Absolute delight, a little gem. Great ambience, coffee, cake and staff. Undoubtedly worth a visit in a very friendly village.

Cracking little cafe in a lovely village next to the old forge. Quaint little courtyard out the back. Well worth a visit will certainly visit again.

Great experience, and the owners have done an excellent job of creating comfortable spaces with seating etc. We liked this very much and will need little excuse to visit again. Jan looked after us and helped to support the warm reception. All good.

Dropped in for tea and cake after a walk but couldn’t resist the cheese scones so had one of those too. Delicious 😋 all served by 2 very lovely and welcoming young people. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

Dropped into this cafe for tea whilst on a walk round the village of Aldbourne. The cafe is upstairs above the old forge building so in good weather it's probably best to sit outside. There is indoor seating but most seating is up some fairly steep stairs. Service was excellent and the tea, coffee and cake we ordered arrived promptly. Recommended for a visit if you are in the area.

A lovely warm welcome as we arrived a little early. We were shown to a lovely table overlooking the pond where the locals were going about their business. Proper tea (tea leaves) delivered to the table in a dainty China tea pot with a woolly cosy and accompanying China tea cup and saucer. Perfect tea and a generous size of carrot cake to go with it. My little companion enjoyed her lemon drizzle cake and hot chocolate with marshmallows. A very cosy tea room with a lot of warmth andcharacter

Charming staff and wonderful selection of teas and coffee. The cakes were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the sausage rolls as well. Lovely gem of a place.

On an impromptu visit to Aldbourne we popped in for a cuppa in the garden of this cafe. The homemade cheese scone with chutney was the best I have every tasted and the walnut cake was delicious too! All of this and a friendly atmosphere means we shall be making a return visit soon.

There’s always a warm welcome from Kate, Neema and the staff. They have created a lovely relaxed atmosphere, both inside and out. It is worth travelling miles for the tasty homemade cakes, a perfect traditional pot of tea and the genuinely friendly service. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Lovely place for a cup of tea and slice of cake. I had a freshly made fruit scone with jam and cream and my daughter had a cheese scone with chutney. Service was friendly and decor very cosy. Outside seating available. The other cakes on offer looked good from brownies, coffee and walnut and a very nice looking bake well. Will definitely go back to try something else. You can also collect visit stamps to get a free drink once complete

Time at The Forge is our go to place to escape for a quiet cuppa and piece of cake. Situated above the old forge building in Aldbourne, we entered a forgotten world of amazing, personal, friendly service. Not rushed. Just lovely. A warm welcome from Kate and her wonderful staff. Tea and coffee responsibly sourced with care for everyone. Homemade cakes, soup and scones. No teabags here just leaves, tea strainers, milk jugs and the lost art of cake forks. Only problem we had was what to choose. All this in a beautiful, lovingly restored building. What more could we ask. Time does fly by at Time at The Forge and before we knew it with our tea, coffee and cake all finished, we just sat for a while talking. No phones, screens or 21 Century distractions, just talking. Wonderful service, food, drink and friendship. We will be back to spend more time. Thank you.

The table we sat at was grubby. As I have cancer we always take disposable wipes to ensure hygiene. A necessary item as the table hadn’t had a good wipe all day. Probably for a goodly while given the state of the small round container that housed the sugar. I was tempted to give it a clean - but didn’t wish to pick it up. Our food order came promptly and was like any other relatively fast food. Acceptable. The staff were friendly and polite and the apple juice very good. The cafe is obviously popular given that it was quite full - but Malmesbury itself has become over-touristy and is in dire need of a sweeping brush or ten. The price was acceptable for three people but next time we shall return to the Abbey cafe.

Went in yesterday to be greeted so warmly and made to feel at home. I had a flat white coffee which was freshly made and really tasty. I also noted a beautiful smell which was essential oils and that got me asking more. I went out sniffing my arm then returned for another cup and to buy one or two oils. Unfortunately my husband came to pick me up from the car park and so I left without but took 2nd cup as a takeaway. I Don't suppose I will be passing any time soon . But if I did it would definitely be my coffee stop. I learned alot in a few minutes about these oils but I also felt so welcome and so relaxed during my visit. Thank you both such lovely people

Wendy's is such a delightful place! We parked in the car park and met old friends for coffee here. A delightful walk along the canal to Little Bedwyn, round through Chisbury, and back to Wendy's for a delicious lunch. The menu is extensive, the food's delicious, and the staff very friendly and welcoming despite being so busy. We managed to resist Wendy's fresh-baked cakes, but they looked sublime. We couldn't have asked for more. Great Bedwyn is fortunate indeed!

Called here for the second time en route to the West Country. Lovely all day breakfast - sausages etc for husband - smoked salmon, avocado , salad and two poached eggs on toast for me. Very good, very generous, great value. So much nicer than calling in to Solstice Park! Easy, cheap parking nearby.
