Absolute delight, a little gem. Great ambience, coffee, cake and staff. Undoubtedly worth a visit in a very friendly village.

Cracking little cafe in a lovely village next to the old forge. Quaint little courtyard out the back. Well worth a visit will certainly visit again.

Great experience, and the owners have done an excellent job of creating comfortable spaces with seating etc. We liked this very much and will need little excuse to visit again. Jan looked after us and helped to support the warm reception. All good.

Dropped in for tea and cake after a walk but couldn’t resist the cheese scones so had one of those too. Delicious 😋 all served by 2 very lovely and welcoming young people. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

Dropped into this cafe for tea whilst on a walk round the village of Aldbourne. The cafe is upstairs above the old forge building so in good weather it's probably best to sit outside. There is indoor seating but most seating is up some fairly steep stairs. Service was excellent and the tea, coffee and cake we ordered arrived promptly. Recommended for a visit if you are in the area.

A lovely warm welcome as we arrived a little early. We were shown to a lovely table overlooking the pond where the locals were going about their business. Proper tea (tea leaves) delivered to the table in a dainty China tea pot with a woolly cosy and accompanying China tea cup and saucer. Perfect tea and a generous size of carrot cake to go with it. My little companion enjoyed her lemon drizzle cake and hot chocolate with marshmallows. A very cosy tea room with a lot of warmth andcharacter

Charming staff and wonderful selection of teas and coffee. The cakes were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the sausage rolls as well. Lovely gem of a place.

On an impromptu visit to Aldbourne we popped in for a cuppa in the garden of this cafe. The homemade cheese scone with chutney was the best I have every tasted and the walnut cake was delicious too! All of this and a friendly atmosphere means we shall be making a return visit soon.

There’s always a warm welcome from Kate, Neema and the staff. They have created a lovely relaxed atmosphere, both inside and out. It is worth travelling miles for the tasty homemade cakes, a perfect traditional pot of tea and the genuinely friendly service. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Lovely place for a cup of tea and slice of cake. I had a freshly made fruit scone with jam and cream and my daughter had a cheese scone with chutney. Service was friendly and decor very cosy. Outside seating available. The other cakes on offer looked good from brownies, coffee and walnut and a very nice looking bake well. Will definitely go back to try something else. Time at The Forge is our go to place to escape for a quiet cuppa and piece of cake. Situated above the old forge building in Aldbourne, we entered a forgotten world of amazing, personal, friendly service. Not rushed. Just lovely. A warm welcome from Kate and her wonderful staff. Tea and coffee responsibly sourced with care for everyone. Homemade cakes, soup and scones. No teabags here just leaves, tea strainers, milk jugs and the lost art of cake forks. Only problem we had was what to choose. All this in a beautiful, lovingly restored building. What more could we ask. Time does fly by at Time at The Forge and before we knew it with our tea, coffee and cake all finished, we just sat for a while talking. No phones, screens or 21 Century distractions, just talking. Wonderful service, food, drink and friendship. We will be back to spend more time. Thank you.

My mum and I have been meaning to pop into mirandas for a few months and we finally did today; safe to say we were blown away! The food was homemade and delicious and the drinks were lovely. I would definitely recommend the mint hot chocolate, made with chocolate buttons! We will definitely be back again soon!

Called here for the second time en route to the West Country. Lovely all day breakfast - sausages etc for husband - smoked salmon, avocado , salad and two poached eggs on toast for me. Very good, very generous, great value. So much nicer than calling in to Solstice Park! Easy, cheap parking nearby.

We stopped in Jackdaws coffee House, I was with three other friends and we had been riding our bikes in the local areas, we all ordered a drink and panini, when I ordered my drink I asked the male person if I could specifically have my hot chocolate made hot, I could tell by his response that he wasn't really interested , he had my money and that was all that mattered, and low and behold when the waitress brought my hot chocolate it was just Luke warm, I then had send it back to be heated, also my friend ordered tea, his panini arrived at the table and he asked the waitress if his cup of tea was coming, he then waited again and asked again, then a waitress came and asked what the drink was, all in all he asked a total of four times for a cup of tea that he had paid for, infact he was first out of the four of us to order, none of the staff in this cafe are English, maybe they don't realise in the uk we like hot drinks, the service in the cafe is absolutely useless, they like to charge you a good price for drinks, but don't deliver on service, I would never go back I would find somewhere else. What a let down.

Really wonderful and incredibly friendly independent café/wine bar; very accommodating with a great array of coffees, teas and hot chocolate that can made according to dietary requirements and restrictions. Alcohol is served from 12 with a good range from old and new wine and beer. Thoroughly recommend The Cellar; it is a hidden gem! and will definitely be revisiting!

Lovely loose leaf proper tea, proper coffee, and great cakes. Genuine staff who obviously like working there. A better class venue than the other stock coffee outlets. Be aware, though, may be full due to its good value, take outs is an option.
