This place is a must. Yes, service can be up and down but these are hard working farmers who care for their animals. If you are looking for good, alternative meat products you simply have to pay them a visit.

Went to the farm shop. Bought some goat cheese and goat meat which I made into a curry. Had a lovely chat with the staff and saw the goats. The children loved seeing where their food came from. It's so important these days as most people think food comes plastic wrapped from the super market.

My wife and I have often popped into the Gormet Goat as we passed Avebury as they are one of the few farms to sell all things goat - meat, cheese, milk etc. This time we booked a tour of the farm and arrived in time to join a small group for an informal breakfast with Laura (3rd generation farmer/owner) who explained the history and background of the farm. After a goat milk tasting (much better than the goat milk available in supermarkets) we were taken to various surrounding fields to see the goats and then up on the hills to see the cattle. We had plenty of opportunity to ask questions and we learnt about the general farming community around Avebury and how they are working together on various initiatives. After the tour, we took the opportunity to stock up on some goaty produce and enjoyed some goat ice-cream as we sat outside soaking up the last of the summer sun. The Gormet Goat Farm is doing a great job and I would highly recommend paying them a visit.

This venue was our base for an event recently. We were made very welcome, the staff were lovely. I tried some of the ice cream, which is very good. Also bought some soap, it's fabulous, will definitely return for some more. 😁

Lovely quiet local pub/restaurant. Only stopped for a quick drink but if I'm ever back in the area I will visit again and make the time to try the menu.
