This used to be a great place for lunch or tea in the Courts Garden in Holt. Sadly it is now closed. A great loss. The only problem with it was that it was too popular and one sometimes had to wait for a table.
Went for birthday drinks and meal with friends. Was our first time there and we were all so impressed. The food and cocktails were phenomenal, and the service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend
For any coffee connoisseur this is THE place to go! Quality cuppa every time. Staff always warm and genuine. Sit in and enjoy the ambience or grab a cup and sit in the cathedral grounds only seconds away.
Menu is over priced for what you get snd the set menus are very ague not mentioning how many of each item you get. £8.50 for a breakfast consisting of a measly - 1 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 hashrbowns a single egg and luke warm beans. Toast not even included. As a minimum for this to be worth the value they should be serving 2 sausages and including toast. The brekfast does include a tea or coffee which cost about 26p to make and i feel they add this on to make the price seem more reasonable. The table sauces are cheap knock offs not branded. Would not come again and would not recommend
Excellent restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. This was the second time we had visited and is was as good as the first visit. Really excellent original menu and great service.
Nice little cafe, coffee and cake is very good. Although the last time I went in (this might have changed) they play music out of a phone at the front of the cafe it just sounds awful. I rather no music playing at all !
Lovely cafe with large selection of cakes, sandwiches and decent coffee. we stopped here to refuel whilst riding King Alfred's Way.
Friendly staff, clean toilets, sensible Covid precautions and next door to a little Nisa shop for anything else you need
Lovely cafe on the main road , great friendly staff , great service lovely food.
Would definitely recommend.
Didn't have any cakes but they definitely looked good.
Waited 50 mins past our collection time. My boyfriend isn't fussy but coor the food was abysmal! The fish was mostly skin and bones in a thin patchy layer of batter. We returned for a refund! This is sad as a year or so ago this place was devine.
After 2 years living in Salisbury and possibly my hundredth reeves Saturday morning, I cannot believe I haven't yet left a review.
Reeves always delivers. There is perhaps no better accompaniment to a sleepy Wiltshire weekend than a locally baked pasty or pastry.
Proper bakers indeed. Absolutely recommend.
I confirmed a nut allergy on arrival but was then given a brownie containing nuts. It’s a good job I spotted it before consummation. When I pointed it out the owner was rude about the situation. I’d avoid if you have a serious allergy, the company fell very short on this sensitive issue
Their Facebook page announced a new Curry Night for this pub on Saturday. These fairly new 'tenants' I believe are reaching out to fulfil their new menu idea.
We'd not been to this pub for a few years as it had never been a particularly friendly place to go into.
When we went in, there were a lot of working men at the bar and a decent amount of noise they were making.
The two female staff were holding up well and showed us to table for two in the adjacent dining room They took our drink order which is inc with the food..We ordered our vegan curries which were very good and enjoyed our evening. The staff were fairly attentive, but the whole pub decor and atmosphere is dull, uninviting, and plain. The walls are all different colours and paintwork in need of TLC. There are no curtains and it feels spartan . Not cosy nor particularly welcoming. It may be work in progress. The bar area is a little better but some personality, plants, paintings, some nick nacks or interesting small trivia to give life.
The food is good and staff are good but they'll have to work hard to keep it going without some handwork on the decorative. I wish them good luck
