Was so impressed when they called ref our need for 1 dish to be gf and df. Sadly, the food was not the best we've had. The dishes were lacking flavour, the beef was undercooked, and the large pancake roll for £4.40 was definitely not that large, more slightly average. Prawn crackers were probably the best thing out of the order.

Order food was not good at all first time in a long time as it was disappointing to say the less. Most definitely won't be ordering from here again nice staff but the food wasn't good.

How do they keep going. Worse £20 I have ever spent, rice is like stog, so over cooked, chicken (no matter what dish you order ) taste like its boiled and added to the sauce. Even the spring rolls are degusting, burnt on outside and raw in the middle. I wont be returning EVER

This is my regular chinese and I have always rated them over the others in the area in terms of food quality and flavour. Not only that but I recently ordered some food close to closing time, the food arrived and unfortunately I recieved the wrong item.. but before i could even process it, i recieved a phone call from a very very apologetic woman admitting the mistake to me and sending the correct food immediately to recify the fault. For me this customer service is perfect, so thankyou!

I cannot comment on the food as it never arrived. I accept that these establishments are often busy. After 90mins we made a call to check on our order status to be told “it is out for delivery”. 30 mins later another call and told “it has just been handed to the driver”. Oder early (2hrs before you plan to eat) but don’t expect any level of customer service, of course the other option is to order elsewhere. I would have accepted the apology but to be lied to led me here.

Food arrived 2hrs after placing order!!! Food cold when arrived. In my opinion, If a restaurant is experiencing a high volume of delivery orders then maybe they should temporarily postpone the delivery service until they are in a position they can cope with orders and deliver food on time, a delivery time that they have given. Not really any sincerity in way of an apology or surprise at the customers disappointment. My order was over £70 and the food nor service was at a standard to justify the cost.

Friendly family atmosphere but the cost and quantity of our meal was very disappointing. We were accommodated with a tofu dish with side of rice and noodles. This came to £28! We usually pay this in Glasgow city restaurant for our dinner meals.The food was okay but nothing special and we really felt that £28 for 2 small takeaways of minimal portions of tofu with rice and noodles was really pricy. This is the most we have had to pay for a Chinese takeaway. Pity as the family seemed helpful but way too pricy.

The best Chinese I have had in a long time, coupled with fast and friendly delivery. My only ask would be the option to purchase drinks on the delivery service :) Definitely reccomended!

It's probably one of the best Chinese takeaway meals I have eaten. I say probably only because I don't regularly have a Chinese meal or even consider myself as a coniseur of Chinese food, but I know what I like. I had the beef and green pepper in black bean sauce. The meat was cooked well and tender and was complemented well with all the other ingredients. It was a very enjoyable meal as was my partners sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style. All staff were friendly and attentive... I will be back!

Was staying in amesbury and searched for a Chinese to get my fix and first one to pop up was Chans... came in for an order of salt and pepper chips, Singapore chow mein with sweet and sour chicken balls. Brilliant food! One of the best I've ever had with very very generous portion sizes. Will definitely be back next time I'm in amesbury!

Best Chinese in the area, amazing food

This is our 3rd time going to CHANS, one word amazing. They are all extremely warm and welcoming. All the staff even say "goodnight" and "enjoy" and the lovely lady at the desk has always greeted us with a smile. The food has always been awesome and we have never suffered from that salty aftermath of the usual Chinese. The one where it feels like someone has stuffed a sponge in your mouth. I highly recommend CHANS

Ordered normal choices, the large spring roll was not large, and didn't appear to be home made ? Chicken and sweetcorn soup average Rice was very 'wet' , not very nice. Be aware !! portion sizes are very reduced, we used to have leftovers for next day snack, but not anymore 🤨😕 Delivery was prompt and courteous. We now realise new owners in situ.

My partner just went and ordered us our first Chans Chinese. We ordered salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken wings and sweet and sour chicken balls all very fresh and did not disappoint. Will be ordering from here from now on thought the free seaweed was a lovely touch as well.

Had a dinner tonight for my birthday and it was the nicest Chinese I've eaten in a very long time.

They told me that Chans has been under new management since Nov 2022 so I went to try the food.. it tasted amazing and service is very friendly. I would recommend all to go and have a try! :)

I ordered only twice at this place. Both times ware very poor. It's kind of a place that when you're hungry then you'll not gonna put it in a bin despite the lack of any taste. Singapor noodles, no curry taste to it, no shrips...they taste like poor chow mein with chicken with rice noodles. Beef with black pepper sauce...I had to add a soy sauce to feel any taste in it. Boiled rice is poor quality, mini spring rolls came without any sauce. Frozen grade. I wasn't expecting authentic chinese food but this was tasteless even comparing to McDonalds.

Just ordered recently and to be honest I'm very disappointed. I have had many Chinese takeaways and that is unfortunately the worst so far. All I can taste is deep fry oil, everything dry,without taste and very greasy. Probably cardboard box would taste better. I'm sorry but for the price of the dishes the quality is really poor. 1 starter, 1 main dish with delivery almost 15£. Don't recommend.

First time using phoned to order they picked up promptly and then put the phone down within 5 seconds not going to try again.

First time we visited very friendly, family run take away and tasty food. Had no trouble paying with card or cash and the food was ready in less than 20 minutes. However, the latest experience on 08/05/22 was some of the poorest service we have experienced. We had cash for the exact amount ordered and my friend went to order, collect and pay. He reported back that the employee was: 1. Rude and abrupt 2. Badly trained ….she did not know the menu or the numbers on it or the rules regarding having to rice or noodles with the main dishes. (There is an option on the paper menu to drop these.) 3. Refused to accept cash. Nowhere is this mentioned in their T’s and C’s and the staff member said “Not accepting cash tonight” …without explanation and in a completely arbitrary fashion. Overall my friend found her level of customer service poor to say the least. On the first experience I would have happily returned. Based on this one, I will not and will not reccomend it to others.

Ordered from here today, very easy to place the order and it came promptly and was piping hot. The sweet and sour chicken was tasty. Also the Thai Green curry was tasty too. Both meals tasted fresh. I'll order from here again.

So disappointed. Everything we ordered smelt and tested old. The noodles were dry and crispy too. It was just gross. It ended up in the bin.

Just got home from picking up my order. Rice is missing and the chips look like they have been re fried a dozen times. Disgusting

Best Chinese that we have found in the area. Very tasty grub and you can see the chefs in the kitchen while you wait which I find pretty reassuring. Will definitely be using them again!
