This has to be one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve eaten at outside of Asia. For a start, the dining room is a lovely airy place with a nice ambiance, the staff are very nice and attentive but it’s the food itself which is the star. So often seafood and chicken are over-cooked in UK restaurants but here they were and the spices were just right. The chef is clearly very talented. One of our nicest meals this year.

Excellent food amazing staff couldn't ask for more

My experience was staying at the Antrobus hotel after visiting Stonehenge, and being delighted by the Siam Smile Thai Kitchen, that is situated within the hotel itself. There is a menu in the room and small details help to distinguish the arrangement that is clearly symbiotic; like the modern desk, mirror and potted plants that surround the menu in the room. The menu is well constructed and explained, the dishes are interesting and the owner Joy has a lot to be proud of here. I chose a vegetarian meal, Vegetable Tempura, Tofu Panang and Steamed Jasmine Rice - the flavours and cuisine were well balanced and presented. I had two large Thai beers and sticky toffee pudding afterwards. The menu says nothing about vegan and gluten-free options, but Joy listens to her customers! Cold Thai beer is stocked by the restaurant, but the hotel bar can send other options to your table in the attractively decorated wing. The key points are the food and the service, worth going back and maybe visiting their sister shop - Miss Bubble (street food).

So dissapointed, after reading reviews I thought we were going to have a great meal, portion sizes very small for the price, beef dish was all fat and couldn't eat it, curry tasted odd, we left hungry and unhappy, complained and asked what they were prepared to do and they offered 50 percent off, but my husband stood his ground and said I am only going to pay 25 percent of the bill and she reluctantly agreed but was very pleasant about it considering, no chop sticks either no atmosphere will not be returning.

OMG that was so amazing. Brilliant service, brilliant food and amazing presentation. The lady looking after us was so nice and was talking to us about other things to do in the area. We are from Western Australia and this place has produced the BEST THAI FOOD we have ever had. Thank you so much and a big well done to their new chef.

When you first walk into Siam Smile Thai Kitchen you cannot help but feel welcomed, immidiately you notice how beautiful the room and decor is, giving you an authentic Thai experience. Your sat promptly and the hosts are most accommodating and friendly, nothing is too much. My partner and I stumbled across this gem a few weeks ago. We absolutely loved it! So much so that we had to return for the next special occasion that came up. Luckily his birthday wasn't far away. We returned tonight. The food was as it was the first time, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The lamb curry is the best my partner says he has had. The fact that we travelled 2 hours to come just for the food speaks volumes as we have never felt the need to do this before. However, everything about this experience was 10/10. I can confidently say we can't wait to return, counting down until the next time. Thank you so much to Joy and the team for the whole experience.

DO NOT GO FOR A BUFFET. I love the food here. My husband and I are big eater. But we went here one day to try the buffet as recommended by the owner, however the waitress (perhaps relative of the owner) who was serving us got fed up after ordering 1x for appetiser, and 2x for the main menu. We got an unpleasant attitude.Took away the menu and she gave us an evil look, she is rude to be honest. Although we love the food, we will never come back. Please, if you say its a “BUFFET” make sure you inform well your waitress. What an attitude! She is just nice to people who can give her a tip!!!

We always love eating at Siam Smile in Amesbury but a couple of weeks ago we held a double 80th Birthday celebration there. It was such a a special evening; the food was delicious and all our family members were raving about it the next day. Everything was delivered to the table piping hot, great friendly service and a super atmosphere. I really recommend it for special occasions like this...we were a table of 20. It worked brilliantly.

This is a hidden Gem in Amesbury. Certainly the only place worth wining and dining in if you want to treat friends and family. It's extremely good value for money. Very affordable and the food is cooked to perfection with a lot of love and care. There is an all you can eat £20 menu option! 😋 atmosphere is great with lovely Thai decor and beautiful carved wooden chairs. Don't hesitate to book. The owner is very hands on with service and a joy to be around.

The setting, too, was delightful. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience, and reasonably priced. Will definitely eat there again the next time we are in Amesbury!

Visited Amesbury this last weekend of 4th March 2023 and visited Bubble Girl for some fabulous bubble teas. Discovered that the lovely Joy, the proprietor also owns the SIAM SMILE THAI RESTAURANT situated within the Antrobus Hotel in the town. Having never experienced a Thai meal or restaurant I decided to book a table for that night. I was delighted that I did. On arrival the welcome is extremely polite and the ambience created by Joy and her team is wonderful. I was given helpful advice about the menu and what each dish contained. The main meal was delicious followed by ice cream served in a half coconut shell. Price wise I was pleasantly surprised too! I can highly recommend Siam Smile to you and particularly anyone who has never tried Thai food. You will not be disappointed!

I went there as a lone diner and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff made me welcome with just the right amount of communication so I didn't feel like I was sticking out like a sore thumb (always a concern when dining alone!). They have a nice range of Thai beers, which got things off to a good start. The menu has lots to choose from and is well laid out. The food was amazing! I had soup followed by a lovely sweet and sour chicken dish which was well seasoned and packed with flavour. Whilst I wasn't going to have a pud, they offered me New Forest Ice creams.... I couldn't say no! Perfect evening meal for the solo business traveller!!

Souper Douper : 10 out of 5 from me. Cleanliness, ambiance, staff attentiveness were all top notch. The food was delicious - best Thai for miles around - very fresh. The Chicken and Lemongrass Chefs Special got my taste buds dancing - succulent chicken and so many Thai herbs and spices! WOW!! Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant, nice atmosphere and great staff. Unfortunately food was awful. Fish cakes tasted off so couldn’t eat, main was chicken which was hard. All served with iceberg lettuce. Unfortunately felt sick all night. Disappointing.

Joy and her team are excellent hosts. We've visited several times now and recently took our 2 boys for the first time. They loved it and can't wait to return.

My wife and I recently dined at Siam Smile restaurant and we were blown away by the exceptional quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. The service was top-notch, with the owner Joy being attentive and hugely knowledgeable about the menu. To top it off, the decor was elegant and inviting. Food was okay , rice was a bit cold and my friend had plastic in his meal when he took a mouth full. But you didn’t have to pay extra for the plastic as it was £33 for two currys alone all in all I would only go back for a social drink maybe.

Out of all the places I have visited, this is probably the worst experience I have ever had. We knew that the place wasn't cheap from the beginning - £5 for a small bowl of rice is a laughable and between £12-15 for a curry and your looking at around £20 for a main. We were prepared to pay these prices but the food itself and portion size was disappointing. We ordered the spare ribs, plain noodles, panang chicken, beef massaman along with jasmine rice. The ribs were OK but nothing special. The panang chicken lacked flavour, the rice was hard (felt like it could have been yesterday's rice) and the carrots used in the beef massaman tasted as if they had gone off. We brought this up with the owner who had a word with the cook who said that there was nothing wrong with the carrots. In the most places I have been to, they would have apologised and offered a replacement dish but not here. My wife went on and ate the food bar the carrots. When the bill came, we brought up the fact that we were not happy with the massaman and ended up having an argument with the owner. At the end of the day, they deducted £6 off the bill (the curry was charged for at £15). Would not go back again - the food here is very average. Our favourite Thai (Ting Tong Thai) is 100 times better - both food and service.

A very nice dining room and tasty food. The prices were quite reasonable and the staff were efficient and polite. The only thing that let down this venue for me was the slightly shabby toilet.

Disappointed is an understatement, I asked for no lemongrass in the dishes all of which including the the Thai starters came with lemongrass. Unfortunately I am highly allergic to lemongrass and makes me very unwell. So didn’t eat much apart from the rice. Not the best Birthday Takeaway Meal.

Delicious authentic Thai food. With friendly staff.

While the Thai curry was full of flavour, a table of five were served in drips and drabs over about 20 minutes, with what was supposed to be romp steak (but clearly want thanks to all of the gristle in it) arriving over cooked with Adobe cold chips. They offer a pub menu, but the Thai chefs can't cope with cooking it.

Just had my first Thai ever. It was absolutely delicious ! Good size portions and great service, including the delivery. Definitely recommend !

Was looking forward to my dinner as hadn't eaten all day. But quite disappointed to be honest. The food tasted like it was just thrown into the container with all the ingredients and hot water added for the gravy...there was a lack of seasoning big time. Definitely overpriced for the quality you're getting. 1 Star was for the Rice and the Spring Rolls.

Amazing Owner and Staff. They treat you like Royalty. Just beware that if you want anything else apart from Tiger Beer ( Booze Only) you have to use the bar in the hotel across the hallway.... 20% off was a nice bonus - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. It’s a must visit

A pleasant enough restaurant, within the Antrobus Arma Hotel in Amesbury. The room is large and sparesly decorated, overall it seemed to lack soul. The food was good and tasty, although we did doubt the authenticity of parts of it. That said most foreign cuisine is corrupted to suit the British palate so you cannot fault the team at Siam Smile for trying to adapt to their client base. A worth effort but not up to five stars.

Very friendly staff...it's in an old fashioned hotel. We went on a Saturday and there was a wedding at hotel as well so lots of noise. Food was good but we waited a while for main course.

There is a car park more a less opposite the Antrobus Hotel where the Siam Smile is located but beware as even disabled drivers have to pay in this car park. The Siam Smile restaurant has a lovely view of the gardens at the hotel and the room is nice and airy even in this hot weather. The restaurant now does a buffet Monday & Wednesday but you can still have the a la carte on the buffet evenings. There is also live music on the first Monday or Wednesday of the month but check with the hotel for details. I decided to go for the buffet option although my wife went for the a la carte option and I decided to go for the mixed starters which were all very good but I really enjoyed the chicken satay with its lovely thick sauce so had an additional portion of those - at no extra cost on the buffet deal. For my mains I had a red chicken curry which had just the right amount of heat for me and came with excellent jasmine rice. The service was excellent and didnt complain when we changed our minds - a number of times - and we look forward to returning soon.

The restaurant is small in the Antrobus Hotel. Had the mixed starter which was delicious. We had the red thai curry which was very good and delicious. Would definitely go again. The process were slightly high but the food was good quality which therefore I feel balances. Would recommended. Good takeaway service also.

Siam Smile is a Jewel in the Crown of Amesbury, you will find it inside the Antrobus Arms Hotel, Siam Smile is run by Joy, who is a Joy, she makes you feel VERY welcome,and is on-hand to advise on the Menu, the night we visited there was also a Buffet Menu, which was splendid value, and it is all cooked fresh, nothing being kept warm and dried out in Pans. The food was just divine, and they adjusted the spicing to our taste. They had a good selection of Thai beers. In the summer there is space to sit outside in the lovely Gardens. Siam Smile is a must if you are down to visit Stonehenge. The Antobus Arms Hotel is famous for hosting the Beatles, and there is a homage to them in the Reception area.

A gem of a restaurant in the back streets of Amesbury. Food and service second to none. Best Thai food since moving out of London. Will definitely be paying a return visit. Might try the Monday night as much as you can eat for £17.50.

This is Amesbury’s best kept secret. Unlike other restaurants in the town, it’s not immediately visible from the road as it’s located in The Antrobus Hotel, almost opposite the church. The food is incredibly fresh, authentic and truly delicious. And the service is second to none - traditionally Thai - and the staff are a absolute delight.

The best Thai restaurant in town for the first time visit we really enjoyed our meals here at Siam smile .first class service and friendly staff .highly recommend .we will definitely be BACK ,!!
