Longs Arms in Wiltshire

Ok place overall, but someone has definitely dropped the ball on our visit today. I ordered fish, and we ordered a camembert to share. Camembert wasn't available, and they only had 2 fillets out of 3 in the fish dish I ordered, but offered to replace it with scampi, which I've gladly accepted. In a less than half occupied pub, we've waited for an hour for our food and lost all appetite by then. When it came, the dish itself looked like that from a kids menu, just plain boiled fish with a slap of tomato sauce on it, paired with completely unseasoned veg, and scampi to replace on of the fillets came in a small sauce ramekin. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to complain about it online and would rather say all that in person, but no one has checked on us either. Basically, too many things have gone wrong. Don't think we'll be back. Rant over 😂

Good value food, quick service, pleasant staff.

I cannot fault the staff or the food here. The staff were amazingly attentive and honestly couldn’t do enough for us informing us on deals and just being overall friendly and welcoming. The food came and it was exceptional, both me and my brother had the chicken banquet and it was amazing. Overall both the staff and the food were top quality and if you are after decent food, decent staff with a decent atmosphere then the Longs Arms are the place to go

I took my husband out for a quick lunch today and I have to say the food was great my husband commented that the Guinness was particularly good our server Beth was brilliant really funny Will definitely return

I regularly eat at the longs arms and I find the food varied and good value for money! The service is spot on especially when zoe and Jamie are working they are both quick, friendly and easy to talk to I always enjoy my time there I often recommend to friends and family

Went here for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of amazing customer service! In particular a young girl called Paige I believe, she was extremely polite and made us all feel very welcome ! She went above and beyond for us and we are very greatful for your patient and kind staff. Will definitely be recommending 🥰

Food is back to being amazing. Hot and delicious and worth the money. Big thanks to the chefs that night Hollie and Shan. Amazing work guys! Our server Rob was welcoming as always and happy to deal with our special requests!

It's not as good as other Hungry Horse restaurants, something is missing.

Great food and service very helpful staff

The staff were lovely, but there simply weren't anywhere near enough of them for a Saturday lunchtime, and as a result, service was incredibly slow. Food was pretty good, and the value for money can't be argued. Outdoor play area for the kids was good too. Plenty of parking was helpful as well.

Lovely food, temperature inside pub a little on the cold side, but other than that fine, thank you 😊

The staff are so friendly especially Karen and Beth always welcoming .lovely place to have food or just a drink . Always have a decent glass of new zealand savignon blanc at a really desent price.

Food was delicious and very good value. Staff were very attentive and friendly, made us laugh with "hello ladies" when we are a man and woman 😂 Would highly recommend to anyone!

Service was,shocking. Waiting 20 mins to even get seated. People behind were seated before us by front of house. My food came out cold partners was hot. Plates stone cold. Bar staff was more concerned with mobile orders on screen than serving people stood at bar for 20 minutes. Wouldn't recommend.

As a family of 7 and a baby, the only issue I had was the lack of bar staff to take orders, the food was excellent and the service we had from Linda was excellent always checking everything was OK and if we needed anything else, found the food better than before

11oz steak was 90% gristly. Almost impossible to cut.

We were served by Karen and she was lovely a credit to the pub. But I have to say the food was all cold which was a shame.

Ordered as a group of 11, there wasn't a long wait for food and service was very friendly. Only downside is the fish was slightly overcooked but everything else was really good.

Not enough Staff couldn’t cope but staff tried there best. Should have sent away walk ins. Deal with reserved customers & only a certain amount at a time so chef/cook isn’t overrun. Reserved table for 6 but had problems from start. Plates & food were cold which as a waitress & cook that’s worked in a kitchen the plates should be warm. Food was sent back & reheated in microwave! Chicken wasn’t cooked properly on 1 meal. Food came out at separate times when should all come together kids were served last ( when should have been first hungry kids not happy kids) . Cutlery was dirty. Waited a long time. Will not be back for food again.

We like Hungry Horse restaurants and this one does not disappoint. We had a lovely meal, served hot and quickly. If you are in the area, this is a good place to visit.

Terrible food, had to change our order twice as they didn't have what we ordered. The service was horrific all round. The pub was quiet and I still have no idea why the food took HOURS to come out, plus no one on the bar to order a drinks. We would have left, however u have to pay before hand, not after your meal. The one group they did have in had disgusting behaved and manners. My son was wasn't happy at all.

Had the best experience when I visited, Beth was the wonderful young lady that took care of us whilst we visited. Will be back

Not what it was. Food poor, near cold chips, pie overcooked, gravy sliceable. If it wasn't handy and cheap I wouldn't visit.

Had family's get together- staff really friendly (Paige was excellent-great service with a lovely smile). Very pleased with overall service and food. Food quality was excellent- didn't have to wait long. We will definitely come here again when we visit.

Popped in for lunch today with my husband as we were visiting family in the area, I was starving but couldn’t decide so asked the server for a recommendation and went for the “quadzilla burger” she told me it was massive but I didn’t expect quite how big it was!! my husband had Lasagna …. The assistant manager Ceri who took our order and recommended the burger also served us she was supper friendly efficient and polite, even though she was busy with a Christmas party she was attentive to us and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you we will return.
