Have been using them for years and hands down the best Indian takeaway in Salisbury.

Good delivery, decent price with discount, but average food. It was palatable but nothing that stood out. The price reflected the quality.

I usually really like Saffron, and I ordered Fruity Murgh. However, the sauce tasted literally like nothing, the chicken looked like leftovers and wasn’t even tikka as described, and a few pieces off fruit chucked in. Extremely let down.

My favourite Indian takeaway in Salisbury having tried them all. Delivered promptly and piping hot. All the dishes ordered were lovely.

Excellent as usual. Food could have been a bit hotter (in heat not spices).

After working in an Indian take away as a teenager I’m a bit of a curry snob! I’ve lived in Salisbury for 6 years and have consistently had amazing food from Saffron even on busy bank holiday weekends. We have occasionally tried other curry houses and are always disappointed and realise saffron really is the best in the area! Our family who visit from Dorset often ask for a saffron take away as it’s even better than places near them! Thank you for the consistently alway cooking an amazing and super tasty curry!

I’ve always use this takeaway. It really wasn’t as good as normal chicken was very chewy.

Please read instructions, I asked for the delivery to brought round the back as our front door is blocked. Front doorbell rang, had to move stuff to open the door 🤷

Sadly not as nice as it used to be. Both our curries were bland and tasteless. A real shame as have had lovely food from here in the past.

I ordered biryani from this takeaway , and it was a disaster!!!! The biryani lacked any aroma or flavor whatsoever. It tasted like cooked plain rice with a few pieces of unseasoned meat thrown in. It was a complete disappointment, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for authentic biryani.

matar paneer had very few pieces. chicken korma had very few pieces. Raglan josh was ok.

Generally Saffron is the only takeaway I get that is usually hot and it was this time. Food was decent as ever too, and it was within the scheduled time slot.

food was terrible and took two mouthfuls and chucked it in the bin and went hungry. chicken was hard and chewy sauce was not great rice was not great mushrooms were not cooked and nan was under done. Not good as it was not cheap.

Saffron Indian takeaway gets five stars from me! 😊💖⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was absolutely delicious. My favourite was the starter, garlic prawns — the flavour was delicate and delicious, not too garlic heavy and it tasted like it also contained other aromatic spices which made it absolutely delicious. The prawns were cooked perfectly. Next time I’d double up and have this as a main unless it’s also on there as a main dish! To follow I had garlic lamb which was also very nice. Delivery was quicker than the estimate, by a very friendly person. Definitely recommend! 😊

I’ve given it 4 stars because the quality of food was good but it was the worse chicken tikka I’ve tasted. It had a weird flavour and I think what was a ton load of coconut flakes in the sauce + only 4 chicken pieces in it.

Got a takeaway from here last night, a chicken korma had been added with spicy bits and tasted very different, chips were not cooked enough still a bit soggy and worst of all was the naan bread completely burnt, was rock solid could hardly break it up, very sad as i was getting a takeaway from here weekly and now this has happened, i will be moving to another restaurant.

Had a wonderful meal from here tonight! We ordered a selection of dishes and all were full of flavor and cooked to perfection! I recommend this takeaway if you are looking for a tasty indian!

Disappointing meal. The onion bhajis and samosas tasted like they were cooked in old vegetable oil. The meat was quite dry, however, the vegetable biryani and sag aloo were good. Such a shame as was looking forward to it.

Do not order a takeaway from this place, they are rude and the takeaway doesn’t even turn up, promised on way for nearly two hours, never arrived, terrible service.

Chicken was very big and full of brown veins and tubes. sauce was watery no taste. Real shame as I loved this Indian

Sauce was very watery compared to normal and the onion bhaji were very spicy which they usually aren't. We order here all the time so unsure if the chef/management has changed since our last order

I have had butter chicken from several indian restaurants,but this was totally different.It was too sweet,yellow and had to throw away.

The food turned up it was luke warm

There was a mistake with the order but they apologised, gave free popadoms and were really upset. The food was excellent and I will order again. Really good communication and a super tasty evening. To err is human and I will not mark them down.

Normally rate Saffron 5 stars but unfortunately this time the chicken was dry. Flavour of the curry and the rest of the food couldn’t be faulted.

Very dissatisfied by our meal Chicken meat was very tuff like leather tasteless and dry, the damask was so spicy that nobody could eat it , garlic naam bread had so much garlic on it no one could eat it , pupadoms were stale but onion bhajee was ok ! So won’t be ordering again

Wasn’t hot on arrival although not cold. Otherwise a tasty meal although overpriced for this set meal in our opinion.

Watery, bland curry. Lamb Tikka was very dry and chewy. It all just lacked flavour. Quite disappointing.

Sundries all nice good apart from chips which had the stale kinda texture. Totally un impressed with the tandori platter, if I was served that in a resturante I would have walked out. Strange take on a garlic chilli massala, it was so rich with tomato sauce and lacking in garlic I didn't recognise it as this dish. Could just be me, but u won't be trying it again from here.

Great curry and delivered nice and hot. One item missing from our order but it was rectified and delivered to us within 20 minutes which was great.

Missed one of our dishes but were quick to remedy it.

Waited 1 and a half hours to receive a half portion of chicken tikka masala and all the food was cold. The driver was nice and she apologised for the delay. But if its going to arrive late, it should have arrived hot and the normal sized portion.

Food was delivered quickly. Food was mostly very tasty. The rice was very oily but sadly something in what I ate has given me a very bad gut. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Poor quality of food. 2 dishes were very creamy and flavour-less. Tikka nann had no tikka flavour Will not use them again. Delivery lady was lovely and had good customer service.

Jalfrezi and dupiaza were beautiful, as was the keema rice. Asked for chicken tikka on both curries. Received normal chicken which was very disappointing. Free poppadoms which was nice. Ordered a keema naan. Literally no meat at all inside. Absolutely gutted. Just had spots of red on top. 0 filling. Convinced you could eat it as a vegetarian. First time trying this Indian , such a shame as the curry was lovely. Hopefully that wasnt their idea of chicken tikka as that would be even worse. Fully let themselves down with the naan and the chicken. Unfortunately will be going back to my usual (Shah jahan) from now on.

Hi, We absolutely used to love your food etc, 4 to 5 stars, but must say that in our opinion things have changed dramatically. 1 1/2 hour wait, cold, hardly any lamb and chicken in 2 dishes and 2/3 of pilau rice. Sally lamb was extremely bland whivh has been a favorite in the past. Really disappointing experience the last few orders! Last time you also got our order wrong, so it is fair to say that we aren't impressed anymore 😢 What a great shame. 👎

Watery, tasteless, first time ordering, never again, no wonder it was such a quick delivery. House Special, mostly tasteless prawns, disappointing.

The biryani and mushroom bhaji was greasy. The keema nan was burnt and the keema was sparse. I won't eat there again

I order the chicken tikka from here as it is described as 'spicy', I don't whats happened lately but it has not been spicy for a long time. The last time I had it I asked to make sure it was the spicy one and it was hotter a vindaloo, basically inedible. I didn't say anything this time and I got just a regular one, which I could order from anywhere. If its no longer spicy you need to change the menu description!

I’ve got to say this is by far the best in Salisbury food was amazing, we got the set meal for 2 but could have served 4 the tikka masala and bhuna were full of well cooked flavoursome meat and there was plenty of it and thankfully not drowning in oily gravy.only let down was there was only 1 portion of rice which wasn’t a large portion either and as it’s for two the one portion wasn’t enough, that aside I don’t have any other complaints at all and despite the rice issue I would actually order this again. The delivery guy was so friendly and lovely all in all my experience was enjoyable

Cold when arrived and not fresh

Love Saffron Takeaway food is delicious delivered piping hot. Would highly recommend ordering from them.
