality. My colleagues both enjoyed their meals but one had a rump steak which he asked for medium rare but came out more like well done but he still enjoyed. Would say for the price it's great. Nice people and good atmosphere.

If I could put no stars I would, the food was disgusting we came for my little boys birthday. The drinks were flat, the food was dry and disgusting, chips were cold and burnt and dry chicken. The table was dirty and sticky after reserving a table. The menu had a bird feather inside it, the menus were dirty and greasy. Was a waste of money completely, so disappointed. Won't be coming back again, there was also no toilet to change a baby, staff didn't explain you had to go and order the food. Couldn't even. Complain as no staff to be seen. Then to top it off other people weren't even watching there children.

Popped in for the first time recently for a bite to eat after my workout and was thoroughly impressed with the food i was served. The staff were so accommodating Kaci, Paige Beth and Wes thank you so much! I appreciate what you did for me and making my experience enjoyable! The horseshoe doughnuts were delish! Will defo be back again soon😋

Poped in for a drink but ended up having food as you do . Kids loved the play area people were friendly Had a lovely waitress called tiayarne ( yes had to get her to spell her name lol ) she was really good at interacting with my daughter who at 4 had loads of questions. My daughter hasn't stopped talking about her . We will be back

Really impressed with the staff here: Kaci, Charlie, Jamie and Damien all went out of the way to make sure that our large group of ten people were looked after. The food was good and the atmosphere friendly.

Food was nice, just what you expect from hungry horse, but suffers the old pub issues, sticky tables ect.

Amazing Service from Charlie and Paige on the bar, great value buy one get one free burger deal. Would recommend Charlie was absolutely amazing!

I just visited this pub as my family lives nearby. Booked a table for a time, we arrived on time. Service was very bad as we had to wait at the bar for over 20 minutes before ordering our meal. There was only 1 serving. People kept pushing in and the bar staff didn't say anything to them. I will not be returning.

Lovely meal and atmosphere, my service from paige and little T was wonderful, we will be back.

Nice welcome, only reason 4 x was becouse reserved table, seats were mucky, and menu's sticky.

2022 Great place, 2024 august recent experience, mini mixed grill, ordered and delivered in 15 minutes, 10/10, it was quiet thou, Warm chips,warm bullet peas,warm sausages, ham was nice , and the 2 chicken pieces were inedible as both had quarter of an inch of dried out chicken on one side, even the steak knife had a job cutting through them, 2/10 for the food.

Food was lovely, I over ordered, portions are a great size, food was hot and represented well. Jamie was attentive, he was serving food, drinks and an all rounder, his customer service and the other bartender Charlie was second to none, we have not been for a few years and have been back 3 days in a row and have no complaints. Recommended and easy on the purse strings which is a bonus as well.

Thanks to Jamie, looked after us well and with a smile as always, friendly service and tasty food.

Jamie made our family meal extra special by going above and beyond and making sure everyone was happy 😊

Ok place overall, but someone has definitely dropped the ball on our visit today. I ordered fish, and we ordered a camembert to share. Camembert wasn't available, and they only had 2 fillets out of 3 in the fish dish I ordered, but offered to replace it with scampi, which I've gladly accepted. In a less than half occupied pub, we've waited for an hour for our food and lost all appetite by then. When it came, the dish itself looked like that from a kids menu, just plain boiled fish with a slap of tomato sauce on it, paired with completely unseasoned veg, and scampi to replace on of the fillets came in a small sauce ramekin. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to complain about it online and would rather say all that in person, but no one has checked on us either. Basically, too many things have gone wrong. Don't think we'll be back. Rant over 😂

First time coming here, down for our honeymoon The staff were amazing especially Charlie and holly. Food was out of this world, steak cooked to perfection and requirements The atmosphere was a perfect balance between local, and country pub/ restaurant Plenty of parking, offers on food but never lacking in quality

Absolutely appalling we went to have dinner we had to wait 20 minutes just to get drinks and when we went back to order our food we were in the queue for 20 minutes and it was obvious we were going to be in the queue for at least another 20 minutes so we left, one member of staff taking orders doing drinks and doing glasses, pretty apparent why the place is making no money

Had a family meal today and can honestly I don’t think I will be returning. A few had roasts well they looked like they were from frozen, roast potatoes burnt. Ordered side of cauliflower cheese and oh my I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. Over cooked cauliflower a drizzle of what was meant to be cheese sauce on top bottom of bowl full of water. Had to send the burger back as the bun was completely burnt. Toilets were horrendous.

I had a surprise 18th Birthday party for my daughter on Monday. Staff and customers helped me put up decorations. Food great, staff caring and helpful, great atmosphere. What a success, thank you.

Came today to visit my granddaughter Beth at work usually only come for a drink but had food today which was very good and lovely crispy fries. Excellent service from the floor staff Little T, she was lovely and quick to solve an issues. The manager Holly was very welcoming and had a bright smile on her face when talking to her. Definitely will be back again for food

Bar service was OK, but staff not very knowledgeable on some drinks,ordering the food by the app is definitely quicker instead of queuing to order

Have avoided this place. Came in and was greated by a smiley Zoe, nice to see she is still here. She was showing Michael, the table layout. He smiled and seemed willing to learn. What a turn around, will be back soon. I also have to mention George too… it’s a comp apparently!

OK I can't find a way of leaving a second review which is a shame because some time ago I left a poor review but we returned last Wednesday to give it another go. The manager was true to her previous reply and the improvement in cleanliness was astounding, the food has improved a lot but still has some way to go. The overall service was very good and I noticed that some better staff had returned. The toilet I complained about in my last review was closed, so obviously something was being done about it. Overall the pub has returned to it's previous status of reasonable food at very good prices which is what I want from this class of pub. I recommend the curries which come with a free pint on CURRY WEDNESDAY.

Great place for cheap and tasty food. The Midget blonde girl knows how to look into my eyes and make me feel fuzzy inside as she pours my pint. The food was amazing.

Went in for food with my daughter and my grandson, we were made to feel very welcome by Holly and ceri. Very family friendly would recommend, will definitely be going again!

Deciding last minute to have a meal out we booked online, table was reserved. Arrived and was promptly and politely shown our table. Ordered via the app and drinks arrived quickly afterwards. That's where a great experience ended, waited a fairly long time for food, which is fine if its worth the wait, it really wasn't, chicken although cooked through was basically wet, sausages still had transparent skin, batter on fish soggy and prior to food arriving we ordered a second drink that still hadn't arrived when we decided the food was inedible for own tastes, so we just left its a shame as we've eaten here often in years gone past and for a budget option it's always been very reasonable. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Hopefully just an off day for them but judging by the ease to park (always used to be full) im guessing things haven't been so good in recent times.

Went for lunch here today and the service was outstanding the bar staff Beth and Paige were polite and fast, the floor staff Chloe and Tiayarne (sorry if spelt wrong) were amazing, they kept the tables clear and were very friendly and attentive, all of this is a testament to the Manager Holly who clearly does an excellent job at leading the team and she was getting stuck in with them during a busy period.

Ceri was the most helpful person about our table issue. She came over a number of times to check on our food and that everything was ok. Ceri is a legend and made our evening.

Went for a meal Tuesday 7/5/24 with my aunt. Wasn’t sure about trying here as had not been for a long while… What a transformation! Car park was full - always a good sign and we were greeted by Linda a familiar friendly waitress. Staff were really chatty and pleased to see us as we were regulars until the previous manageress took over causing staff to leave and standards to fall through the floor. Drinks were delivered within 10 minutes of ordering and food arrived 5 minutes later and was delicious! Glad to put this pub back on our list . If you haven’t been for a while - give it a go! The new manageress has turned it around and the staff have returned!

Came for my nieces birthday and had an absolutely wonderful time. Food was amazing and came out quickly and was piping hot. Will definitely be returning. Big shout out to Ceri, even singing happy birthday in Welsh
