The best restaurants in Amesbury West Wiltshire South West

Called here for the second time en route to the West Country. Lovely all day breakfast - sausages etc for husband - smoked salmon, avocado , salad and two poached eggs on toast for me. Very good, very generous, great value. So much nicer than calling in to Solstice Park! Easy, cheap parking nearby.

Went in yesterday to be greeted so warmly and made to feel at home. I had a flat white coffee which was freshly made and really tasty. I also noted a beautiful smell which was essential oils and that got me asking more. I went out sniffing my arm then returned for another cup and to buy one or two oils. Unfortunately my husband came to pick me up from the car park and so I left without but took 2nd cup as a takeaway. I Don't suppose I will be passing any time soon . But if I did it would definitely be my coffee stop. I learned alot in a few minutes about these oils but I also felt so welcome and so relaxed during my visit. Thank you both such lovely people

I ordered a pork red curry and the tofu fried rice. Very nice. Fried rice was fab but maybe a bit more tofu would be even better. The red curry was lovely and the pork was a good match. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you.

We celebrated our Grand Daughters 17th birthday…The service was average…We had to ask for a wine by the bottle menu which was in fact a better deal…The menu was not as impressive as the website suggests…I ordered lobster ravioli at $23.95 and received 7 not homemade with no crabmeat or tomatoes. One of my Grand Daughters ordered the beautiful NY Strip medium well; it came out late medium rare. When returned fifteen minutes later it was perfect but the entire table had finished eating…I hope we experienced a night where key kitchen help did not show up for work; otherwise this restaurant needs to tighten up to stay in business…

What a great find. We chose Amesbury to meet as a family as we live 2 hours away from each other and Amesbury is in the middle. We are 7 Adults, 7 children, a baby and a dog! The carvery was so good. We were served generous portions of very tender and tasty meat (beef, chicken, pork) and a pie. The choice of vegetables was extensive, well cooked and again, very tasty. Friendly staff delivered great service and made us feel very welcome. A traditional pub serving great food.

Genuinely the best Chinese in the area, food always arrives piping hot Delicious and fast delivery. Also love can order online.

Fish was great with crispy batter. Chips were terrible, not edible at all. They appeared blistered and were hard and chewy. They went in the bin.
