Trowbridge Indian Takeaway in Wiltshire

Not sure why this restaurant gets such BAD reviews. I had a takeaway for 3 people and therefore cannot comment on service, but the food was acceptable. Not the best curry in the area but certainly no where near as bad as the previous reviews suggest. I have rated the food average, not bad, not brilliant.

30 quid and it was bloody awful! First of all I asked for a king prawn purée but they would only do it as a main and argued about that, then ordered a king prawn vindaloo (which tasted like burnt spices and tomatoes) a stuffed paratha, a pilau rice and a saag paneer...we didn't receive the saag so rang up and was told that I hadn't ordered it and was made out to be a liar, the man on the phone was very rude!!! Do not order from here ever!!!!

After driving back to return one veg masala for having raw bits of meat in it I was shocked to find the replacement was the same so I rang them up to be accused of being a liar and putting the bits of raw meat in myself then got hung up on!!

No conducir, así que tuvimos que tratar con lo que me dieron, pero cómo me podría comer un pan nann con eso! Chocante.

Tardamos 90 minutos en llegar. La comida estaba tibia en el mejor de los casos y poppadoms estaban aguados. Pedí un pollo Baltimore BWI Airport y había más verduras de pollo. En general, no es una gran experiencia y no volveré

Sauces were tasty but more potato than lamb in the vindaloo and the meat in the korma was dry and tasteless. Onion baji were soggy as if microwaved and was surprised to find no popadoms despite ordering a meal for 3 people. Won't order again.

Food delivered after 75 minutes while estimated time was 45 minutes. Wrong order and cold food! I paid full bill online but driver asked additional £5 - I think they should respect what they advertise.

Incorrect order sent - asked for chips was sent a salad! Didn't eat the salad as it wasn't very appetising. Offered me a free starter next time I order but to be honest I wont order again so useless to me!

Food always arrives hot and never have to wait to long for delivery. I personally think this is the tastiest Indian take-away around for miles! 😊😊

Unbelievable good food. Had the meal for 1 but enough for two easily. Thing is, when you order and specify 7.45pm and it turns up at 6.30 when your putting the kids to bed.....???? Not best pleased.

The tikka masala was ok but I've eaten far better local ones with much more flavour. When the food was delivered, the tikka masala box had been crushed and all of the curry was in the bottom of the plastic bag. All of it. I had to pour the curry onto my plate from the bag but it had also soaked the rice box and naan bag. It was a complete mess. there were some free popadoms which was thoughtful but as these were completely soaked by the curry, they were not edible.

Ordered for specific time, arrived bang on time. Beautiful food, love the sagwala. Great service all round.

Wonderful Mushroom Pilau and as for the Chicken Tikka Naga? What a beautifully flavoured curry - and pretty pokey in the heat department too :-) Highly recommended takeaway restaurant :-)

Food took over 1 and half hours to arrive, I called after 1 hr to get the typical 'it's on its way and will be there shortly', when it did, the guy who delivered apologised, took £3 off the bill and advised me the shop had made a further mistake in that the chicken tikka madras I ordered was in fact lamb. Not overly bothered at this point..imagine my surprise when I found chicken korma. For curry fans who know, when you are set for a madras and then presented with a korma, well it just went straight in the in. We shared the other dish of garlic chilli chicken, wish we had thrown that in the bin too, it was disgusting. Never ordering from here again.

Ordered a chicken tikka madras and a garlic chicken tikka, they said 45 minutes to an hour. We waited one hour 15 and rang them, food was on its way we were told. Another 30 minutes and food arrived as we were on the phone ringing them again trying to find out where our food was. The driver apologised and said there was a mix up and the madras is lamb rather than chicken. We were so hungry we said it would be fine, not what we ordered but we would eat anything at this point in time. Opened the cartons to find chicken korma! Worst part was yet to come.... It was horrid! Both meals ended up in the bin. Waste of money. Ordered a pizza instead.

Item missing from order, eventually delivered but food bland. Chicken dry and overcooked and bhaji's burnt. Only nice part was the peshwari naan which was tasty and well cooked. Will not use again I'm afraid.

Delivery time was requested at 6 p.m. Delivery was about 10 minutes late, despite the fact that the takeaway is only half a mile away. When I checked the order the delivery time had been changed to 6:10 by the restaurant, but we weren't informed of that, Food was hot and tasted great - loads of chicken. Delivery driver was polite, definitely recommend this takeaway

Meat was not cooked I found it difficult to chew and also I could not taste any cheese in nan bread it tasted like normal nan bread. Delivery was on time.

The food has no taste it's either over cooked or under cooked! Onion bhaji were raw! The food was dry and lamb was fatty and over cooked. Tried a madras and it tasted like a the chef had poured a bottle of tomato pure over it! Complete waste of money the worst Indian takeaway ever!!!!

Tandori king prawn curry (only 5 prawns) was like a runny sweet & sour Chinese dish. The madras tasted like tomato soup & was also very watery. First but last time I order from here. Yuk

Watery COLD food.. Took 50 minutes to get here. The raita tasted gone off, the popadom wasn't crispy. The only good thing was the garlic mushrooms and there was hardly any of that.. Chicken was dry and I definatley wouldn't reccommend.

The food was disgusting and tasted watery not to mention the puddle of water that appeared on our plates once dished up! Complained to the manager and was told they had never had that problem before so after arguing my point got manager to come to my house to collect the food and see how bad it was so I could get some of my money refunded (he charged me for 1 curry and 2 rice that had been plated up). Got a partial refund but no apology!!! Will never order from there again - disgusting!!

Tastiest takeaway I've had for a while. Polite and honest staff. Delivery was 10 mins late but they phoned and let me know. I understand why they are busy it's great food! Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would definitely recommend

Delicious food, I moved from London to somerset several years ago and this is by far the best I have had. Full of flavour, tender meat and superb quality - i won't go elsewhere now! 😋

Quick delivery, although didn't know pathia was spicy. It stated sweet and sour. However was nice but just too spicy for my liking.

Food was nice but delivery time was ridiculously slow. Ordered at 6.30, estimated delivery time was 7.15. Rang at 7.40 and was at first told they hadn't received the order, then told that the receptionist had missed it. Told it would be delivered in 20 minutes (i.e. 8pm). Finally it arrived at 8.20pm, almost 2 hours after placing the order. Delivery guy was very apologetic and nice and food was hot. But I wouldn't recommend using this takeaway if you're a) hungry and b) wanting the whole family to eat together before putting your child to bed!

Eaten here loads and very time it gets delivered earlier than expected and the quality is fab. Some takeaways leave you disappointed with the amount of meat in the dishes but not here.

Lovely takeaway as always haven ordered a few times and chicken samosas are best I've tasted. Lots of variety in dishes on the menu with something for everyone. Quick delivery too.

After nearly an hour it finally arrived even though we live 2 minutes away. It was cold as delivery guy walked and didn't have food in a hot bag. The poppadoms were burnt. The food was very sub standard. Really disappointed and won't be using again

Absolutely disgusted with the service or complete lack of it. Free delivery is a fake, I had to pay, waited for over an hour and a half and no food. Called takeaway and you would have thought it was my fault. No offer of refund on delivery or for this terrible service. I will absolutely not be using this takeaway ever again. DO NOT USE THE WEBSITE TO ORDER
