Absolute delight, a little gem. Great ambience, coffee, cake and staff. Undoubtedly worth a visit in a very friendly village.

Our favourite pub, amazing food, lovely staff, and all of it made to run like clockwork by the inimitable Alex - a tour de force.

Our group of 9 friends had 6 Festive meals and 3 ordinary meals. All were totally delicious. The staff were friendly, patient and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or food! Thank you so much The Bell at Ramsbury - we will be back even though for most of us, it was a 2 hour car journey each way!!

Genuine Country pub perfection. Great, friendly service, accommodating staff, really interesting and flexible menu for adults and kids. Good beers, fantastic atmosphere, log fires and board games. Awesome

Really great food, interesting menu but not overwhelming and a good mix of classics and new, as well as some pretty unique dishes. Atmosphere on a Friday night was lovely, and what I really liked is that although the food was top drawer this is still a proper pub and manages to retain that ambience. Friendly and efficient staff, a good wine list and nice to be somewhere busy and thriving.

Went to The Pelican for Christmas lunch, £95 per head. It was most disappointing, not what was advertised. Half glasses of champagne, Turkey that was certainly not a fresh one, hardly any vegetables, no pigs in blankets, no tea or coffee, or even a mince pie. Will certainly not be going there again. I had a better Christmas dinner in my local pub for a quarter of the price, and that had fresh turkey.

Excellent country pub with friendly staff and wonderful food and drink. Specials available each week which complements their standard menu. Desserts are fabulous especially the variations on the cheesecake. Definitely worth a visit!

Not the first time I have been for lunch at the Pelican and it won't be the last. This pub is amazing and the menu choice has something for everyone. I've visited several times with friends and family and have always had a really good meal here. The staff are really helpful and if you are a dog owner this pub is dog friendly.

Simply awful. Food cold and poor quality. Never seen a skinnier piece of fish or drier steak. Thank goodness there was a decent beer.

I so wanted to give it a 5 but charging a 10% service charge in advance is just taking the Mick. An extra 10 % for a pint poured in the bar, outrageous. I paid more for my beer as a punishment for eating there whereas if I’d just bought a beer and gone away I would been charged the proper amount. However The food was fabulous, the staff were attentive and helpful. I’ll go back again but will order drinks separately at the bar. I’d like to choose if when and how much I’d like to give as a tip. They let themselves down badly with the service charge policy which is a shame as everything else was exceptional.
